Does the New Year's Eve forecast call for confetti and snow flakes?
Expect a mostly cloudy New Year's Eve with a few morning flurries. By evening, intermittent snow showers or flurries may develop across the region, including Times Square. Accumulation will be minimal, mostly a trace or dusting, but areas north and west of the city, such as northwest New Jersey, the Hudson Valley, Catskills, and Poconos, could see up to 1-2 inches.
