In episode 271 of our SAP on Azure video podcast we talk about very large HANA environments on Azure.
Already in the early days of running SAP on Azure, we had customers with large HANA environemnts. Obviously, in the beginning we talked about 2 or 4 Terrabyte systems. We were always supporting the largets environment and today we want to talk about a new recent S/4HANA scale-out environment with 24 TB VMs. This whole projects shows how the growth even of complex HANA architectures, from 3 TB to 6TH, 12 TB, 24 TB or even 32 TB is something that we support on Azure. In episode 269 of our SAP on Azure video podcast we talk about the Model Context Protocol being used on the SAP Business Technology Platform.
A few months ago we had my colleauge Alice on the show who introduced a tool that would allow you to convert an OData service in an MCP, a Model Context Protocol, server. Since then we had many more talks and we could see a lot of projects popping up that used this idea to create new MCP servers. The benefit are obvious: OData and MCP are a match made in heaven. What is often described has a shortcoming of OData -- its chattyness and too much information -- is a huge benefit in MCP, where you need a good description of the various tools.
One other project that caught not only mine, but the attention of the whole SAP community is the OData MCP bridge on BTP, the SAP Business Technology Platform. To share us more about this project, the AI Data Enabler, I am happy to have Wouter, Tom and Marian with us today. Welcome to our show.

In episode 261 of our SAP on Azure video podcast we have another News update.
A few weeks back we had a News-only episode where we just looked at what had happened in the SAP and Microsoft space in recent weeks without focusing on any specfic topic. We actually got quite some positive feedback, so we decided to do this more often. It will be a shorter episode, but I think this is good with everyone. Of course, we will also continue to do our deep dives on specific topics.
