This week on Weekly Bizarre, we unpack a wildly strange case from Belgium that left a courtroom in shock and social media in awe. Prosecutors revealed how a 47-year-old woman subjected her husband to more than a year of horrific abuse after their 2024 marriage. According to court testimony, among other things, the man was confined to a dog kennel, and forced to live in squalor while cleaning up after around 60 chihuahuas. His drastic physical decline was described as going from a healthy adult to “a burned skeleton.”

Off the coast of Scotland is the jagged, storm-shredded island of Eilean Mor, a place where storytellers speak not just of its history, but of the world beneath it — a world of omens, sacred places, and spirits older than memory. In 1900, three of it’s lighthouse keepers vanished without a trace. Their bodies were never found; there were no signs of a struggle—just an empty tower that has puzzled historians for more than a hundred years.. This is the story of the Flannan Isles, a place best left untouched.
