In this emotional and tender episode, Beckie shares about a devastating loss her family went through in 2024. She gets super vulnerable and honest about the emotions she's experienced and what life has looked like walking out relationships and healing with the Lord. There are so many powerful moments in this episode and times where I tangibly felt God's presence with us in the midst of processing grief and tragedy. This is a very intense subject of loss and grief, but just know there is such beauty that comes from being honest with our emotions, the Lord, and with one another. Our prayer is that you would be encouraged and filled with hope through this episode. That you would know you are loved by the creator and He is with us and mourns with us in our pain. If you or someone you know has experienced a tragedy, please share this with them. May the God of comfort and hope fill you with all peace and the joy of His presence. I'm so thankful for Beckie being willing to share with us, so please encourage her and we pray this encourages your heart!
In this episode I sit down with my mom, Joye Cavari, and we talk about what it was like for her pastoring a church (beside my dad) as a woman in ministry, raising amazing godly kids ;), and walking in godly marriage. She and my dad, John Cavari, have been pastors of a non-denominational church: Garner Christian Fellowship in Garner, NC, since 1997. She talks about some of the difficulties in relationship and ministry while raising kids, has some incredible wisdom about walking in a godly marriage, and some of the need for having healthy boundaries in marriage and parenting. Apparently, her and my dad's differences of opinion were majorly around raising kids, and they have very little disagreements now that we're all out of the house ;).
I loved doing this episode with my mom! You should look forward to more episodes with her to come in the future! (In an episode coming soon, we will talk about a specific difficulty in her life from over 30 years ago and how she grew through it and the testimony of what God has done in her life as a result.)
To learn more about their church, you can visit their website: www.garnerchristianfellowship.org. To e-mail her with any further questions, you can contact her at cavarij@gmail.com.
Thanks for listening!
Kalyssa Boswell grew up as a pastor's kid in Idaho and came to YWAM in Colorado Springs in the summer of 2024. She's been on staff serving in the media dept since she joined staff earlier this year! In this episode, Kalyssa talks about growing up as a pastor's kid, church hurt, friendships, and stepping into missions following the call of God on her life! To connect with Kalys, you can email her at boswellk@ywamcos.org. To email us, contact: whatisabiblicalwomanpodcast@gmail.com. Thanks for listening! If you have experienced church hurt, we're so sorry. Just know that you're not alone, and that the church's goal is look more like Jesus every day, bringing the kingdom of Heaven to earth, but we don't always get it right. Don't let a person who has hurt you determine who you think Jesus is, get to know Him for yourself! The church should be a place where people come to find Jesus, forgiveness, healing, and hope. Don't give up on getting plugged into a Christian community, because we need one another.

In this episode I share my testimony and talk about singleness. This is a super vulnerable but powerful time of sharing what God has done in my life walking in singleness with Him and how you can walk in faithfulness with the call of God on your life no matter the season of life you're in. I cry a few times, and in the end I take time to pray over you. Let me tell you, God's presence is all over this one so get ready to encounter the Holy Spirit and let Him come and break anything off your life that you want to get set free from. Love and blessings to you! Please be kind in my vulnerability, it's a scary place to share publicly and yet I know it is time and God will use this in your life! Thank you for taking the time to listen. Galatians 5:1
Sidenote: it was not in my original plan to release this episode yet. And everything else fell through and I knew that this was the time! I'm thankful for the timing of the Lord and the leading of the Holy Spirit!
Welcome to the "What is a Biblical Woman?" Podcast! I'm your host, Charity Cavari, and I'm so excited to be launching this podcast where each week I talk with a different guest about topics related to what it looks like to walk as a woman of God according to the Bible!
Join me for episode 1 as a I sit down with Kathleen Wunderink! She's a wife, mom to 4 kids four years old and under, and a full-time missionary in Cambodia. Kathleen and her husband, Ben, are leaders of a YWAM base in a remote area where they are serving full-time. They run an English center, soccer ministry, and other ministries to reach the Khmer people with the love of Jesus. In this episode Kathleen shares her testimony and answers some questions about what it looks like to serve as a missionary full-time. Her heart and tenderness to the Lord are so beautiful and she's the kind of woman I look up to for what it looks like to have flexibility as a mom of four young kids living in a remote area serving the Lord! If you'd like to get in touch with her to either partner with them financially, come serve with them in Cambodia, or pray for them, her e-mail is: wunderinkkathleen@gmail.com.
If you're interested in missions or ministry and want to hear about some of the joys and challenges, this is the episode for you! Kathleen also spends a good portion of the episode sharing her testimony of coming to Jesus, which is so beautiful. Thank you for taking the time to listen, we pray this is encouraging and life-giving to you!
