This is Bill Kelley. Please join me as we hear the word's of Solomon - who many people consider the wisest man who ever lived. We will go over the proverb of the day every day and I will pick a verse (or several) and expound on them. I am believing that, by hearing the wisdom of Solomon, we will become wiser and our lives will begin to improve - as we follow what the word tells us to do.

938. Romans Chapter 2 - For Passing judgement on another you condemn yourself - January 5, 2026

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 2. I will then key in on verses 1 & 2 - My son, be attentive to my wisdom; incline your ear to my understanding, that you may keep discretion, and your lips may guard knowledge. Friends, these two verses speak of the importance of having wisdom. They also talk about the importance of thinking (in advance) the words that will come out of your mouth. On today's podcast I will continue my study of the Book of Romans. Today we will be going over the first five verses of Chapter 2. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. Fopr passing judgement on another you condemn yourself.

2. God's blessings should have led them to repent of their sins

3. A soft and repentant heart is needed to avert God's wrath on the day of wrath.

Scriptures referenced on today's podcast:

Proverb 2:1-2; Romans 2:1-5; Matthew 7: 1-2; John 8:7; 2 Samuel 12:1-7

Call to Action -Ask yourself (if you are married) - are you avoiding any sexual activity with anyone other than your spouse?

Also - please consider reading Psalm 51 - King David's psalm of repentance.
