In today's episode of Travel Agency in a year, I mention how you can "pad" the dates for your goals and create deadlines in your business to help you a) achieve your annual goals (hopefully quicker) and b) leverage your procrastination.
You can do this for your content scheduling, consultations booked, setting up your automations. Give yourself a deadline that is at least a week or two ahead of schedule for each quarter, and you'll be surprised how much you can get done in your travel business by the end of the year.
How in the heck do you manage your limited time when you're starting and/or building a travel agency and you have a full time job? Or you're running a household with young children?
This episode offers insight on how to manage it all, and how to segregate tasks throughout your week. For in-depth support on time management when you're managing everything else in your life, join the Success Circle.
This episode is more of a "pick-me-up" with some tips to stay on track with your goals as a travel advisor, expanding on yesterday's episode about discipline and types of motivation.
It's all about the baby steps! Keep it simple, take small actions every day to grow your travel business.
This entire podcast and the Success Circle was born out of helping people grow their travel business over time vs. shorter programs that can overwhelm.
Let's talk about discipline, motivation, types of motivation and how you can set you and your travel agency up for success in the coming year.
Are you going to be perfect? No. Are you going to have setbacks? Yes. So, let's discuss baby steps you can implement now to keep you on the track to Future You.
For Day 5, we're talking money - defining gross vs. net revenues, fixed vs. variable costs, how to forecast your budget for the following year and can you afford those upgrades you noted yesterday? What expenses last year made a true return on the investment?
I do talk about the "Profit First" method, and highly recommend you pick up that book.
If you want all the workbooks tied to topics from this podcast, join the Success Circle for $35/month.
Don't forget! I'm not a CPA, this is not financial advice, simply my experience with growing my travel agency. If you have questions, please consult with a CPA and/or business attorney regarding the structure of your business.
Building on yesterday! Ok, so you have a goal revenue, know how many consultations you need to book, what your conversion rate is.
Now it's time to think about can you still serve additional bookings at the same level, or do you need to invest in software upgrades or templates to help you manage the new level of clients to keep your sanity?
We'll talk about Ideal Client Avatar (ICA), and how when you're a smaller business, it's much more important than going viral.
We'll also go over creating the foundation of your marketing strategy based on the previous year's revenue & your goal for next year. Understand your conversion rate and how much you'll need to scale online or building your local network.
If you're newer, listen up! Important things you'll need to track as a business owner. If you're established as a TA but have never really looked at how all of the data comes together to help you grow your business, prepare yourself.
This is the first week in the Success Circle, and I'll tell ya, seeing all of the real information on the health of your business is very difficult. And very important.
Day 1 is here! This episode is more for new agents, and all about the Business Plan. If you've been around the industry for a while and still don't have a business plan, you might wanna listen.
If you wanna pick the free replay of "Business Plan 101", you can do so here.
Yep, this is different. 1 short episode per day with tips to help you actually create and run a business.
