New Year, Wise Living (Ephesians 5:15–17)

This week, Rev Dr William Chang urged us to start the year wisely by walking with precision, making the best use of time, and knowing the Lord’s will. Do not mistake activity for progress or drift without a spiritual compass. The days are evil, and an unexamined life grows weeds. Will you pause to reflect, align your steps in prayer, and invest your time to serve God’s kingdom?

God In Exile, God At Our Side (Matthew 2:13–23)
This week, after Christmas, Preacher Allan Ng said exile can feel like a suitcase by the door—living on edge, shaped by fear. Yet in Christ, God comes down into our exile and stands at our side. His verdict frees us—redeemed by His precious blood from sin, death, and the devil—so we belong to Him. Will you be found in Christ and praise Him with a freed heart?

The Journey of the Heart (Matthew 2:1–12)
This week, on Christmas Day, Rev Dr William Chang showed how the Magi’s journey reveals Jesus as Saviour for Jews and Gentiles. Led by God, they followed the star, brought heart-gifts that confessed Christ as King, God, and Sacrificial Lamb, and went home changed. The star still shines—will you seek Jesus, offer Him your heart, and walk a new way of grace?

A Candle In The Dark: Christmas That Deals With Reality (Luke 2:1–20)
This week, on Christmas Eve, Preacher Allan Ng proclaimed from Luke 2:1–20 that Christmas is not a myth but God’s real light in a dark world. Born in history, Jesus enters our mess to rescue sinners. By faith alone we receive His gifts—forgiveness, life, salvation. Will you take His light, ponder His Word, and share it in the darkness?

The Calling of Joseph (Matthew 1:18–25)
This week, Brother Lim Geok Seng highlighted Joseph as a vital piece in God’s salvation plan. Facing a painful predicament, Joseph learned that Mary’s child fulfilled the Son of David promise and God’s perfect plan. In Advent, his story calls us to righteous, respectful obedience—trusting God even when His ways are costly. Will you trust and obey God as Joseph did?

Rekindle the Joy in Our Hearts (Matthew 11:2–11)
This week, Bishop Anthony Loh urged us in Advent to rejoice—God has come, and He will come again. When faith is shaken, rekindle joy by focusing on what God is doing, leaning toward Jesus not away, and trusting His ways above ours. Will you check your heart today and let the joy of the Lord burn again in you?

The Power of Hope (Romans 15:4–7, 12–13)
This week, Rev Dr William Chang reminded us in Advent that our God is the God of hope, who fills us with joy and peace as we trust in Christ. Through Scripture, the Spirit sustains our confidence in His promises and calls us into harmony and reconciliation. Will you abound in hope—welcoming others as Christ welcomed you, amid suffering?

Teach Us To Pray (Matthew 6:9-13)

This week, we learned that Jesus teaches us to pray by drawing us back to God as our loving Father. Prayer is not about formulas but trusting His promises and seeking His will. We come with honesty, repentance, and dependence, knowing the Spirit helps us in our weakness. In trials and temptations, God invites us to ask, seek, and knock, confident that He hears. Stand firm in His Word and grow in faithful, daily communion with Him.

The Paradox of Christ The King (Luke 23:33–43)
This week, Rev Dr William Chang marked the last Sunday before Advent, pointing us to the hope of eternal life as citizens of His kingdom. Christ’s kingship is paradox: His throne is His cross; His power is His forgiveness and presence. Will you reflect and check your spiritual ‘GPS’, repent wrong turns, and spend unhurried, quality time in Word and prayer—following Him?

The Time Will Come (Luke 21:5–19)
This week, Rev Lim Kim Hock taught that the God of the living calls us to endure. Do not obsess over earthly things; do not be deceived by false teachers; do not fear—the Spirit will guide us. Buried with Christ in baptism, we will be raised to eternal life. Stand firm, hold fast to Scripture, put on the full armour of God, and give yourself to the Lord’s work today.

The God Of The Living (Luke 20:27–28)
This week, Preacher Allan Ng proclaimed that God is not the God of the dead but of the living. Jesus silenced the Sadducees and spoke to our heart’s trouble, where sin creates distance and despair. In the risen Christ, the grave is not the last word. Will you lean into resurrection hope and live today as one alive to Him?

Strong Identity & Maintenance of Restoration (Nehemiah 13:1–31)
This week, Rev Dr William Chang taught that restoration isn’t one-off; it demands vigilance, discipline, and a strong identity in Christ. Returning to Jerusalem, Nehemiah exposed backsliding—Sabbath neglect, mixed marriages, and forsaken Levites. The Lord’s Prayer (Matthew 6:9–13) maps our identity: children of the Father, set apart, Kingdom-first, obedient, dependent, grace-shaped, and guarded. Will you realign your identity in prayerful obedience today?

A Call to Covenant Renewal (Nehemiah 9:1–38)
This week, Preacher Allan Ng taught that rebuilding physical walls is half the battle; God rebuilds spiritual walls by His Word. In Nehemiah 9 people fasted in corporate confession—remembering God’s faithfulness, admitting failures, and renewing covenant obedience. True repentance looks back at His mercy and forward in obedience. What covenants—or areas of life—is God calling you to renew with Him?

The Walls are Up... Now What? (Nehemiah 8:1–18)
This week, Rev Dr William Chang showed how Nehemiah 8 spotlights the Law’s relevance as the people asked for the Book, reverence for the Law and its Giver as they stood and worshipped, and response to the Law in repentance, joy, and obedience. Our inner wall — our relationship with the Lord — must be rebuilt with the Word of God. How does God’s Word function in your life — will you hear it, trust and obey it, and know Him more deeply today?

Finishing Strong, Remembering Why (Nehemiah 6:1–16)
This week, Preacher Allan Ng taught that amid opposition and exhaustion we stay focused on God’s call. When distraction, slander, intimidation came, Nehemiah prayed and stood firm: “I am doing a great work, and I cannot come down.” The wall was finished in 52 days. Will we resist distraction, remember why we build, and persevere to finish for God’s glory?

Fixing the Heart to Fix the Wall (Nehemiah 5:1–19)

This week, Rev Dr William Chang reminded us that the heart is deceitful (Jeremiah 17:9) and can bring destruction from within, often more than any external threat. Even after returning from exile, the Jews once again oppressed the weak and needy among them. Nehemiah confronted this injustice with righteous anger and godly fear. Yet despite their confessions, Nehemiah 13 reveals that many hearts remained unchanged. What about us today? God calls us to repent, confess our sins, and fix our hearts first—to rebuild the broken walls in our lives.

Working with a Trowel and a Sword (Nehemiah 4:1–23)
This week, Preacher Allan Ng taught that opposition and discouragement are inevitable, but God calls us to persevere with faith and vigilance. Facing ridicule from Sanballat and Tobiah and discouragement within, Nehemiah chose to pray, set a guard, and remember the Lord. Let us lift our voices to Him, stay vigilant in His Word and prayer, persevere by remembering the Lord, and fight with trowel and sword in spiritual warfare and steadfastness.

How Then Shall We Build? (Nehemiah 3:1–32)
This week, Rev Dr William Chang reminded us that rebuilding begins with the first things first. God must be in His rightful place. The Christian submits to God with the right heart attitude—humility and obedience. The resources for rebuilding are found within God’s community. Are we aligning with these principles as we rebuild the broken walls of our church and lives?

Praying, Planning, and Proceeding (Nehemiah 2:1–20)
This week, Preacher Allan Ng showed us that faith-filled prayer must lead to Spirit-led planning and courageous action. Nehemiah prayed continually, made detailed plans, and trusted God’s favour for success. What broken walls in our lives is God calling us to rebuild, and how can we pray continually, plan strategically, and proceed courageously in faith?

The Burden of a Broken Wall (Nehemiah 1:1–11)
This week, Brother Lim Geok Seng challenged us with Nehemiah’s burden for the broken walls of Jerusalem, a symbol of God’s people’s disgrace and spiritual weakness. Nehemiah wept, confessed sin, and prayed passionately, identifying with his people. What “broken walls” do we see around us—and will we let the burden move us from passive onlookers to compassionate concern, fuelled by prayers and action in God’s strength?
