This is Bill Kelley. Please join me as we hear the word's of Solomon - who many people consider the wisest man who ever lived. We will go over the proverb of the day every day and I will pick a verse (or several) and expound on them. I am believing that, by hearing the wisdom of Solomon, we will become wiser and our lives will begin to improve - as we follow what the word tells us to do.

932. Romans, Chapter 1 (#3) - They did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful - December 19, 2025

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 19. I will then key in on verse 16 - He who keeps the commandment keeps his soul, But he who is careless of his ways will die. Friends, we will find out in today's lesson that the Romans of the mid 1st century were not keeping the commandments of God. They had turned to idolatry and were totally rejecting God - but were acting according to their flesh, and not being led by the Spirit of God. On today's podcast we will be continuing our study of the Book of Romans. Today we will be completing Chapter 1. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. They did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful.

2. God has given us an opportunity to see how evil sin is and how desperately wicked people can become.

3. The sins the Romans were engaged with revealed their rebellious hearts.

Call to Action - I would like for you to think about the list of sins that were mentioned in verses 29-31 of Romans, Chapter 1. Ask yourself if you are involved in any of these activities? If you are, I suggest you repent, and ask God for forgiveness.
