Today Chris and Kimberly discuss why Israel wanted a king. How often do we decide for ourselves what is best for us instead of looking to God and seeing the framework He has already provided? Instead of letting God change our hearts, we look for external fixes from the world. God wants to bless the Israelites, He wants to bless us, but when we turn from God’s leadership towards human leadership, we miss out on that blessing. When we live into God’s calling not only can we live into His blessing, but we get the amazing opportunity to bless others and encourage them to live into His blessing for them.
