Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 18. Judy will then be the host today and Bill will be in the guest's chair.
Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 17. I will then key in on verse 17 - A friend loves at all times, And a brother is born for adversity. Friends, it is very difficult to find good friends - someone who will stick with you in bad times, as well as good times. A good Christian brother (someone you can count on when you need real help, are even harder to find). On today's podcast I will begin a short one week study on the short book of Titus. It is written by the apostle Paul and is found near the end of the New Testament. Paul had begun several churches on the island of Crete to the Southeast of Greece and has given the responsibility of the overseeing of these churches to the young man Titus. Titus had been with Paul on two of his missionary journeys and Paul trusted him. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:
1. Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
2. To have an effective church, you have to have quality leadership.
3. The truth of the Bible must be preached at all times.
Scriptures referenced on today's podcast:
Proverb 17:17; Titus Chapter 1
Call to Action - Ask yourself this simple question - do you have a strong Christian brother that you can rely on in time of need? (if you don't I encourage you to pray to God and ask Him to being someone into your life that can fill that role).

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 14. I will then key in on verse 22 - Do they not go astray who devise evil? But mercy and truth belong to those who devise good. Friends, this verse talks about the constant faithfulness or true loyalty indicative of many Christians. Those who have yet to receive Jesus know nothing of this characteristic. On today's podcast I will go over two parables that are found only in the Gospel, according to Luke. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:
1. People are not always who they present themselves to be.
2. We should be a good neighbor to all we come in contact with.
3. We were dead, and now are alive; we were lost and are now found.

Today we will be look at the Ascension (Chapter 24, verses 50-53), and the transition that Luke makes from the last chapter of Luke to the first chapter of the Book of Acts (which he was also the author of). By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:
1. Jesus was received up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 12. I will then key in on verse 26 - The righteous should choose his friends carefully, For the way of the wicked leads them astray. Friends, choosing your friends is a very important decision that each of us have to make. Once you become a Christian, it is even more important (some of your friends may no longer be appropriate for you to hang out with). On today's lesson we will continue our study of the Gospel, according to Luke. Today we will be in Chapter 24 & go over a passage of scripture entitled The Scriptures opened (found in verses 44-49). By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:
1. These are the words I spoke to you will I was still with you.
