This is a podcast focusing on all types of true crime: solved cases, unsolved, missing and survivor stories. I became an R.N in 2007 and received my AAS in criminal investigations in 2009 in order to become a SANE nurse. I interned with my father, one of the top Forensic Consultants in the country. I am a DV/SA survivor who fought relentlessly to have my attacker brought to justice. I am a friend to victims who have lost their lives, some received justice and some have not. I've been there as their families fought for their loved ones. Now I want to talk about it & I hope you want to join me!

The 15y (Solved) True Crime Cold Case of 18y College Freshman Anita Knutson Ft. Cold Justice Pt 1
There were 15 cold cases in North Dakota up until last year. Anita Knutson's case was one of those 15 and probably the most well known case, or atleast one of the most well known. Anita's case sat cold for 15 years until the Tv show Cold Justice came in to help.
June 4, 2007, Gordon Knutson drives 1 hour to his Daughter Anita's apartment to check on her after not being able to get a hold of her all weekend. Anita had just finished her freshman year at Minot State University where she was studying Elementary Education.
Once Gordon arrives at his daughters apartment he sees her car parked in the driveway. But repeated knocks on the door got no answer. Concerned for his daughter he get a hold of the Property Manager who comes to the apartment with the Maintenance Man. They go around the building where Gordon sees Anita's bedroom window wide open with the screen completely gone. He goes over to the window and looks inside. Gordon sees his beautiful 18y daughter face down on her bed. He reached through the window and touched Anita's head. She was cold. It was obvious to Gordon that his daughter was gone and was far beyond the point of being able to be helped.
15 years go by with no developments to Anita's case and Cold Justice comes in to film a 2 part 100th episode. Based off of their investigation they were able to arrest someone that had been on their radar for years.
What did Cold Justice do that the Minot P.D. couldn't or didn't do? According to Minot PD, the reason they could not solve Anita's case was because they didn't have the focus to do it and didn't spend the time on it that they should have. These are their words and it is infuriating!! Cold Justice did not uncover new evidence they just put existing evidence together in an order that made sense. All things the P.D. could have done but did not spend the time on it to do! There is so much information on this case that this will be a multiple part case. This is Part 1.
