Welcome to the very first episode of the Twin Cities Video Production Podcast—the show dedicated to spotlighting the most talented video production companies, freelance videographers, and industry professionals in Minneapolis, St. Paul, and beyond. Whether you’re a filmmaker, content creator, marketing professional, or business owner looking to leverage high-quality video, this podcast is for you.
I’m your host, Travis Johansen, a freelance videographer at Provid Films, a Minneapolis-based video production company. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with businesses, agencies, and creatives all across the Twin Cities. One thing I’ve learned? There’s an incredible amount of talent right here in our backyard—but not nearly enough collaboration, visibility, or business opportunities being shared. That’s exactly why I created this podcast.
The Twin Cities Video Production Podcast exists for three key reasons: to connect, to educate and entertain, and to elevate. First, we want to connect the best video professionals in the area. Whether you run a production company, work as a freelance videographer, or are an aspiring filmmaker, this show is here to introduce you to others in the industry. This is a space to hear their stories, learn from their experiences, and—most importantly—build meaningful relationships.
Second, we’re here to educate and entertain. Video production is a constantly evolving field, and whether you’re just starting out or have been in the game for decades, there’s always something new to learn. Each episode, we’ll be bringing on seasoned professionals to talk about their journey, share industry insights, and break down topics like pricing strategies, gear recommendations, storytelling techniques, and how to land high-value clients.
And lastly, we want to elevate. There’s a huge demand for quality video production, and businesses are always looking for professionals who can help them create great content. Through this podcast, we’re not just giving our guests a platform to showcase their expertise—we’re also making it easier for businesses and agencies to find the right talent for their projects. If you’re a business owner or marketing professional looking to hire a videographer or production team, this podcast will introduce you to some of the best in the business.
Now, if you’re a videographer or run a production company, I want to extend an invitation to you—let’s feature you on the show! This is your opportunity to share your expertise, showcase your work, and get in front of an engaged audience of business owners, creatives, and potential clients. If you’re interested, head over to www.providfilms.com and apply to be a guest.
