Elle & Christina are back this week to talk about the highly anticipated new K-drama Surely Tomorrow! (We asked Maddie if she would like to join....she said, hard pass😂. We love you, Mads!)

The series stars Park Seo-Joon (Itaewon Class, What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim?) and Won Ji-An (Squid Game 2 & 3, If You Wish Upon Me).

The story jumps between the present and the past. Lee Kyeong-Do (Park Seo-Joon) is a reporter working on a scandal involving his ex-girlfriend’s husband. Because of this case, he reunites with Seo Ji-Woo (Won Ji-An).

They first met at twenty in a theater club and fell in love. They dated again at twenty-eight but eventually broke up. Now, the scandal brings them back together — and we’ll finally learn what happened between them.

Surely Tomorrow is a 12-episode series streaming on Amazon Prime. New episodes drop Saturdays and Sundays.

Christina & Elle are back for the final review of this year’s Would You Marry Me? 

It stars Jung Seo-min (Because This Is My First Life, Love Next Door) and Choi Woo-shik (Our Beloved Summer, Parasite). Jung Seo-min ends a bad relationship and needs to act quickly to secure a new house in a private community—and ironically finds a man with the exact same name as her ex. Oh my!

The ladies go through all the major storylines and debrief on the final two episodes of the show. While there were some cute parts in the drama, it felt a little flat and missed the mark in some areas.

Surprise! Christina & Elle watched the first two episodes of Dynamite Kiss and HAD to do an impromptu Through Two because this drama has to be talked about!

Dynamite Kiss is giving a classic romantic-comedy feel, and the Pod Sisters couldn’t be more excited.

Dynamite Kiss stars the lovely Ahn Eun-jin (My Dearest, The Good Bad Mother, Hospital Playlist) and the dashing Jang Ki-yong (The Atypical Family, My Roommate Is a Gumiho). Eun-jin plays Da-rim, a woman who is struggling to find a job after countless years of interviewing, and Ki-yong plays Ji-hyeok, the leader of a baby products company.

The chemistry is CHEMISTRY-ING. The sparks are flying. Da-rim is so sweet and kind, and Ji-hyeok is determined and super swoony. What more could you want?!

Dynamite Kiss is a Netflix drama, and new episodes come out every Wednesday and Thursday.

The final review of The Tale of Lady Ok is officially here! Is this Maddie’s drama of the YEAR?!

Wow, this show. The ladies can’t stop thinking about this drama and how it gripped them for all sixteen episodes.

In this final review, Maddie and Christina debrief episodes nine through sixteen. They gush about the characters and thought Lim Ji-yeon and Choo Young-woo were phenomenal. Why wasn’t this show talked about more?! This Joseon K-drama deserves all the recognition because it was everything and more. 🤍

The Manipulated is a new 12-episode kdrama about a normal (hot) guy who gets framed for a gruesome murder and seeks revenge on the man who framed him. These first two episodes had us on the edge of our seats and, although this drama is aiming for a lot, we think they’re going to deliver!

WOW, WHAT A SHOW. The ladies cannot get enough of everything that’s happening. They LOVE the female lead and can’t wait for the storyteller to come back into the picture. Everyone and their mothers KNOW that the storyteller will HAVE to “pretend” to be her husband. RIGHT, RIGHT??????????

They can’t even describe it, and they don’t want to spoil the plot - just take their word for it. Don’t google the synopsis, don’t even listen to the entirety of this Through Two - JUST GO WATCH THE FIRST TWO EPS FOR YOURSELF.

A lot can be said about this drama. It held its own on the U.S. Netflix Top 10. It consisted of MANY different genres. It had a (conveniently wrapped up) happy ending. But, at the end of the day, all that we need to say is: Lee Chae-min is hot.
