This week’s episode is as real as it gets and comes with a trigger warning! No plan, no outline, no fancy prep — just us, curled up on Zara’s bed, talking, getting teary and letting whatever needed to come out… come out. We didn’t even edit this one!
We spoke all about grief, in all its messy, surprising forms. Yes, we spoke a lot about physical loss — the people we’ve loved and lost — but we also explored the grief that comes with change, disappointment, identity shifts, friendships evolving, relationships ending and the versions of ourselves we’ve had to say goodbye to.
We had a quick look at the stages of grief, but mostly to acknowledge that they’re not neat, not linear, and not something you ever “complete.” They show up in waves, loops, spirals — especially around Christmas, when emotions are louder, memories feel heavier, and the empty chairs at the table hit a little harder.
This episode is dedicated to everyone who’s grieving, in whatever form that looks like for you.
But especially to the people close to us who have lost loved ones recently — you know who you are. We’re holding you in our hearts.
If you’re going through it, we hope this conversation makes you feel a little less alone.
