Because Jesus reveals the glory of God and completes the work of salvation, eternal life is secured not by our effort but by knowing and trusting the Son who finished the Father’s will.
In John 17, Jesus does not merely pray before the cross—he interprets the cross for us. He lifts the veil on what his life, death, and exaltation truly accomplish, so that our faith would rest on certainty, not confusion.

Jesus shows us that our fears, limitations, and losses are notobstacles to His mission—but invitations to depend on theHelper who accomplishes what we never could.
The perseverance of God’s people in the face of hatred is grounded in the sovereign grace of Christ, who both predicts and preserves their faith.
Jesus invites us to experience the fullness of His love by abiding in Him—the Vine who gives life to the lifeless, joy to the weary, and love to the loveless—so that His life might flow through us to others.
Jesus assures His followers that though He departs, He does not leave them alone; through the indwelling Holy Spirit, He provides His abiding presence, deep communion, and ongoing care so that His people may live in love, obedience, and peace.
John 14:1–14 unfolds the glory of Christ as the exclusive Mediator between God and man—the incarnate Way, the embodied Truth, and the eternal Life—so that every heart might rest secure in the Father’s love.
Jesus reveals that His cross is the supreme display of God’s glory, commands His disciples to embody that love toward one another, and extends grace to us when we fail—so that our lives and our church bear witness to His love and glory.🔗 Vine Church Tampa | Facebook | Instagram | 🕙 10:00 AM English. 11:45 AM Español.🕙 10:00 AM – Bilingual Service | Servicio Bilingüe (1st Sunday of the Month / 1er Domingo del Mes)
This passage shows us two life-and-death realities of following Jesus: first, we must be washed by grace (vv. 1–17), and second, we must be warned for faith (vv. 18–30).
John will show us two realities we cannot ignore: first, the death of Jesus is the seed that brings fruit (vv. 12–33); and second, the urgency of His call demands our response today (vv. 34–50).
True devotion to Christ is costly, humble, and fearless—like Mary’s anointing of Jesus’ feet—and when our hearts pour out everything for Him, our ordinary lives become a powerful, fragrant witness of His glory.
We share in the glory of the Savior in four profound ways, each demonstrating His incredible power and loving devotion: first– He seeks God’s glory (vv. 1–16), second– He meets us in our sorrows (vv. 17–37), third– He calls the dead to life (vv. 38–44), and finally– He divides with His power (vv. 45–57). Let’s celebrate the extraordinary work of our Savior, who transforms our lives and brings glory to God through His unmatched compassion and authority.
His word calls us to marvel at the glory of the Shepherd’s secure grip (vv. 22–30) and to trust in the grace of the Son’s enduring mission (vv. 31–42).
