From Westeros we somehow end up in the hair discussion…AGAIN! We’re talking hair politics and the latest viral clip from the show ‘My Style Rocks’. If you missed it: a white contestant wore an Afro, a Black woman almost broke down in tears explain the complexities of this decision, and the judges… decided to berate her. We unpack the messy double standards between Black women wearing straight hair versus white women wearing Afro styles, and where the conversation about cultural respect really needs to go.
We also get into keratin treatments on Black hair and the importance of Black spaces, and why they’re still so needed in 2025.
And finally, we shout out and celebrate PY for the grand opening of Podhaus in Hamburg.
