Episode 23: Fresh Water Supplies Pt. 2 and Anne Boleyn

The WPMP Promise: no commitment to timely results, ever! After discussing KT's exciting new hobby (and Christmas gift business) and Maddie's new gaming habits, KT tells us about the consumption of fresh water in our world today (spoiler: bit of a bummer for fresh water enthusiasts) and then Maddie tells us the story of Anne Boleyn, the second Tudor Queen, and how it all boils down to Henry VIII causing all the problems!

Where Past Meets Planet
Episode 21: Ranking Spooky Species & Mummy Medicine

It's the last episode of spooky month and some of us are drinking about it! (others of us are drinking sport tea because it's 8:13am). After finding out that the Louvre Heist getaway vehicles were not actually Lime Scooters, KT gives us a list of 13 spooky species and makes Maddie rank them, even though some of them give her involuntary physical reactions! Then Maddie walks us through a possibly even more gross topic of corpse medicine and Europeans' obsession with eating mummies for science.

Episode 20: Sinkholes & Resurrectionists

Well, well, well, if it isn't Spooky (Lake) Month again and we all survived the Great Sucking Off! KT and Maddie are back at it again with eerie Earth Science stories and haunting histories! This week, KT tells us (and a somewhat unwilling Maddie) about sinkholes and how you basically can't predict when they'll happen! COOL not scary at all! Then Maddie tells us the story of the Resurrectionists of the 1800s and the most infamous story to come out of this era of body snatching, the tale of William Burke and William Hare.

Shared Braincell Episode 2: Mount Vesuvius vs. Herculaneum

We loved sharing our braincell so much we decided to do it again! It’s always “Pompeii this” and “Pompeii that”… but have you heard about Herculaneum? In this episode we learn about Mount Vesuvius and the 79AD eruption that covered the city of Herculaneum in thick layers of mud and ash and carbonized everything in its path, preserving the city in even more detail than PoMpEii. #JusticeForHerculaneum
