In this MythConception Monday episode of Worldview Legacy Today, Joel refutes three major cultural myths distorting the truth about God, Scripture, and marriage:
1️⃣ A loving God could never be wrathful.
2️⃣ The New Testament authors were too biased to trust.
3️⃣ Christians can affirm same-sex relationships without compromising their faith.
Through Romans 1, 1 John 1, and Ephesians 5, Joel shows how the Bible dismantles these misconceptions with clarity, logic, and grace—and how believers can defend truth in love.

Today’s question: Whose morality will AI reflect? Are we building machines that reflect God’s truth—or man’s rebellion? AI isn’t neutral. Every line of code carries a worldview.
Opening Scripture & Frame
Proverbs 21 shows us that God weighs the heart. Technology is not morally neutral—it reflects the values of its creators. The question is: whose standard are we using?
Main Ideas
AI mirrors its makers. Sam Altman and OpenAI may claim neutrality, but the moral framework behind AI comes from fallen humans who reject God’s authority. There’s no such thing as value-neutral technology.
Greg Bahnsen’s illustration of the “apple sorting machine” nails it—if you don’t already know what a good apple is, you can’t build a machine to sort them. Likewise, if you reject the Triune God as the standard of truth, your AI “sorting” will be arbitrary or corrupt.
Romans 2 says that the law is written on every heart. That means every coder, CEO, and tech giant has a conscience—they just suppress it. So we can’t outsource morality to machines. We must measure every idea against Scripture.
Application for Men
Brothers, as Christian men, you are the moral leaders in your homes, churches, and communities. You are responsible to discern truth from deception in the digital age. The world wants your sons to trust AI more than Scripture. You must teach them to test everything by God’s Word.
Action Step #1 – Spiritual Formation

Closing Challenge
Technology won’t save civilization—truth will. And truth belongs to Jesus Christ. Equip yourself. Guard your family. Lead with conviction. We’re not building machines—we’re building men who will stand.
Because the future doesn’t belong to the algorithm. It belongs to the men who know the Word and live by it.
What you believe about where we come from changes everything.
In this episode of Worldview Wednesday, Joel Settecase walks through the four dominant views on origins—Naturalistic Evolution, Theistic Evolution, Old Earth Creationism, and Young Earth Creationism—explaining how each view shapes theology, science, and your everyday worldview. Grounded in Scripture and sharpened by apologetics, this episode cuts through confusion and helps you think clearly and biblically about where we came from, who we are, and why it matters.
This episode is drawn from Unit 1 of The Think Institute’s 12-week Origins curriculum.
Topics Covered:
Why your view of origins shapes your entire theology
The key biblical arguments for Young Earth Creationism
Where the other views fall short—scientifically and scripturally
The best evidence from Genesis, Jesus, and Paul

Closing Thought:
The question of origins is spiritual, not merely scientific. You were created by God, through Christ, and for His glory. When you know your origin, you can live out your purpose.
Joel Settecase tackles one of the most common—and misunderstood—claims about Christianity: “The Bible says you shouldn’t judge.” In this episode of Worldview Legacy, Joel breaks down what Jesus actually meant in Matthew 7:1 and shows that far from forbidding judgment altogether, Scripture teaches us how to judge righteously, humbly, and biblically.
You’ll learn how to apply God’s Word to moral evaluation without hypocrisy, how to distinguish between judgment and condemnation, and how to handle false teaching, sin in the church, and moral issues in a culture that hates discernment. Joel walks through both what kinds of judgment are prohibited and what kinds are required, giving Christian men the tools to think clearly, lead faithfully, and defend the truth with grace and courage.
If you’ve ever been told “judge not,” this episode will equip you to respond with clarity, conviction, and a deeper understanding of God’s justice and mercy.

Proving the Resurrection: When Evidence Meets Axiomatic Faith
Joel Settecase takes us deep into one of the most foundational truths of Christianity—the resurrection of Jesus Christ—and shows why our defense of that truth must start with Scripture, not autonomous reason or mere probability. In this powerful episode, Joel revisits a blog post he wrote over a decade ago, analyzing his own youthful apologetic mistakes and revealing how a presuppositional approach transforms our understanding of evidence, logic, and faith.
Joel walks through how to engage skeptics biblically, dismantle atheistic assumptions, and build an apologetic that honors Christ as Lord in your heart and argument. Learn how to show that the resurrection is not just probable—it’s necessary, because the Bible says it and the Bible is the foundation for all knowledge.
This episode is both a theological deep dive and a practical apologetics masterclass for Christian men who want to stand firm in truth, lead with courage, and disciple their families to do the same.

Six years ago, Joel Settecase published a provocative article titled “30 Questions to Ask Atheists, Agnostics & Skeptics.” Now, for the first time, someone has answered them—publicly. In this episode of The Think Institute Thursday, Joel reads and responds to a detailed blog post by atheist writer Dalbert from Daily Kos, who attempted to take on all 30 questions point-by-point.
Using a presuppositional apologetics approach, Joel doesn’t just refute Dalbert’s responses—he exposes the underlying assumptions and demonstrates how only the Christian worldview can account for reason, truth, and morality. This episode is a masterclass in how to lovingly and logically engage with unbelief.
What you’ll learn:
How atheists answer worldview challenges—and where their logic breaks down
Why morality, logic, and truth can’t exist without God
The key difference between presuppositional and evidential apologetics
How to use questions to lead unbelievers toward gospel truth

The Controversial Books Missing from the Bible
Worldview Legacy Episode #144
Did early church leaders hide essential books from the Bible? Are we missing out on “lost gospels” or ancient wisdom that could shake the foundation of our faith? In today’s episode, Joel Settecase tackles one of the most persistent myths that undermines biblical authority—and he does it with razor-sharp clarity and biblical depth.
Joel walks through the true history of the Old and New Testament canon, explains why books like 1 and 2 Maccabees didn’t make the cut, and exposes the real motivation behind the Council of Trent’s decision to include the Apocrypha. Along the way, you’ll see how Jesus himself affirmed the Old Testament canon—and why the Protestant Bible is exactly what God intended His people to have.
In this episode, you’ll learn:
Why the idea of “missing books” is more fake conspiracy theory than fact
The biblical and historical evidence for a closed Old Testament canon
How Jesus affirmed the exact books Protestants recognize today
Why the Apocrypha was added by the Roman Catholic Church in the 1500s
What Luke 24 and “Abel to Zechariah” reveal about Jesus' view of Scripture
The three rigorous criteria for New Testament inclusion
Why books like the Gospel of Thomas were rejected—rightfully
Why the canon wasn’t imposed from the top down, but recognized bottom-up by the Church
The critical difference between inspiration and historical value
Key Takeaways:
The Old Testament canon Jesus affirmed includes the Law, Prophets, and Writings—not the Apocrypha
The Council of Trent added books as part of a theological reaction to the Reformation, not on the basis of historical canon
New Testament books had to be apostolic, authentic, consistent, and widely recognized
Heretical books often failed the theology test—they contradicted already-accepted Scripture
The idea that Emperor Constantine chose the canon is historically false and misleading
The canonization process was guided by truth, not conspiracy

In this jam-packed episode of Worldview Legacy, Joel Settecase explores the deep questions that define who we are and how we live. What does it mean to be made in the image of God? Why are young men in Gen Z facing a crisis of identity? And how do ancient flood myths from around the world support the Bible's historical truth?
Joel begins with a moment of humble self-reflection, sharing why he took down a previous episode that didn’t meet the Think Institute’s high standards. Then he walks through the biblical case for why animals are not made in the image of God—and what makes human beings utterly unique in creation.
You'll also hear Joel break down sobering new research on the identity crisis among Gen Z men, and how scripture engagement dramatically boosts confidence and purpose. Finally, he uncovers fascinating global flood legends—Aztec, Hindu, Chinese, and Babylonian—that actually confirm the biblical account rather than undermine it.
In this episode, you’ll learn:
Why the Think Institute removed an episode about Pokémon and Israel
What it really means to be made in the image of God
Why animals, though amazing, do not bear God’s image
Francis Schaeffer’s powerful framework for understanding man vs. beast
What’s driving the Gen Z male identity crisis—and how to fix it
How knowing scripture transforms your view of yourself
Why dozens of cultures around the world have similar flood stories
How the Tower of Babel explains the spread of “myth”
Why the biblical flood account is superior to all others
What Jesus and the apostles said about Noah’s flood—and why it matters
Takeaways:
You are not a beast. You are made in God’s image.
The Bible gives the clearest, truest picture of who you are.
Identity isn’t found in feelings—it's found in following Jesus Christ.
The truth of scripture is not just spiritual—it’s historical and global.

Today on Worldview Legacy, Joel Settecase delivers a wake-up call for Christians navigating the cultural chaos of secular education, false religions, and faulty reasoning. Through the lens of Proverbs 9 and the solid foundation of God’s Word, Joel explores what happens when we build our lives—and our worldviews—on anything other than Jesus Christ.
Joel breaks down three key areas: the failure of public education to remain neutral, the internal contradictions of Mormonism, and how even logic itself demands a triune God. This episode equips listeners with biblical clarity and apologetic confidence to stand firm in the truth.
In this episode, you’ll learn:
Why your intellectual "house" needs a rock-solid foundation
How public schools already promote a religious worldview (and it’s not Christian)
What “separation of church and state” really meant to the Founders
Why neutrality in education is a myth—and what replaces it
How to engage Mormons using a 3-step Presuppositional approach
Why the three laws of logic point directly to the triune God of Scripture
That all truth, wisdom, and knowledge are hidden in Jesus Christ
Key Takeaways:
There is no such thing as worldview neutrality—education is always discipleship
Secular humanism functions as the dominant religion in public education today
Jesus must be the foundation of all true learning, not an optional addition
Mormonism collapses under the weight of its own theological contradictions
Logic reflects the mind and nature of the triune God
Remove Jesus, and you lose the ability to even account for truth

In this episode, you’ll learn:

Does the Bible REALLY Teach Young Earth Creation and a Global Flood?
In this compelling episode of Worldview Legacy, Joel Settecase tackles one of the most hotly debated theological and scientific questions of our time: Does the Bible actually teach a young Earth and a global flood?
Kicking off with a current event from Arkansas, Joel shares a powerful victory for religious freedom, where a Christian student stood up for his right to share the gospel and won. This story sets the tone for the rest of the episode—courage, clarity, and conviction in the face of cultural pushback.
Then Joel dives into the heart of the discussion: the biblical case for a young Earth and a literal, global flood. He unpacks the genealogies in Genesis 5 and 11, explains why the biblical record is more trustworthy than ancient pagan texts like the Sumerian Kings List, and walks through multiple Old and New Testament passages that support a global deluge and early creation of mankind.
He addresses key objections and counters the idea that the biblical authors borrowed from pagan mythology. Instead, Joel makes a strong case that Scripture gives us an authoritative, historical record of God’s creative and redemptive work—starting from the very beginning.
Finally, Joel highlights how the biblical worldview gives us not just a true history, but a foundation for confidence, boldness, and mission today.

We begin with a bold vision for the Hammer & Anvil Society—a discipleship brotherhood equipping Christian men to sharpen their minds, deepen their theology, and step up as spiritual leaders. Joel then walks through Proverbs 1, calling men to pursue wisdom rooted in the fear of the Lord.
From there, we zoom out to the global persecution of Christians, especially in Nigeria, where 1,200 churches are destroyed annually. Joel brings both scripture and clarity to the topic of persecution, and explains why Christians must not only pray for the persecuted—but also for the persecutors.
You’ll also hear Joel's real-world evangelism story from the sauna at his gym, as he shares a powerful encounter that included a challenge to Christian hypocrisy and a rebuttal of the myth that Christianity has caused the most deaths in history.
Finally, we tackle the metaphysical foundations of the Christian worldview—unity and diversity in the Trinity—and why only biblical Christianity can solve the “problem of the one and the many.”

👊 Let’s raise up a generation of men who think deeply, speak clearly, and lead boldly.
Until next time, I hope it made you think.
In this bold new episode of Worldview Legacy Today, Joel Settecase launches a powerful live format that takes on urgent cultural trends through the lens of biblical truth—and kicks it off by tackling one of the most pressing issues facing the church today: the crisis of men's discipleship.
📉 Did you know that 2.7 million people are leaving the church each year in the U.S., and that America is now the fourth-largest unchurched nation on Earth?
Joel breaks down the stats, exposes the root problem, and explains how the Think Institute is working to reverse the decline—one man, one household, and one local church at a time.
You’ll hear:
Why young people aren’t leaving the church because of arguments—but because they’ve never owned their faith
How father-led households are the most statistically powerful factor in long-term church engagement
What the “Charlie Kirk Effect” tells us about leadership in the family, church, and public square
Why Gen Z men are unexpectedly becoming one of the most receptive demographics to Christianity
How YOU can be part of the movement to raise up bold, equipped, worldview-rooted men for the next generation
🔨 Men are the linchpin—and when we reach fathers, we reach families, churches, and ultimately, entire communities.

Welcome to Worldview Legacy, the show that equips Christian men to lead their families with biblical clarity and confidence.
In this full, uncut debate, Christian apologist Joel Settecase faces off against atheist debater Tom Jump to tackle one of life’s most critical questions:
Does the triune God of the Bible exist?
Joel presents a presuppositional case for God’s existence, arguing that the preconditions of intelligibility — logic, science, morality, and knowledge itself — are impossible without the God of Scripture. Tom counters with naturalism, hypothetical alternatives, and challenges to presuppositional epistemology.
This is a high-level, intense debate that dives deep into philosophy, worldview, and the foundations of reason itself.
🔹 What You’ll Learn
How the presuppositional argument defends the existence of God
The six preconditions of intelligibility and why they only make sense within the Christian worldview
How Joel responds to naturalistic explanations and hypothetical “pocket universes”
Why atheism fails to account for logic, science, and morality without borrowing from the biblical worldview
Why Joel argues that denying God results in philosophical absurdity
If you want to defend your faith with confidence and lead your family well, this episode is for you.
