Psalm 136 was a Hebrew writers effort to thank God for the many wonders he had seen and heard about. Each one is followed by the reason for that blessing. His steadfast love endures forever! While our blessings are somewhat different, they are also similar in many ways and we receive them for the same reason.

Jesus knew how doubtful Peter had been, and how unqualified he was and yet Jesus saw something in Peter and called him to be a disciple.
