As we begin the new year, we are taking some time to discover what God’s Word says about how we steward every gift God has given us — our experiences, our gifts, our resources and our lives. Jesus said we are the salt of the earth — created to bring flavor, preserve what is good and add value wherever God places us. But salt only makes a difference when it’s poured out. So often, life shakes us through change, loss or challenge, and we wonder why. What if the shaking isn’t meant to break us, but to deploy us? In this series, we’ll discover how God uses those moments to grow our faith, reveal the treasure within us and pour His grace through us into a world that desperately needs it.

In Jesus, God took on flesh and entered our world to be with us, in our waiting, in Our World, in Our World and in our world. Each week of the Advent season invites us to rediscover what that means: that hope is possible because He is with us in our waiting; that peace can reign even when life feels out of control; that joy fills our hearts as we celebrate His presence; and that love came down to shine light into the darkness. Through the birth of Jesus, we see that Emmanuel, God with us, is still with us today.
