“I love you… and I want to kill you.”
If that sentence makes you feel seen, this episode is for you.
Mikelle and Michelle are joined by Béatrice Séguin, PhD, for a candid - ‘Say The Thing’ conversation about rage, resentment, desire, and changing roles in long-term relationships—especially through motherhood and perimenopause.
They unpack why two things can be true at once, how hormones and mental load collide, why mothering your partner kills libido, and what it actually takes to set boundaries, share the load, and communicate honestly without guilt. From responsive desire to dropping unrealistic expectations, this episode offers relief, validation, and real-world strategies for evolving alongside your partner instead of burning out.

When John learned about the perimenopause crisis – women suffering in silence without access to simple, effective solutions – he knew he had to act. Now he’s part of the Coral team creating personalized care that integrates hormone therapy with lifestyle medicine and coaching.
This conversation proves that when men educate themselves and show up as true allies, everything changes. Whether you're struggling to talk to your partner about what you're experiencing, or you're a man who wants to help but has no idea how, this episode is for you.

Dealing with crippling uncontrollable rage, anxiety, and crushing depression? Feeling like you're completely falling apart and your doctor's solution is to just ‘manage your stress’? Not sure if what you're experiencing is depression, perimenopause, or something else entirely?
You're not losing your mind, you're not broken, and you're definitely not alone.
Consider this startling statistic from the SWAN study: a woman’s risk of experiencing depression in the menopause transition is 59% if she has a previous history of depression, and 28% for those without a history of depression. Those are some big numbers. And most women, and their doctors, are unaware of this risk.

Dr. Corry’s Signature Program: Your Relationship Reinvention is a 6-month group experience for women navigating life after divorce, separation, or a significant breakup. It’s designed to help you break the patterns that no longer serve you (like people-pleasing, poor boundaries, and over-functioning) so you can rebuild self-trust and create a life that feels grounded, honest, and fully yours. "Vaginal estrogen should just be over the counter at this point," says Dr. Jennifer Zelovitzky. This is just one of the many facts she shares that'll change how you think about menopause care. As the clinical director of women's health at MedCan Toronto, Dr. Jen isn't just pushing back against outdated medical beliefs—she's showing us how women are suffering needlessly because doctors are treating menopause based on fear instead of facts.
With incredible clarity and genuine compassion, Dr. Jen connects the dots between your hot flashes, middle-of-the-night wake-ups, and anxiety attacks, giving you the evidence-based insights to get better care from a medical system that has let women down. "Hormone therapy is held to a higher standard than literally any other treatment out there," she points out, and her breakdown of the double standards will leave you nodding along and ready to take action.

Whether you're just starting to notice changes or you've achieved menopause, Dr. Jen's holistic approach and straight-talk will help you advocate for the care you deserve. Because as she puts it, "Menopause is inevitable, but suffering is completely optional."
