Word of the Year 2026
Guests: The Entire Panetti Family!   Our family has been selecting a “Word for the Year” for quite a while and I wanted to share this process with each of you because I really believe it can be such a valuable and rewarding experience - honestly, the process of looking for the word is, in my opinion, the most valuable part - spending time in God’s Word and in prayer and expectation - asking God what He wants to do with you this year, considering ways that you can and should grow in maturity and grace, and actually reflecting on God’s goodness and provision over the past year - it’s such a rewarding and wonderful exercise for every believer! I hope that this becomes an annual tradition in your life as it has in ours.    T4M guys - just a reminder that Training4Manhood is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) ministry and you can make donations either via Zelle (info@training4manhood.com) or by visiting the Training4Manhood website.

Preparation for Purposeful Planning
Host: Dan Panetti   I believe that too many men fail to make significant and meaningful plans for the future because they either falsely believe that they are “fine” and don’t really need to change…or they’ve tried the world’s concept of temporary changes and are tired and disappointed with the lack of true purpose. Well, that is a great set up for my word for 2026 - Purpose, that I took from Psalm 57:2 where God’s Word says, “I cry out to God Most High, to God who fulfills his purpose for me.”   Did you know that God Most High HAS a purpose for YOU? He does. And He wants you to know Him, know His plan, and live in such a way that you advance His purpose for your life. If you are looking at your goals for 2026 with that mindset, asking God what He wants to do in and through you, your goals will reflect a much different concept than just self-promotion.   Guys, my prayer for you is that you do the hard work of preparing yourself to truly know God…and make Him known through your life - all that you say and do would be a reflection of His goodness and glory for the world to see. Jesus told his disciples in Matthew 5 that they “are the light of the world.” I think you can agree with me that this dark world needs more lights…lights that shine brightly and point the way to the hope that is Christ Jesus! As you look at all the Christmas lights on your Christmas tree - that’s exactly what they are doing…pointing you upward toward heaven to see the true Light of the World!   Praying for you to have a Merry Christmas - and to prepare yourself for an incredible New Year - ask what God wants to do with your life…and then walk in a manner worthy of your calling in the coming days ahead! What Makes a Great Man? | Choosing a Good Name Over Great Riches
Host: Dan Panetti   In Democracy in America, French writer Alexis deTocqueville makes the statement that democracy/liberty enables men to do “great things.” But, he also emphasizes that America’s top priority shouldn’t be producing men who can do great things, but producing “great men.” What makes a “great man”? As you consider your goals and “Word for the Year” consider what you’re pursuing - great things…or being a great man? Proverbs 22:1 tells us that a good name is to be chosen rather than great riches - so there is a choice to be made, a decision, a direction that differs between the two end goals - which will you choose to pursue?   T4M guys - just a reminder that Training4Manhood is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) ministry and you can make donations either via Zelle (info@training4manhood.com) or by visiting the Training4Manhood website.

Finding God's Purpose for YOUR Life
Psalm 57:2 I cry out to God Most High, to God who fulfills His purpose for me.   God is at work…what is HIS purpose for YOUR life? Don’t get caught in the comparison game of temporary things, seek the greater good of a bigger God who has designed you for His good works…and walk in them…meaning that you need to move at God’s speed, not the hurried pace of this world to enjoy God’s purposes being revealed and perfected in your life. Men, don’t miss this - your eternal rewards are tied to your eternal investments into God’s purposes for your life.   Resource Suggestions The Freedom of Self-Forgetfulness by Tim Keller The Rare Jewel of Christian Contentment by Jeremiah Burroughs Life Without Lack by Dallas Willard   T4M guys - just a reminder that Training4Manhood is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) ministry and you can make donations either via Zelle (info@training4manhood.com) or by visiting the Training4Manhood website.

Changing Your Perspective | Game Plan for a New Outlook on Life
Is your home a peaceful and nourishing place - what can you do to make it a more inviting environment? The change you want…starts with YOU! In Jeremiah 13 there is a profound question - can an Ethiopian change his skin or the leopard his spots? The idea is how can a person change who they are - and this is the idea that God offers you a new life, to be born again, transformed into a new creature in Christ - all amazing concepts that begin with accepting the free gift of God’s grace by faith made available through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ! From there…get plugged into a good Bible-teaching church and SERVE others - and I believe that your environment will begin to change…as you do!   T4M guys - just a reminder that Training4Manhood is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) ministry and you can make donations either via Zelle (info@training4manhood.com) or by visiting the Training4Manhood website.

Wisdom from the Wedding Party (Part 1 of 2)
Guests: Sir Duncan, William Price, Brady Taylor, Dakota Kennan, Ty Olsen, Jake Edwards, Nathan Litwiller, and Grayson Frank   Wow, what an exciting weekend celebrating the wedding/marriage of our son Parker. I wish we could have recorded the incredible speeches at the rehearsal dinner - funny, uplifting, encouraging, and challenging - and that got me thinking that I needed to catch the guys in Parker’s wedding party and record some of their thoughts - so, on Saturday afternoon, I tore the guys away from watching college football to record and share their thoughts and wisdom about marriage, relationships, life together with friends and family…and these young men shared some remarkable insights and wisdom.   I hope that you are encouraged as you listen - these young men are all in their mid-to-late twenties and doing life well - in a godly community, pursuing Christ, serving in their churches, loving God and others well. They haven’t bought into the lie that Biblical headship means putting others down to elevate self, or that submission means “less than.” They believe that leadership means serving and they aren’t just about talking the talk, but they are walking the walk…not perfectly, but in the grace of God and the truth of His Word.   Enjoy these two episodes of Wisdom from the Wedding Party - and be encouraged to build your own godly community of men who will strengthen and encourage you to be the best men you can be! Part of the Crowd...or One of the Called-Out?
Mark chapter 3 As you read about the crowd that followed Jesus, Mark turns his attention to those whom Jesus called out to be His disciples - and then listened them by name. Those twelve moved from the crowd, to the CALLED-OUT - from darkness to light, from death to life - and that is my prayer for each of you. Being called out means that you have been called INTO the family of God, INTO a relationship with God through His Son Jesus Christ, INTO a new identity as a child of God, and INTO the meaningful, eternal work that the Lord has prepared before hand for you to walk in!   But, Jesus also reminds us that we should “count the cost” of following Him - of moving from the crowd of interested and intrigued to the family of God. Think about what it costs those twelve disciples that we mentioned earlier - the eleven that stayed faithful to Jesus all paid a tremendous cost for their relationship with Him. But, as Peter reminds us in John chapter 6, there is no other alternative to following Jesus that makes any sense at all! As Jesus says in John 14, He is the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE - if you want access to the Father, it is available through Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son (John 3:16).   T4M guys - just a reminder that Training4Manhood is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) ministry and you can make donations either via Zelle (info@training4manhood.com) or by visiting the Training4Manhood website.

Faithfulness of a Friend
Proverbs 27:6 - The wounds of a friend are faithful…   What does it mean to be a “friend” and why is it important to use that word with precision and clarity? I think about the biblical admonition to be a friend…and George Washington’s statement that “True friendship is a plant of slow growth that must withstand the shocks of adversity before it is given the name.” A proper understanding and expectation of what a “friend” is will be helpful in finding good friends…and being a good friend!   T4M guys - just a reminder that Training4Manhood is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) ministry and you can make donations either via Zelle (info@training4manhood.com) or by visiting the Training4Manhood website.

Running to the Loving Embrace of Your Heavenly Father
Guest: Dr. Steven Lytle, Sparrow House Counseling   Far too many young men struggle seeing a clear and accurate picture of God, as their Heavenly Father, because of the real or perceived shortcomings of their earthly fathers. Dr. Steven Lytle reminds us that the role of the father is to provide for this family, but it is so much more than just putting food on the table and a roof over their head. A father is also meant to provide his attention, affection, and affirmation. Listen as Steven and I discuss how men can be the best father-figures for their boys, but also how the greatest calling of every father is to point their children to the loving embrace of their Perfect Heavenly Father!   T4M guys - just a reminder that Training4Manhood is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) ministry and you can make donations either via Zelle (info@training4manhood.com) or by visiting the Training4Manhood website.

Labor Day - How is Your Work/Life Balance?
God’s Word speaks about the importance and value of work - we are demonstrating to a watching world the character and nature of our God when we work and are creative and use our gifts and talents for the betterment and wellbeing of others, too! Let’s appreciate that we can be rewarded for our labors - if you need an accurate description of the problems with a socialistic economic system, check out Frederic Bastiat’s The Law - great, and short, read!   Young men, now is the time to develop your biblical worldview of work - before you give yourself to a world system that will take your youthful years and leave you little to no time for developing your relationship with the Lord, your family, friends, or for taking care of others in need. The world system will reward you for sacrificing your family (and your morals) to the advancement of your career - don’t play the fool and sacrifice the eternal rewards for the temporary ones! Remember the question from Jesus in the Gospel of Mark - what does it profit a man to gain the whole world…and lose his soul?
