John is one of our long-standing members here at The Tron and here he shares something of the story of how, through the influence of family members and a Billy Graham broadcast interrupting his TV viewing, his life was transformed by the gospel of the Lord Jesus. Reflecting on his life as a Christian, John shares about how older Christians have discipled him, how he has gone about seeking to share his faith, and how his faith has helped him through difficult times in life.
If you'd like to find out more about Jesus then we'd love to welcome you at church. Sunday services are a great place to start and we also have a new 'Life Course', which is especially for people who would like to investigate the claims of the Bible, starting in January. More information about all of this is on our website at https://tron.church .

They discuss the need for us to have confidence in God's ability to save anyone, however unlikely it might seem to us; the ways in which we can look out for tokens of God's grace; and how we can be discerning about the sorts of voices we're listening to.

In this week's Talking Points podcast, Agnes, Paul, and Willie discuss how we, as Christians today, should think rightly about the earthly land of Israel and how this relates to the fulfilment of God's promises in time. They also discuss how the Old and New Testaments relate to one another and how we should teach Christ from the Old Testament.
In the course of the discussion Paul mentions a helpful article by Sinclair Ferguson on preaching Christ from the Old Testament. You can find this article here: https://cst-media.s3.amazonaws.com/documents/doc-sferguson-peachingchrist.pdf

To mark the launch of our latest Tron Books publication we're delighted to bring you the first chapter of How God Treats His Friends read by the author, Bob Fyall.
The book is available to buy now online and will also be available at a special price in our Tron bookrooms from this Sunday. For more details, visit our website at tron.church/books
Tron Books are delighted to be re-publishing Bob Fyall's excellent book, How God Treats His Friends. This accessible and deeply insightful study of the book of Job helps readers grapple with one of Scripture’s most profound explorations of suffering, faith, and God’s sovereignty.
In the lead up to the launch this weekend, Tron Books team member Kate Johnston sat down with Bob to ask him a few questions about the book and its major themes.
Bob not only understands the Bible but understands people and he draws on his many years of Biblical study and pastoral ministry to help us understand how the book of Job works, how we should think about suffering in the Christian life, and how we might comfort friends and loved ones going through hardship.
How God Treats His Friends will be available to buy at all of our Tron locations this Sunday and, for those further afield, it can also be found online. Full details of where to find it, as well as all of our other Tron Book publications, are available on our website at tron.church/books.

The Climax of Certainty

Why is it important for us as Christians, and us as a Church, to have a clear vision for what we want to see in the future? How can we play to our strengths and use what God has given us to most effectively reach the world with the gospel? Why is it a temptation for the church to align itself to those who 'blaspheme the honourable name by which we were called'?
Fraser and Willie discuss these questions in light the sermons we heard at our services Sunday on Luke 24 and James 2. If you haven't yet listened to these sermons you can find them on our podcast feed, on our church website, or our YouTube channel.
