Senator Pizzo was first elected to the Florida Senate in 2018 and represents 20 coastal Broward and Miami-Dade counties. Prior to holding elected office, Pizzo was an Assistant State Attorney for the Miami-Dade State Attorney's office, creating the SAO's Gun Violence Initiative, which focused on cold case shootings and homicides involving juveniles.
