In a world that tells moms to speed up, I’m here to talk about what happens when we finally slow down. I’m Émilie — a Slow Motherhood Mentor and psychotherapist — and these episodes are basically voice notes from my real life. Unscripted, honest, sometimes messy, always real. If you’re a mom who’s tired of rushing, tired of performing, and craving a more grounded, meaningful way of living, you’ll feel at home here.

Falling Out of Slow Living (And Finding My Way Back) | Ep. 7

In this episode, I’m sharing a real moment from my own slow living journey — the part we don’t usually see online. Even though I teach and live slow motherhood, I found myself slipping back into old patterns of overworking, pushing through exhaustion, and telling myself “just one more task.” I want to be honest about that. Slow living isn’t about being perfect — it’s about noticing when we’ve drifted, and gently bringing ourselves back.

I talk about:

  • How I recognized I was slipping back into hustle-mode
  • The old patterns that still try to creep in (and how I catch them sooner now)
  • Why “falling off” isn’t failure — it’s part of the practice
  • What rest looks like for me today (and how I’m saying no to urgency)
  • Returning to my values and to-do list with compassion, not shame

If you’re craving a slower pace, softer expectations, and a reminder that you’re not alone in figuring this all out — you’re in the right place.
