After years of binge eating, emotional eating, and extreme dieting, Michelle tried something radical: she stopped restricting.
In this episode, Michelle reflects on her 12-week journey of food freedom and how letting go of food rules, rather than doubling down on discipline, finally stopped the binge urges.
We talk about why restriction fuels binge eating, how “food addiction” beliefs can keep people stuck, and why healing your relationship with food often needs psychological safety, not another plan.
This conversation also explores hormones, self-blame, GLP-1 medications, and how to pursue health (protein, fiber, strength) without triggering old patterns.

If you find yourself comparing your body to others, avoiding photos, judging how you look in outfits, or feeling extra insecure during Christmas and New Year… you’re not alone.
The holiday season amplifies body image struggles and social comparison especially with more social events, more photos, more social media, and more pressure to “look good.”
In Day 9 of 10 Days of Healing, we unpack why body image feels more fragile in December and how childhood memories, family dynamics, social media, and internalised expectations all collide to create self-criticism.
You’ll learn The Comparison Interrupt Technique, a simple evidence-based tool to stop comparison spirals, re-anchor to reality, and shift your focus from how you look to how you live.
This episode is grounding, empowering, and deeply compassionate, perfect for anyone feeling self-conscious at this time of year.

Do you come home from Christmas events and suddenly feel an overwhelming urge to eat — even when you’re not physically hungry?
If you find yourself raiding the pantry after socialising, masking, hosting, or holding it together for hours… you are not alone, and you are not doing anything wrong.
In Day 8 of 10 Days of Healing, we unpack the psychology behind post-event emotional eating a pattern driven not by lack of willpower, but by social exhaustion, sensory overload, emotional suppression, and the crash that happens once you're finally home and safe.
You’ll learn how masking, overstimulation, unmet needs, people-pleasing, and emotional fatigue create rebound urges that your brain misinterprets as hunger.
This episode gives you a deeply supportive strategy The Post-Event Decompression Ritual to soothe your nervous system before food becomes your coping mechanism.

If you find yourself saying yes when you want to say no, attending events out of obligation, absorbing family expectations, or feeling responsible for everyone’s happiness during Christmas… this episode is for you.
In Day 7 of 10 Days of Healing, we explore why women struggle so deeply with boundaries especially during the holiday season and how guilt, conditioning, emotional labour, and a fear of conflict shape your behaviour.
You’ll learn The Guilt-Free Boundary Formula, a simple 4-step framework that helps you set clear, respectful boundaries without over-explaining, defending yourself, or collapsing into guilt.
This episode will help you protect your time, energy, and mental wellbeing so you can experience Christmas without burning out or abandoning your own needs.

If Christmas feels tender, heavy, or quietly painful for you - you are not alone.
While the world celebrates, many people are grieving someone they’ve lost, a relationship that changed, a childhood they never had, or a version of life they hoped for.
Others feel lonely in a room full of people. And many simply feel emotionally stretched thin.
In Day 6 of 10 Days of Healing, this episode gently explores why grief and loneliness intensify during the holidays and how emotional memories, comparison, and disrupted routines contribute to the ache so many women silently carry at this time of year.
You’ll also learn a grounding emotional processing tool - The 3-Minute Wave - to help you move through difficult feelings without becoming overwhelmed, shutting down, or turning to numbing strategies.
This episode is soft, validating, and supportive… a space to breathe.

If you find yourself feeling overstimulated, emotional, or completely drained at Christmas especially in loud environments, crowded shops, family gatherings, or back-to-back social events this episode will feel like a deep exhale.
ADHD brains experience Christmas differently.
The noise, pressure, rushed transitions, disrupted routines, expectations, and sensory overload push the nervous system to its limit. And when you combine overstimulation with emotional masking, festive chaos, and no buffer time, dysregulation comes fast.
In today’s episode of 10 Days of Healing, we unpack why ADHD and Christmas are such a difficult combination and how to support yourself through it with practical, compassionate strategies.
You’ll learn the Sensory Exit Plan, a simple regulation technique that helps you stay grounded, prevent shutdowns, and give your nervous system the breaks it desperately needs during holiday events.

You’re carrying the mental load of Christmas, and it’s one of the biggest invisible pressures women face this time of year.

Breakups are one of the most psychologically stressful life events we can experience.
Neuroimaging studies show that when we go through heartbreak, the same pain centers in the brain that respond to physical pain are activated, particularly the anterior cingulate cortex.
That’s why it doesn’t just feel emotional, it literally hurts.
Now, for someone with Borderline Personality Disorder that pain can feel magnified.
BPD is characterized by emotional intensity, fear of abandonment, unstable relationships, and a fragile sense of self. When someone with BPD goes through a breakup, it’s not just the loss of a partner, it can feel like the loss of identity, safety, and purpose.

Did you know that in Australia, athletes are at a higher risk of developing disordered eating? In fact, research shows that depending on the sport and level of competition, anywhere from 0 to 19% of male athletes, and 6 to 45% of female athletes, may experience disordered eating or an eating disorder. These numbers are not small—and they remind us that behind the strength, discipline, and performance we admire, many athletes are silently struggling.
