Esther 5 & 6: Humility and Wisdom
This teaching explores the themes of humility, wisdom, and trust in God’s timing through the story of Esther. It highlights Esther’s courage in waiting for the right moment to approach King Xerxes, showing that patience is not passivity but wisdom. The lesson contrasts Esther’s faith with Haman’s pride, emphasizing how unchecked arrogance leads to downfall, while humility and trust in God’s plan bring honor. Through biblical examples and personal reflection, it encourages students to trust God’s perfect timing, resist pride, and remain faithful even when the

Esther 3 & 4
In this sermon, we dive into the story of Esther, focusing on the contrast between self-interest and the best interests of others. Through the actions of characters like Haman, Xerxes, and Esther, we see how human nature often drives us to prioritize our own desires, but as followers of Christ, we are called to live differently. The message challenges us to consider how God may have placed us where we are "for such a time as this"—to step beyond our own self-interest and act for the good of others.

Noahic Covenant
God is a faithful God who keeps his promises. This semester we will explore together how important this truth is through looking at the five biblical covenants, followed by the book of Esther. We are looking first at the Noahic Covenant where we find that the place of redemption starts with a realization of our own brokenness!

The New Covenant
After studying the other four biblical covenants, we finish our series by looking at the New Covenant. Jesus is the ultimate fulfillment of God's plan for redemption. It is because of the saving work that Jesus has done for us that we no longer have to be good enough or follow the law perfectly. Instead, as believers in Christ under this New Covenant, we live in freedom and as part of God's family. So the question is, have you trusted in Jesus and are you walking in the light?

The Davidic Covenant: After God's Own Heart
Tonight, we’re diving into the Davidic Covenant in 2 Samuel 7:8-17 and exploring what it truly means to be someone after God’s own heart. David wasn’t chosen because of his status, appearance, or perfection—he was chosen because of his heart for God. Even in his greatest failures, David’s willingness to repent and realign himself with God set him apart. His story reminds us that God isn’t looking for perfect people, but for those who are fully surrendered to Him.

The Mosaic Covenant
The Mosaic Covenant was an opportunity for the Israelites to choose life or death, blessings or obedience. This covenant was an invitation to be God's holy people- a light to the rest of the world! As believers, we are no longer the Mosaic, or Old Covenant, but we are still called to be set apart as His people. And ultimately, this invitation to choose life or death is one that is still offered to us today. So, what will we choose?

The Abrahamic Covenant
In the book of Genesis we learn about our second biblical covenant: The Abrahamic Covenant. This covenant is one that God makes with Abraham and his descendants. Through this story, we see God's faithfulness to keep his promises. Though it takes a long time, Abraham and Sarah learn that waiting on the Lord allows them to see how he really is God Almighty.

First Importance
The death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus are the most important events that have ever taken place in the history of the world. Paul says they are of "first importance." He Did It for You

In Jesus' last moments before he is arrested, Jesus modeled for us the importance and significance of communion and prayed in agony at Gethsemane. Through all of these moments, Jesus is willing to fulfill the will of God in his life because he loves us. He loves us even though we did nothing to deserve it. He loves us even though it cost him. As disciples, we must approach Jesus with extreme thankfulness for his sacrifice on our behalf.

The Greatest Command
We often measure our growth or "success" as a Christian based on our ability to achieve for God. Jesus, however, redefines what true "success" looks like by teaching us to be people who learn to love him and others well. We will look at the passage about the Greatest Commandment and the parable of the Good Samaritan to see what this looks like.

Prayer and the King

Jesus arrives in Jerusalem and enters as the King he is. Once he is there, he finds the temple lacking. Instead of being a house of prayer for all nations it has become a den of robbers. Our role as Jesus disciples is to worship him as King and to be a church devoted to prayer.

This message also challenge us to take a hard look at the things in our own lives that pull us away from God and encourage us to take bold steps to remove them, no matter how tough it may be.

Who is He to You?
If we want to call ourselves Jesus disciples we have to be ready to answer the question, who is Jesus to you? Is he just someone you know casually, or is he the Messiah? And then we have to decide, who will we be to Jesus? Are we willing to deny ourselves, take up our crosses, and follow Him in order to be his disciple?

Can You See Him

Through the miracle of the feeding of the 5,000 and Jesus walking on water we see God at work in our midst. However, the disciples missed the miraculous because they were focused on the mundane. Our job as disciples is to be able to recognize the work of God in our midst and join in!

The Kingdom Needs More Farmers
The parable of the sower in Mark 4 teaches us multiple things at once. If we are a Christ follower, we are given a new vocation of farming! Our job is to share the good news of God with as many people as we can. There is so much that we learn from the farmer in this parable about how we do this well. We also have the responsibility to ask ourselves, "what kind of soil am I?".
