In the final message of our Christmas series The God Who Comes Close, Ps Dan explores one of the most challenging truths of the Christmas story: there was no room at the inn. Many people aren’t rejecting Jesus — they’re just busy, distracted, and full. From Luke 2 and Matthew 2, this message invites us to slow down, clear space, and allow Jesus to reorder our priorities, our worship, and our direction. In this message we explore:• Why crowded hearts often miss divine moments• How worship requires surrender and costly obedience• Why real encounters with Jesus always change our direction• What it looks like to make room for the King in everyday lifeThis is a timely and honest invitation to pause, reflect, and respond — not just at Christmas, but as a way of life.📖 Primary Scriptures:Luke 2:1–7Matthew 2:1–12🎄 Series: The God Who Comes Close📍 Heart Church, MorecambeIf this message encourages you:👍 Like the podcast💬 Leave a comment📲 Share it with someone who needs space and hope this Christmas🔔 Subscribe for weekly teaching🎧 Also available on the Heart Church PodcastThis Christmas, make room for the King.
At Christmas, we sing about peace — but many of us still feel weary, anxious, or stretched thin.
In this Christmas Carol message, Dan explores the powerful truth behind Hark! The Herald Angels Sing and the angelic announcement:
“Peace on earth… God and sinners reconciled.”
Drawing on a personal story from the early days of marriage, real-life illustrations, and the Christmas story from Luke 2, this message reminds us that peace isn’t something we have to chase — peace came looking for us.
Jesus didn’t come to shout instructions from heaven.
He came close.
He stepped into our mess.
He stood in the gap.
And He offers forgiveness, reconciliation, and new life to all who receive Him.
Whether you’re exploring faith, returning to church, or looking for fresh hope this Christmas, this message invites you to discover that peace has a name — and His name is Jesus.
What happens when heaven interrupts the ordinary?
In this message from our Christmas series The God Who Comes Close, Ps Dan unpacks the powerful moment when God reveals His glory not to kings or priests — but to shepherds working the night shift.
From Luke 2:8–20, we’re reminded that:
• God often breaks into the most unexpected places
• His presence replaces fear with courage
• Real encounters with Jesus always lead to transformation and testimony
This message is for anyone who feels overlooked, stuck in routine, or wrestling with fear. Heaven doesn’t wait for perfect moments — it breaks into ordinary lives and changes everything.

God is closer than you think.
In the opening week of our Christmas teaching series, we look at Mary’s encounter with God in Luke 1:26–38 — a moment that reminds us God steps into ordinary places, interrupts our plans with His purposes, and moves powerfully through hearts that are surrendered.God didn’t wait for Mary to be ready, influential, or impressive. He simply stepped into her story. And He still steps into ours today. 🙌In this message we explore:• How God draws near in the ordinary• Why His call often disrupts our plans• What surrender really looks like• How to respond when God is inviting you into something new• What it means to say, “Let it be to me according to Your word.”This Christmas… God is closer than you think.
In this final message of our Stand Firm series, we explore the only offensive piece of God’s armour: the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God (Ephesians 6:17).Discover how God’s Word confronts lies, brings life, strengthens faith, and equips us to stand firm in every spiritual battle. We also look at Paul’s call to “pray in the Spirit on all occasions” — what it means, what it doesn’t mean, and how prayer activates the whole armour of God.If you’ve ever felt spiritually drained, under pressure, or unsure how to fight back, this message will give you biblical clarity, practical tools, and fresh confidence in God’s power.ChaptersChapter 1: The Word Defeats Lies0:00 - 8:00We learn how Jesus used Scripture as a weapon against Satan's temptations, demonstrating that God's Word is our primary defence against the enemy's lies.Chapter 2: The Word Brings Life8:00 - 16:00We discover that God's Word is living, active, sharp, and precise—not just informing us but transforming us and bringing life to dead situations.Chapter 3: Prayer Activates the Armou16:00 - 24:00We learn that prayer in the Spirit is not about speaking in tongues but about praying under the Holy Spirit's guidance, which activates and empowers all the armour of God.Chapter 4: Standing Firm and Advancing24:00 - 30:00We conclude by declaring together that we stand firm in God's armour, equipped with His Word and prayer, ready to advance in victory rather than merely defend.Connect With Us❤️ Heart Church Morecambe📅 Sundays — 10:30am (Coffee from 10am)📍 Morecambe Bay Community Primary School👶 Kids & Youth every weekSubscribe for more messages that inspire faith and strengthen your walk with Jesus

In a world drowning in information—where we process the equivalent of 74 gigabytes of data daily, more than someone 500 years ago consumed in their entire lifetime—we desperately need a clear voice to guide us through the chaos. This message takes us deep into John 10, where Jesus describes himself as the Good Shepherd, offering us the most profound relationship available: one where we are truly known, deeply loved, and carefully guided. The imagery is powerful and personal—Jesus doesn't just point the way from a distance; he lays down his life for his sheep. This isn't about religious duty or trying harder to be good enough. It's about recognising that our primary relationship with God changes everything else. When we make space each morning to hear the Shepherd's voice before the noise of the world floods in, we position ourselves to live from a place of security rather than striving. The restoration of Peter in John 21, where Jesus asks three times 'Do you love me?' and responds with 'Feed my sheep,' shows us that our love for God naturally overflows into love for others. We're not called to be dominated by people or to dominate them, but to serve one another freely because we're already filled by the only Master whose love is completely pure. This is the antidote to our distracted, anxious age: knowing we belong to the Shepherd who searches for us when we're lost, binds up our wounds when we're injured, and strengthens us when we're weak.
At the heart of this message lies a profound truth that many of us struggle to accept: we've all messed up, yet God's love remains unshakeable. Through the story of Peter's denial of Jesus in Luke 22, we encounter a powerful reminder that our failures don't disqualify us from God's purpose. Peter, one of Jesus' closest friends, denied knowing Him three times—yet Jesus had already declared Peter would be the rock upon which the church would be built. This paradox reveals something stunning about grace: God knows our future failures and still calls us into His mission. The message challenges a common pastoral issue—people disqualifying themselves from God's love because of their past. Whether it's Adam and Eve, King David, Jonah, or Peter, Scripture is filled with flawed people whom God used powerfully. The gospel doesn't require perfection; it requires surrender. When we understand that Jesus died for us while we were still sinners, we realize that no amount of baggage is too heavy for Him to carry. The call today is to stop living under the weight of shame and start walking in the freedom Christ purchased for us. Our lives are too significant, our time too precious, and our calling too great to remain trapped by past mistakes.
📖 Ephesians 6:16; Hebrews 11:1

We’re in Week 3 of our series The Armour of God — and this week, Ps Dan unpacks what it really means to “put on the breastplate of righteousness.”Righteousness isn’t about perfection — it’s about protection. It’s both a gift we receive from Jesus and a life we choose to live daily. When we’re clothed in Christ’s righteousness, our hearts are guarded against accusation, compromise, and shame.💡 In this message:Discover what “righteousness” truly means (2 Corinthians 5:21)Learn how holiness and obedience protect us from unnecessary woundsBe reminded that you fight from acceptance, not for acceptanceBe encouraged to stand confident in who you are in Christ📖 “Stand firm then, with the breastplate of righteousness in place.” — Ephesians 6:14
📖 Ephesians 6:14a – “Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist.”
Truth holds everything together. In a world where “your truth” and “my truth” are constantly shifting, God’s truth remains unchanging — it protects, it frees, and it keeps us ready for the battles we face.
In this message, Pastor Dan Cronin unpacks:
Truth Protects from Lies – learning to recognise and resist the enemy’s deception.
Truth Brings Freedom – discovering how knowing Jesus, the Truth, breaks the chains of fear and shame.
Truth Keeps Us Ready – living alert, anchored, and equipped for whatever comes.
💬 “The first duty of every soul is to find not its freedom but its Master.” – P.T. Forsyth
