This fortnight, hosts Wheel (they/them) and Endurance (she/her) read Lando Calrissian and the Mindharp of Sharu, the first entry in L. Neil Smith's Lando Calrissian Trilogy. We pretty much enjoyed it a lot! We're going to be with Smith for three episodes total, so keep tuning in to see how much that stays true. Hear Wheel beef with Iron Man 3 and Stephen King, and Endurance beef with the thesaurus. We promise the Dangerous Crow Boy joke was timely when we recorded this. Note: You'll appreciate this episode and book better if you have any history with the Discordian faith.

Welcome back for part 2 of our Return of the Jedi episode; make sure you listened to part 1 first! This one contains all our "segments" – Timeline, Prurient's Implications Corner, Droids Rights Watch, Firsts and EU corner, and a bit more. You'll also hear Pinafore's David Lynch impression, and Prurient's Pinafore impression!

Join hosts Pinafore Tyche (she/her) and Prurient A Scintilla (they/them) as they discuss Return of the Jedi, both the movie and the novelization by James Kahn. It was certainly better than the novelization of Empire Strikes Back! After a brief diversion about another James's Peacemaker, Pinafore and Prurient get down to brass tacks and discuss the Robocop and Men in Black cartoons. Ewoks are great, haters back off!
This is part 1 of 2, because we went very very long. Part 2 will post 4 hours after this.

Back in the warm embrace of Brian Daley, hosts and eggmates Naught Bos (they/them) and Tumoeis Bos (She/Her) discuss Rebel Mission to Ord Mantell, an audio play about that business with the bounty hunter back on Ord Mantell. It's really fun! Problem is, it's pretty short. This is why we discuss Tapirs as mounts, the Fastball Special, K-Pop Bounty Hunters (not like that), the giant rat that makes all da rules, Swamp Thing – Well ok that one's normal. We also touch on Adventures in Odyssey, but that's unfortunately relevant.
The issue of Swamp Thing where Swamp Thing meets Pogo is Issue 32 and the Adam Strange issue Naught also brought up is Issue 57

Another episode of We Have To Talk About Dash Rendar about Comics? You know it! Scumbag Cassiopeia Weasel (she/her) and her henchperson K'lok (they/them) read Star Wars Omnibus A Long Time Ago… Volume 3 and had a pretty good time! Learn about Legally Distinct Barsoom, the psychic rabbits of Arbra, and Luke's first redheaded Imperial-trained girlfriend, who has never been shipped with Tanith Shire. Do you want some cheese?

Join hosts Gabbiani (they/them) and Veruca (she/her) as we discuss the exceedingly lackluster The Newspaper Strips Volume 1. We didn't like this one, but at least it's no Splinter Of The Mind's Eye. Suffer through a discussion of Funky Winkerbean with a lot more ease than we suffered through these absolute nothing comics, and always remember, ARCAB (All Robot Cops Are Bastards). I'd rather be playing Numberwang.

In this episode of We Have To Talk About Dash Rendar, join hosts Chaos-Take-You Windshear (they/them) and Prim Incaendo (she/her) at the Darklighter Estate as they discuss Star Wars Omnibus A Long Time Ago… Vol 2, which collects issues 28-49 and Annual 1 of the original Marvel run of Star Wars. It's significantly better than Volume 1! We mostly enjoyed it. We touch on the Apostle Paul again when discussing a Droid Weeaboo, and determine that this actually came out before The Toxic Avenger. Chaos-Take-You also takes a bold stance on Farscape.

For the latest episode of We Have To Talk About Dash Rendar, your hosts Rosenguild and Sterncrantz read Han Solo and the Lost Legacy, the last Star Wars novel by Brian Daley. Don't let the shortness of the "things we liked" section fool you, we LOVED this book! Actually I'm not sure why this episode is so short, there was a lot to talk about and I think we talked about it? Including the old Fallout games and the works of Charlie Kaufman. It's like Anton Chekhov said: if a funnel cake is purchased in chapter 8, it must be jammed in the blow-hole of a sapient Loch Ness Monster in chapter 9.
Sterncrantz used some new-to-her editing techniques this time around, so we're sorry for the couple of audio oddities! We'll continue smoothing out these edges.

This week join Rogue 4 Miff and Rogue 13 Nak as they discuss The Empire Strikes Back, both the novelization by Donald Glut and the film. The book was…. not great. It wasn't bad, it was no Splinter of the Mind's Eye! But it wasn't good. We discuss Land of the Lost and learn some very personal details about Miff, as well as the fact that neither Miff nor Nak can do a Harrison Ford impression. Also expect speculation on Space Shakespeare's The Taming of the Tauntaun. Join us in 2 weeks when we cover Brian Daley's final Han Solo novel, Han Solo and the Lost Legacy.
Sorry for the long episode despite our claims that it would be a 2-parter; it ended up being just too short to reasonably split!

Your hosts Hobart Floyt and Alacrity Fitzhugh are back with the second of Brian Daley's Han Solo novels, Han Solo's Revenge. Hey it's another pretty good one! This week we discuss clowns, Revolver Ocelot, Pluto (surprise!) and pterosaur anatomy. You'll also learn the difference between Repo Man and Repo Men. Note to astute listeners: We recorded this episode on June 8th, shortly after Deltarune Chapters 3+4 came out, and before Alacrity Fitzhugh had the chance to play them.

In this episode of We Have To Talk About Dash Rendar, hosts Jazx and Bubsee read Star Wars Omnibus: A Long Time Ago… Volume 1 (not to be confused with Star Wars: A Long Time Ago… Volume 1), which collects the first 27 issues of the original Star Wars Marvel Comics (also referred to as Star Wars (1977)). Not a bad collection! We go for Apostle Paul's throat for absolutely no reason (besides the fact that he's the worst) this week. Literally no reason. Jazx doesn't know the bible very well.

This week, your hosts Feevee Bogo and Dibby Cut-Me-Throat read Han Solo At Stars' End by Brian Daley. By the Original Light, this book is really really good! It's got a mild space noir thing going on that's absolutely delightful. Problem is, this episode is not free of references to Chronicles of Riddick.

For this episode of We Have To Talk About Dash Rendar, hosts Itchy and Cysty watched The Star Wars Holiday Special, which aired on CBS on November 17, 1978. In brief, Star Wars fans are weenies and this goofy little thing is really good! We discuss Cats (2019), Rebellion propaganda cartoons, John C Lilly, and the merits of grandpa watching VR smut in the living room.
Join us again in 2 weeks when we'll discuss the excellent Han Solo At Stars' End by Brian Daley.

This week, your hosts Wan and Ker read Splinter of the Mind's Eye by Alan Dean Foster, the first Star Wars Extended Universe novel. This book was really racist! One sentence summary of this episode of We Have To Talk About Dash Rendar: Don't read this book. We promise things get better from here.

Welcome to the first episode of We Have To Talk About Dash Rendar! Join your hosts Myria Dene and Ennis Prydain as we review the novelization of Star Wars: A New Hope (formerly titled From The Adventures Of Luke Skywalker) by Alan Dean Foster. Take our praise for his prose with a grain of salt – you'll find out why in 2 weeks, when we read Splinter Of The Mind's Eye.
