We Got Your 6@6 with THE PEOPLE'S PATRIOT PROJECT
This week’s guests sparked a powerful and meaningful conversation centered on service, family, and healing. Margot joined us to share her deep connection to the military community. Although she did not serve herself, her life has always been intertwined with those who have. She founded a nonprofit dedicated to supporting military families—especially children—by providing programs focused on mental health, resilience, and strengthening family bonds. Her organization is powered by passionate volunteers, including some of the highest-ranking military leaders, all committed to supporting mental health within the service community. Margot also works with Tours of Duty (toursofduty.org), an organization that trains veterans to assist in search and recovery missions for MIA and POW cases. Founded by Amanda Rutlidge, Tours of Duty is made up of an exceptionally skilled and dedicated team, and Margot shared how honored she is to be part of that mission. On the music side of the show, we welcomed David Brown of David & The Dirty Sinners. David talked about the band’s journey—filling in with award-winning musicians and continuing to push forward despite the uphill climb. He explained the meaning behind “The Dirty Sinners,” embracing the idea that you can fall, fail, and still get back up and keep going. We also loved the discussion around music authenticity—David shared his belief that music should be real, drawn from lived experience, not manufactured or created by AI or those who haven’t lived the stories they sing about. We Got Your 6@6 with THE PEOPLE'S PATRIOT PROJECT
This week’s guests delivered a truly first-rate and powerful conversation. Documentary filmmaker Conrad Weaver joined us to share his deep passion for telling the stories of PTSD and trauma faced by first responders and those who serve. Conrad spoke candidly about how trauma often exists before someone ever puts on a uniform—and how those buried experiences can resurface when situations become overwhelming. His documentary PTSD 911 left a lasting impact on us years ago, making it especially moving to sit down with the man who brought those stories, and the responders within them, to life. Conrad also reflected on his 2023 coast-to-coast bicycle journey, completed in just 65 days to promote the film. The ride became a personal proving ground, teaching him that growth often comes from discomfort and suffering—challenging the idea that hardship should be avoided. Looking ahead, Conrad is launching a new website, expanding work with first responder agencies, hosting an upcoming Leadership Summit, and releasing a book this spring chronicling his 65-day ride and the lessons learned along the way. Musically, we were joined by Michael Allen, an incredibly talented and thoughtful artist. Michael connected deeply with the themes of trauma discussed by Conrad, sharing some of his own experiences. He’s preparing to release a new EP and a new song in mid-to-late January, while also expanding into non-service-related music to reach a broader audience. Featured Songs: Blood – raw and powerful, speaks for itself War Machine – a fitting reflection on mental health and Conrad’s mission Lingering Love – a relatable look at love that fades but never fully disappears What We’re Working On: Wreaths Across America – Thank you for honoring our heroes laid to rest at national cemeteries WeP3 Radio – the leading music station featuring music created, written, produced, and performed by those who have served their country and communities 🎥 Watch the full episode on YouTube: This Week’s Episode – click here Next Week’s Guest (December 21, 2025): Margo LaPoint – Military Kids Retreats AND musician David Brown with David and the Dirty Sinners

Last night’s episode was a true “shoot-from-the-hip” session with the WeP3 team. With both scheduled guests tied up elsewhere, Mark, Frank, and Andrea stepped in and did what they do best—kept the conversation rolling and had a great time doing it. This episode has a laid-back, behind-the-scenes feel, and we hope you enjoy listening as much as we enjoyed recording it. We also took time to spotlight Frank’s work as an author, highlighting his writing journey, the efforts he’s made to get his books out into the world, and what projects he has coming up next. Musically, the night was all about fun. The song selections came straight from the WeP3 team, and they did not disappoint. In this week’s episode, we welcome Sarah Lee, a true go-getter with a passion for helping those fighting internal battles. Sarah shares her incredible story of cycling 4,000 miles solo in search of peace and clarity. Along the way, she was shown tremendous kindness, and now she’s determined to pay it forward through her mission and her work with therapeutic adventures through her mission, WaypointVets. We also feature musician David Bryant, known by his stage name Sailor. David joined us to discuss how his service has shaped his life, his music, and the path he’s on today. He and his band are currently working on a new project. David shared three powerful original songs and the stories behind them: “Sum of My Fears” – Born from his transition out of metal after losing his mother to cancer; a deeply honest reflection on fear, faith, and admitting when help is needed. “Devil in Me” – A raw look at growing up in a dysfunctional family and navigating the loss of loved ones. “End of My Rope” – An expression of exhaustion with life’s chaos and division; the feeling of being worn out and ready for change. WGY6@6 Recap Guests: Jason McNamara – The No More 9 to 5 Club Last night, we had Jason McNamara join us from The No More 9 to 5 Club. Jason loved our reminder about “Checking Your 6” and is eager to be part of that mission. He offers another great source of support for those who need it. His program runs through WhatsApp, and you can easily join the group by clicking the link. Featured Artist: Phil Beaver and the Phirejets Phil has a full album written and ready to record — they’re currently negotiating the deal and hoping to move forward soon. It’s a protest-themed album (though even Phil jokes he’s not sure what they’re protesting — but everyone’s doing it, so why not?). Big shoutout to Jason — what you’re doing is amazing and tremendous! Song Lineup: “Comet” – A “drive-by lover” story from the woman’s perspective. Erika brings powerhouse vocals with a heavy keyboard sound. Paws compared it to a blend of Meatloaf and Little Shop of Horrors. “Suck It Up” – A darker, country-inspired song from their second album, written during COVID. It reflects the isolation and heaviness of that time. “Walking on the Moon” – A tribute to the great rockers of the ‘70s (with a nod to the ‘60s and ‘80s too). Phil crafted this as a subliminal mix of familiar riffs and inspiration from legends who keep us rocking. Wreaths Across America – Thank you for honoring our heroes laid to rest in the national cemetery. Click here to learn more. WGY6@6 — November 2, 2025 Guests: Paul Faris – President, Support the Troops MNMusic Guest: Chas Evans We have an incredible show this week, packed with heart, humor, and harmony. This week’s guests brought the energy! Paul Faris, President of Support the Troops MN, joined us to share his organization’s mission and the important work they do for veterans and service members. Paul explained how Support the Troops MN steps in to help those in need—right when they need it most. He walked us through how their system operates, emphasizing teamwork and collaboration with other organizations. For example, their vetting process is handled through trusted partners, which allows them to provide immediate emergency support once needs are verified. Paul also discussed their partnership with the Magnus Foundation, which helps sustain their outreach and fundraising efforts. His message was clear: when small nonprofits join forces, the impact multiplies. Chas Evans brought the music magic! A talented guitarist, performer, and teacher, Chas not only trains others to play but also writes original songs from lyrics people send him. During the show, we challenged him to write a jingle for Support the Troops MN—and he delivered a fun live version on the spot! We’re excited to see where that project goes, and there might even be a future connection with Guitars for Vets in Mississippi. “Dear Mom” – Chas Evans(Ask Chas how this one connects with “Letters From Home” and what inspired it.) “Days When It Won’t Rain” – John Hensley “Ferris Wheel” – CJ Garton Wreaths Across America Thank you to everyone helping us honor our heroes laid to rest at the National Cemetery. We Got Your 6@6 with THE PEOPLE'S PATRIOT PROJECT
This week’s episode brings together two incredible guests—Col. (Ret.) B. Wayne Quist and Dr. Steve Lansing—authors and lifelong advocates for veterans’ mental health. Col. Quist takes us back as far as WWII, sharing his personal experiences with trauma and the cultural expectation to simply “man up” or risk being cast aside. His journey led him to earn a Master’s in Psychology, fueling his passion to study PTSD and help others heal. Through a chance meeting, Col. Quist connected with Dr. Lansing, who brings over 52 years of experience in the mental health field. Together, they’ve researched the long history of war trauma—stretching back 2,500 years to the writings of Plato, Socrates, and ancient Sparta—tracing how society has silenced or misunderstood these wounds of the soul. Their shared mission is clear: to provide hope, healing, and ultimately, suicide prevention. The conversation also highlights powerful stories—from veterans facing Agent Orange fallout to those who found school scarier than combat—underscoring the lasting impact of trauma. Looking ahead, Wayne and Steve are preparing for Veterans Day events in Lake City, where Dr. Lansing will also lead a continuing education course for therapists. We also welcome musician Kim Donnette, a Navy veteran’s spouse with a heart for encouragement and healing through music. Kim shares the deeply moving story behind her first song, “Come Home,” inspired by a bandmate’s painful memory revealed for the first time. She also discusses her new song “You Lied,” born from her mother’s wisdom about the promises parents make and the reality of life’s endings. Her songwriting is raw, heartfelt, and a reminder of how music can knit our worlds together in unexpected ways. As always, we close with updates on projects close to our hearts: Wreaths Across America – Honoring our heroes at rest. Oak is passionate about teaching servant leadership, a practice he’s lived by since his high school basketball days. His work spreads through four key areas—talks, his book, social media, and his own podcast. He explains that legacy has two parts: what you leave behind in your career and life, and more importantly, the leaders you raise up along the way. “It really is about community,” Oak reminds us, giving heartfelt credit to his wife, who also served. Our musical guest is Joshua Martin, a talented singer-songwriter whose passion for country and Americana music has taken him across the country. Outdoorsy and hardworking, Joshua is preparing to release his next record. In this episode, we sit down with Chaz Kraynak, founder of FSB Initiative Inc. (Forward Support Base). After serving our country, Chaz suffered injuries that, combined with some tough choices, left him homeless. Out of that hardship came his mission: to honor, help, and serve others facing similar struggles. Today, FSB operates as an all-volunteer nonprofit—working around the clock to deliver real support to those in need. Learn more at fsbinc.org. Our musical guest is Kelly Daniels, a talented artist who chose music over military service the very day he was set to enlist. With deep family roots in military and first responder service, Kelly shares his gift as a way of giving back. He performed three powerful songs for us: “Faded Photographs” (featuring Brooks Herring) — inspired by his grandparents’ resilience and the sacrifices of families who send loved ones off to serve. “Kiss Me Goodbye” — a deeply personal reflection on love, loss, and the pain of silent goodbyes. “Drowning” — an honest look at life’s hardships and the healing power of music over destructive choices.

This week we had the honor of sitting down with Nigel Fischer, a retired Marine who is now dedicating his life to helping fellow veterans find healing. Nigel opened up about the power of music in a person’s life and shared the mission behind Guitars 4 Vets (G4V). Together, they’ve reimagined the way we look at the heartbreaking “22 a Day” statistic. Their new approach, called “135 Alive,” encourages us to flip the focus—each time a veteran or first responder attempts to take his or her life, there are 135 people behind them who are still here and want that person to still be here. Make that call. Nigel has personal experience with the heavy thoughts that come with being at the edge, and his passion shines through as he speaks about transforming that pain into purpose through songwriting and guitars. Keep an eye out for his work with Face the Fight (with Craig Morgan, Sept 10) and exciting collaborations with Taylor Guitars. Of course, we couldn’t help but smile when Petersen had his classic proud papa face moment—especially when connections between Romeo Vaughn and Nigel came full circle during the show. 🎶 Our featured music guest was none other than Romeo Vaughn. If you’ve heard his story before, you know he’s as real as it gets. He’s been to the darkest places and now uses his music to share how he found his way back. Romeo performed three powerful songs for us: Big Dreams, Small Town – With a brand-new video hitting ACN, CMT, and SiriusXM, this one is a must-add to your playlist. Over – A raw look at the inner battle of good vs. bad self… and the victory of choosing light. Cowboy in Boots (feat. DJ Kane) – A fun, uplifting Texas anthem about boots, HEB, and loving your mama. This episode was full of hope, healing, and heart—and we can’t wait to see what’s next for both Nigel and Romeo.

We Got Your 6@6 ~ THE PEOPLE'S PATRIOT PROJECT
This week’s episode is packed with powerful stories and heartfelt music. Our guest Mike Deibler joined us to share about Veteran Command and his creation of DTS Maps — an interactive push-pin map that allows veterans to mark their travels and tell the stories tied to each place. Every pin carries a memory, a moment, and a story that shaped the journey. Mike also talked about “No Shit, There I Was”, a storytelling event hosted at a local brewery where veterans shared raw, eye-opening experiences straight from the heart. Our music spotlight featured Michael Lisenby, a former law enforcement officer and first responder who has turned his passion toward songwriting. His music reflects deep personal experiences, resilience, and the brotherhood of service. Michael performed three powerful songs: “I Got a Bottle” – Written after the tragic ambush that took the lives of fellow officers, this song is a tribute to their memory and a reminder that one day, they’ll share a drink together again in heaven. “Hammer Down” – A song about racing to the side of a brother or sister in crisis, doing whatever it takes to be there when they need you most. “Hold On Brother” – A heavy, emotional piece about fighting through danger to reach and protect your brother in the heat of battle. This episode is a powerful reminder of the bonds of service, the importance of storytelling, and the healing power of music.

We Got Your 6@6 with THE PEOPLE'S PATRIOT PROJECT
Join us as WE come together to see the issues and the needs of today’s HEROES, our veterans and first responders. WE will discuss the solutions and see the organizations that are boots on the ground as WE combat the silent, invisible and deadly enemies our HEROES are facing. WE are a grassroots, nonpartisan, nonprofit acting in the Mission to honor, empower and support those who have served. WE are the shock and awe in combating the silent, invisible and deadly enemies of our daily heroes, the First Responders and Veterans. Our goals come on many levels and forms as WE are raising awareness to those who do not know, WE are providing resources to those in need and WE provide the opportunities to those who are still interested in serving and/or have not had or taken the chance to serve before. WE are the beacon of hope for many to change their world through recalibration and rehabilitation. Our goals are to get our HEROES back into their families and communities. Happy Heroes create happy communities.
