When it comes to stewarding our talents, if we waited until we were feeling 100% to act, we probably wouldn’t act that much. And the Bible doesn’t have examples of perfect apostles, right?
Peter and Paul were out there preaching the gospel probably with sore feet and dry skin because they lived for more than their comfort.
So in this week's episode, let's talk about:
💗 Finishing our 2025 ‘God said’ lists
💗 Answering the “Where do you see this going?” question
💗 Getting in position for 2026
Lord, we know as we obey you, you’re preparing us for 2026 and beyond. We’re excited — and we love you.

As I sat down to prepare this episode, I asked God if I should skip this week. Ahead of the last few episodes, I felt lessons and experiments pour out! But this was one of those “I feel like I’m still going through it, not sure I have anything to say” kind of weeks. Then I felt him say to write from the heart… so here is an untraditional yet Advent-y episode about surrendering, obeying, and hoping in Jesus. Preparing for Jesus’s birthday is ultimately about giving him the glory due his name, amen? And sometimes, we need to go back to basics.

A few years ago, God highlighted to me that I wasn’t thinking about supporting community members in need as much as I should, especially since he clearly calls us to love our neighbour. Proverbs 28:27 says, “Whoever gives to the poor will lack nothing, but those who close their eyes to poverty will be cursed.” Whoa! This language might be strong but isn’t meant to shame us. Rather when God highlights his will to us, we have an opportunity to respond, amen?
In this episode, we’ll look at what God says about supporting people experiencing poverty; the impact of financial, gift-in-kind, and gently used donations; and how churches can help. I’ll also share a few stories from my work in the urban non-profit space this year along with a powerful new Fred Victor campaign that asks an important question during this gift-giving season:
“What do you get the person who has nothing?”

While others may not know our every thought like God does, our countenance can still give away how we’re doing. Have you noticed how our emotional and spiritual state shows up in our facial expressions and overall demeanor? So during busy seasons where we’ll be seeing lots of people, we might want to put on our best self but if we’re faking it, cracks will show.
Let’s talk about a better way — how time with God is the best preparation (beautification!) process and how it will give us the strength, courage, and peace to testify and shine God’s light in busy seasons and beyond.

When we’re going through a loss, it takes time for our emotions to settle. Some days, we want to relive memories. Other days, we want to forget them. But what does God say is best? In this week’s experiment with God, we apply Philippians 3:13-14 and see what happens when we take God at his word to forget what’s behind and strain toward what's ahead. Lots of practical examples including my takeaways from a recent sermon from Cardinal Thomas Collins on why humans need to be ready for struggles because they are a part of life.

Let’s take a moment and reflect on what the Lord has done in 2025. We’re in the first few days of November, so maybe it feels a bit early — there are still two months left in the year! But are we maybe rushing to get through it so we can have a fresh start (fresh faith?) in 2026?
In this episode, I share why I’m reflecting earlier than usual (preview: I had a tantrum with God, oops) and how God still has more healing and hope for us this season. We’ll cover Christian dating (and how to view that viral British Vogue article, “Is Having a Boyfriend Embarrassing Now?”), overcoming disappointment, finding a community of women in the same season, and be encouraged that maybe God didn’t answer our prayer for love this year, but just look at what he has done. God has more for us -- let us believe it and encourage one another.

Have questions about life things and need answers? Feeling like you’re not living up to your full potential? Wondering how to live and move more in line with the Spirit? A short testimony of how I spent a precious day off, not being “productive” like I originally thought, but through obedience not only was productive but obedient – aka where God wants me (and you!). I pray you’re encouraged to let God ignite this season of your life the way he wants and trust his ways and timing in all things because truly there is no better way.

It's been three months since the last episode... and also three months since I started my new job! Coincidence? Nope… I’ve been giving my best at work and soaking in this sweet answered prayer, and would love to share my top three lessons, habits, and prayers from job hunting in 2025. If you’re in this stage and it's been tough, hold onto faith in God’s plan for you, you dearly loved child of God! May we remember God is preparing us for so much more than this next step and that there's no better place than being right in the heart of his plan.

What happens when God turns up the heat? Are we going to try and escape? Or trust that he’s going to give us what we need to handle it—allow his heat to refine us like gold? Let’s talk about how waiting for an answer to prayer can be a hot process, and that how we handle the process may affect how we praise God before, during, and after our breakthrough. We end with a pep talk on how living in love with God should be our greatest joy. Whether we are or are not in the End Times, Jesus calls us to be on guard and ready for his return any time. Are we truly living for him?

This week, testimonies on the importance of staying organized (digital planners, Notion, Google Sheets, oh my!) and pursuing your God dreams (even or especially when you want to curl up and ignore them), seeing fruit from obedience (has God ever called you to serve in the last place you wanted?), and two testimonies of how staying humble and letting God promote you (“Jesus Teaches about Humility,” Luke 14) truly works.

An unpolished, open-hearted chat about why being in an “It’s not optional God—I need you to bring breakthrough” position may not be our favourite way to start the year but it’s pure, honest, and pleasing to God who loves when we fully rely on him.
Prayer: Lord, may this be a year of fulfilled hopes and beautiful fruit bloomed from the pruning you’ve been doing in our hearts. Amen.

For me and many of my friends, 2024 was a really refining year. And may it continue in 2025, amen? In this episode, I share my word of the year for 2024, how my year went and what I learned about said word, how I felt God used the year to do a lot of internal refining, and why it’s OK that things may not have happened in our way or timing in 2024 but we can go into 2025 full of more hope than ever. Love you, friends. Blessed new year and speak soon.

Pray and trust God with the outcome… total surrender to him... easier said than done? If you’re feeling this way, tune in :) Sharing how God has been leading me towards a “be expectant and chill… trust God will answer and relax” attitude, and why it’s different than how he’s taught me to wait on him in the past. Let’s keep praying to our Lord, friends! Waiting on the Lord is good—it shows we trust him.
