The Noble Prophets (a.s) (S1) Surah [6:84-86]; Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى mentions 17 Prophets (a.s) and says: “We favoured them above all the nations”. The Prophets (a.s) are the best of us. To begin with our ancient grandfather, Adam (a.s): Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى commands Izraaeel (the Angel of death) (a.s) to descend to Earth to collect soil so that Adam (a.s) could be created. The Earth converses with Jibraaeel, Mikaeel and Izraaeel (a.s). The Messenger ﷺ: “Adam (a.s) was created from 3 types of Earth [soil]; Black, white and red”. This soil was picked from all over the Earth. This explains why we have different races and characteristics, as elucidated by the Messenger ﷺ.

S05 - Allah (swt) - Surah [42:11]: “There is nothing like Him”. (سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى).
Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى (S5) Ibn Taymiyyah (r.h) said if you’re honoured to see Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى in your dreams, you see Him (سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى) according to your condition. Surah [42:11]: “There is nothing like Him”. (سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى). Abu Bakr رضي الله عنه: “The best thing you can see in your dream is Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى, or His Prophet ﷺ”. Nu’aym Ibn Hamaad (r.h), Imam Bukhari’s (r.h) teacher, said: “Whoever likens Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى to His creation has committed unbelief”. The Messenger ﷺ: “The most virtuous of faith is that you know that Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى is with you, wherever you are”. سُبْحَانَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّٰهِ اَللَّٰهُ أَكْبَرُ

S04 - Allah (swt) - Hadith which are weak but contain virtuous acts
Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى (S4) Hadith which are weak but contain virtuous acts, if you act on them sincerely and with belief you will be rewarded for them. (This is not the case for extremely weak or fabricated reports however). Such is the mercy of our Lord سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى. Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى: “I am as my servant thinks of Me”. The Messenger ﷺ: “By Him [سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى] Who has my soul in His Hand, on the Day of judgement, Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى will forgive people in such a way that even shaytaan will think Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى will forgive him”. Surah [10:26] mentions that the good doers will receive Paradise, and even more. Even more refers to seeing Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى. Nothing will be more beloved to them than seeing their Lord! سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى.

S03 - Allah (swt) - Surah [5:101]: “O you who believe, do not ask questions about things, which if made clear to you, may trouble you”.
Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى (S3) Salma al-Farsi رضي الله عنه: “What He (سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى) remained silent about, He (سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى) Has pardoned”. Surah [5:101]: “O you who believe, do not ask questions about things, which if made clear to you, may trouble you”. Shaytaan makes you think everything is Haraam. However, upon closer inspection we realise that there is more things that are Halal. Such is the mercy of our Lord سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى. Abu Darda رضي الله عنه: “An hour in reflection is better than standing the entire night in worship”.

S02 - Allah (swt) - The Messenger ﷺ: “Verily, a greater reward is for a greater trial. Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى tests those who He سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى loves”.
Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى (S2) The Messenger ﷺ: “Verily, a servant shall have a lofty station with Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى that he cannot attain through his deeds, so He سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى afflicts the servant with what he dislikes so that he can reach this station”. The Messenger ﷺ: “Verily, a greater reward is for a greater trial. Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى tests those who He سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى loves”. Abu Sa’eed al-Harraaz (r.h): “Wellness conceals the good and bad [i.e people]. The true man is revealed when hardship strikes”. A smooth sea never made a seasoned sailor… The Messenger ﷺ: “Good deeds are many, but those who do them are few”. Such is the love and mercy of Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى, He سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى has given us so much good to do, however we do not even make effort…truly mad is our state, we leave the good too late.

S01 - Allah (swt) - Our Lord سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى shows us mercy in ways we perceive not.
Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى (S1) Our Lord سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى shows us mercy in ways we perceive not. Yahya Ibn Muazh (r.h) said that the poor are happier than the rich due to doing more Zhikr. If poverty was lifted from them, only few would remember Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى) much. Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى Himself said: “If I gave them wealth, it would corrupt them”. The Messenger ﷺ: “Amongst the best acts of worship is to show patience, awaiting relief”. So our brothers and sisters in Gaza have been in the best form of worship for the past years! Ali رضي الله عنه: “Patience is the beauty of poverty. Gratitude is the beauty of the wealthy”. The Messenger ﷺ: “By means of any suffering in the body, your sins are forgiven”.

S51 FINAL SESSION - Talha Ibn Ubaydullah (ra) - Talha رضي الله عنه was around 64 years old when he was martyred, in 36 A.H.
Talha Ibn Ubaydullah رضي الله عنه (S51) - Final session Concluding the battle of the Camel: After the martyrdom of Talha and Zubayr رضي الله عنهم, the battle was fought and won by Ali رضي الله عنه. Our mother Aisha رضي الله عنها was taken back to Madinah. Ali رضي الله عنه took her some distance and the remaining distance she رضي الله عنها was taken by Hasan and Hussain رضي الله عنهم. A man asked Ali رضي الله عنه: “Did you fight polytheists?” [i.e at the battle of the camel]. Ali رضي الله عنه replied: “We fled from polytheism” [i.e thus how can they be polytheists?]. The man asked: “Were they Munafiqs?”. Ali رضي الله عنه replied: “Munafiqs rarely remember their Lord سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى”. [i.e thus the other side weren’t Munafiqs. They remembered Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى much]. Ali رضي الله عنه said: “They were our brothers who just rebelled. But they have repented and we have forgiven them”. Abdullah Ibn Abaas رضي الله عنهم converses with Ameer Muawiya رضي الله عنه and speaks highly of Talha and Zubayr رضي الله عنهم. Talha رضي الله عنه was around 64 years old when he was martyred, in 36 A.H. A man saw in a dream that Talha رضي الله عنه said to him move my grave, water is disturbing me. When the grave was dug up, Talha’s رضي الله عنه body was exaclty the same, except a few small hairs near Talha’s رضي الله عنه blessed jaw. This was 30 years after he had been martyred.

S50 - Talha Ibn Ubaydullah (ra) - Speaking ill of any of the Companions رضي الله عنهم is a disastrous path to take
Talha Ibn Ubaydullah رضي الله عنه (S50) Sa’ad Ibn Abi Waqaas رضي الله عنه heard a man speaking ill of Ali, Talha and Zubayr رضي الله عنهم (after they had passed away). Sa’ad رضي الله عنه said: “Stop this! They have received tremendous accolades”. Sa’ad رضي الله عنه said stop this cursing or I will supplicate against you. The man scoffed and replied: “He curses me as if he was a Prophet”. Sa’ad رضي الله عنه then supplicated and a camel ran in, crushing the man with its chest. The People congratulated Sa’ad رضي الله عنه on his dua being accepted. Sa’ad رضي الله عنه, out of his utmost Taqwa, then freed a slave and swore to never curse anyone again. Speaking ill of any of the Companions رضي الله عنهم is a disastrous path to take. One must be acquainted with these noble souls رضي الله عنهم to avoid any negative thoughts. The Messenger ﷺ: “Allah, Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى), fear Him (سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى) in regards to my Companions [رضي الله عنهم]. Do not target them after me. Whoever loves them, loves them out of love for me. Whoever hates them, hates them out of love for me. Whoever hates me, hates Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى and whoever hates Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى is about to perish”.

S49 - Talha Ibn Ubaydullah (ra) - Talha’s رضي الله عنه sons, Musa and Imran (r.h) pledge allegiance to Ali رضي الله عنه.
Talha Ibn Ubaydullah رضي الله عنه (S49) Talha’s رضي الله عنه sons, Musa and Imran (r.h) pledge allegiance to Ali رضي الله عنه. Ali رضي الله عنه performs the Janazah for both Talha and Zubayr رضي الله عنهم. Both blessed souls seem to have been buried together in Basra. Ali رضي الله عنه recited Surah [15:47] at their graves and recalls the words of the Messenger ﷺ: “Talha and Zubayr رضي الله عنهم will be my neighbours in Paradise”. Some ignorant people falsely claim that Talha and Zubayr رضي الله عنهم died in rebellion. The scholars (r.h) refute such claims: The Messenger ﷺ called Talha رضي الله عنه a living martyr, proving he cannot die in rebellion. The Messenger ﷺ says the killer of Zubayr رضي الله عنه will be in Hell. (Thus Zubayr رضي الله عنه is on the truth). Hasan al-Basri (r.h) said that the Companions رضي الله عنهم were there, present. We were not. Thus we do not speak about any differences they had. We do not add our own theories. May Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى be well pleased with all the Companions of the Messenger ﷺ. Indeed, He (سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى) is.

S48 - Talha Ibn Ubaydullah (ra) - There is a false report which claims Marwaan Ibn al-Hakam (r.h) was the one who killed Talha رضي الله عنه.
Talha Ibn Ubaydullah رضي الله عنه (S48) There is a false report which claims Marwaan Ibn al-Hakam (r.h) was the one who killed Talha رضي الله عنه. This is not the case. Ibn Arabi (r.h) states that there is no authentic chain supporting this. Ibn Kathir (r.h) said it was someone else who killed Talha رضي الله عنه. Marwaan (r.h) was on the same side as Talha رضي الله عنه, why would he kill him? Marwaan (r.h) was later placed governor of Makkah by other Companions (رضي الله عنهم), would they place an evil doer there? Ali رضي الله عنه praised and spoke highly of Marwaan (r.h) and Marwaan (r.h) praised and spoke highly of Ali رضي الله عنه. It is clear that someone is targeting these blessed souls. Books of history record everything. These poisoned people take texts out of context which are most of the time fabricated and use it to fuel their propaganda. Ali رضي الله عنه had utmost love for Talha رضي الله عنه. When he saw the body of Talha and his son, Muhammad رضي الله عنهم, he was heartbroken. He رضي الله عنه said: “Would that I had passed away 20 years prior”. (I.e in the Khilafat of his blessed son in law, Umar رضي الله عنه).

S47 - Talha Ibn Ubaydullah (ra) - Zubayr رضي الله عنه tried to reconcile the people, but it did not succeed
Talha Ibn Ubaydullah رضي الله عنه (S47) Zubayr رضي الله عنه tried to reconcile the people, but it did not succeed. He رضي الله عنه left. Talha رضي الله عنه also left. He رضي الله عنه was hit by an arrow. It pierced his knee and was a fatal blow. One report mentions Talha رضي الله عنه was taken off the field and was treated, however he was martyred due to excessive blood loss. Another report states Talha رضي الله عنه was martyred on the field; this narrative is weak but is more favoured as it reconciles with other reports. Ali رضي الله عنه went to Talha’s رضي الله عنه body and cleaned his face, then held him in his lap. Ali رضي الله عنه said: “May Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى have mercy on you O Abu Muhammad [رضي الله عنهم]. It breaks my heart to see you laying here beneath the stars”. He رضي الله عنه also said: “Tell the killer of Talha [رضي الله عنه] he has reserved himself a place in the hellfire!”. Thus passed away: Abu Muhammad, son of as-Sa’ba [رضي الله عنهم], second cousin and son in law of Abu Bakr رضي الله عنه, the one named ‘al-Qarinayn’, the one whose four wives were sisters of the mothers of the believers رضي الله عنهم, the paired brother of Ka’ab Ibn Malik رضي الله عنه, father in law of Hasan and Hussain رضي الله عنهم, the neighbour of the Messenger ﷺ in Paradise; our exemplar, Talha Ibn Ubaydullah رضي الله عنه. May our mothers and fathers be ransomed for him. Zubayr رضي الله عنه was also martyred. He رضي الله عنه was praying when a man cut off his head. Ali رضي الله عنه was devastated and furious upon hearing this. He رضي الله عنه said: “Tell the killer of Zubayr [رضي الله عنه] he has reserved himself a place in the hellfire!”.

S46 - Talha Ibn Ubaydullah (ra) - The battle of the camel: The battle took place on a Friday
Talha Ibn Ubaydullah رضي الله عنه (S46) The battle of the camel: The battle took place on a Friday, the 16th of Jamada al-Thaani, 36 A.H, in az-Zabuka, an area near Basra. The battle was fought in 2 parts. The first part, from dawn till midday, was lead by Talha and Zubayr رضي الله عنهم. This was the first civil war in our history, still the Companions’ رضي الله عنهم nobility shines brighter than the sun: both sides were lead by people promised Paradise. They called out not to kill those that flee, do not kill the injured etc, to minimise bloodshed. It had been ~33 years since Uhud, the day that belonged to Talha رضي الله عنه, the living martyr. He رضي الله عنه now supplicated for martyrdom.

S45 - Talha Ibn Ubaydullah (ra) - Peace talks: Neither our mother nor our Mawla رضي الله عنهم wanted bloodshed
Talha Ibn Ubaydullah رضي الله عنه (S45) Peace talks: Neither our mother nor our Mawla رضي الله عنهم wanted bloodshed. Ali رضي الله عنه sends Ka’ka رضي الله عنه to speak in Aisha’s رضي الله عنها camp. Ka’ka رضي الله عنه mentions it’s dangerous for Aisha رضي الله عنها to continue pursuing the rebels, she may be attacked by other tribes, including the tribe of Harkoos, which was Banu Sa’ad. He was the one rebel that survived from the prior clash. Both parties agreed to the terms, and peace was made. However peace was the last thing the mischief mongers wanted. They planned to launch inside attacks on either side, to blame eachother and thus begin a battle. This was executed successfully. Talha رضي الله عنه realised the rebels had ulterior motives. He رضي الله عنه called out: “Woe to you. You are like moths to a flame. Greed is killing them!”. [i.e talking to the rebels].

S44 - Talha Ibn Ubaydullah (ra) - Ali رضي الله عنه said: “I am being tested with Aisha رضي الله عنه
Talha Ibn Ubaydullah رضي الله عنه (S44) Ali رضي الله عنه en route Kufa heard that Aisha’s رضي الله عنها force was marching. He رضي الله عنه said: “I am being tested with Aisha رضي الله عنها, the most obedient of all human beings. With Zubayr رضي الله عنه, the toughest. With Talha رضي الله عنه, the most genius and with Ya’la رضي الله عنه, the most cooperative”. Ali رضي الله عنه and his force reach Rabadah, an area ~150 miles east of Madinah. This is the place Abu Zharr رضي الله عنه was buried. Ali رضي الله عنه had ~900 men. He رضي الله عنه sends men to Kufa, to get some more people recruited. The governor of Kufa was Abu Musa al-Ashari رضي الله عنه. Only when Ammar Ibn Yasir and Hasan Ibn Ali رضي الله عنهم were sent did the people agree to join. ~7,000 men joined Ali رضي الله عنه. Another ~2,000 joined from Basra. Ali’s رضي الله عنه forces were now ~12,000. Ali رضي الله عنه did not want a fight to break out. Ali رضي الله عنه says: “Talha and Zubayr رضي الله عنهم will be martyred, and the Kufans will follow us in even greater numbers”. Abdullah Ibn Abaas رضي الله عنهم said Ali رضي الله عنه could not have known this; the Messenger ﷺ must have told him all those years prior! May Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى be well pleased with our mother and our mawla.

S43 - Talha Ibn Ubaydullah (ra) - Imam Ali رضي الله عنه changes the capital from Madinah to Kufa. Why?
Talha Ibn Ubaydullah رضي الله عنه (S43) The force had gone weeks without being catered for. Now they had Basra, they recharged there. Uthmaan Ibn Hunayf رضي الله عنه was beaten by a group of misinformed people. When Aisha رضي الله عنها heard of this, she immediately said what have you done? And Uthmaan رضي الله عنه was to be released. The Rawafid claim that it was Companions رضي الله عنهم who beat up Uthmaan Ibn Hunayf رضي الله عنه - this is completely baseless and a fabricated report! Aisha (a.s) uses her brilliance and writes letters to the major cities to elucidate what happened at Basra. She رضي الله عنها wrote to Shaam, Kufa, Yamamah and Madinah. She رضي الله عنها mentioned that the Khawarij wanted to hold her hostage! Imam Ali رضي الله عنه changes the capital from Madinah to Kufa. Why?: 1) He رضي الله عنه wanted no disrespect to be shown in Madinah, the blessed city. 2) He رضي الله عنه had a large following in Kufa. 3) There was funds in Iraq which could be used to supply war if needed. Ali رضي الله عنه gives his final Salaam to the Messenger ﷺ and leaves Madinah, never to return. How difficult this must have been, his entire life he رضي الله عنه spent with the Messenger ﷺ and now he has to leave…

S02 - Surah Al-Naml (27) Verse 7-8
Surah 27 The Female Ant v7-8 Session 2 'Verily I Am your Lord, thus put off your shoes...' The 70 Veils of Light There is no day or night with your Lord (SWT), indeed the immense light of the entire heavens is from the Light of His Face (SWT), Tabarani. ..His (SWT) veil is light. If He (SWT) removed His veil then the light of His Face (ie thus note that this Light from His Face [SWT] is separate from the light of the veil) would burn the sight of any of His creation who gazed upon Him, (Muslim) verse 8. The Reflection The image is manifested in the mirror but it is not transfigured into it. It is also quite evident that this manifestation refulgence was not the refulgence of Allah (SWT). No one has believed in anything better than believing in the unseen, Ibn Masood (ra) Hakim.

S42 - Talha Ibn Ubaydullah (ra) - The Messenger ﷺ: “The best of mankind are those who kill them [i.e the Khawarij] or are killed by them
Talha Ibn Ubaydullah رضي الله عنه (S42) The force reaches al-Hubayrah, an area just outside Basra. Messengers were sent calling for the nobles and leaders from the city to help identify the killers of Uthmaan رضي الله عنه. The governor of Basra was Uthmaan Ibn Hunayf رضي الله عنه, he was appointed by Ali رضي الله عنه. Our mother Aisha (a.s) elucidates the situation to Uthmaan Ibn Hunayf رضي الله عنه. She رضي الله عنها also sends a letter to Abu Musa al-Ashari رضي الله عنه, who was the governor of Kufa appointed by Ali (a.s). Some people ignorantly claim that nothing good came out of the force that our mother رضي الله عنها gathered. This is false. One of the fruits was such; the killing of Hukaym Ibn Jabala, one of the rebel leaders. All but one of the rebels were wiped out. Talha and Zubayr رضي الله عنهم called out: “We are only here for Uthmaan’s رضي الله عنه murderers. If you were not involved then stay away”. Such was the nobility of the Companions رضي الله عنهم. The Messenger ﷺ: “The best of mankind are those who kill them [i.e the Khawarij] or are killed by them [i.e the Khawarij]”.

Talha Ibn Ubaydullah رضي الله عنه (S41) All of our mothers رضي الله عنهم agreed with Aisha رضي الله عنها that Uthmaan رضي الله عنه needed to be avenged. Her followers were righteous people, Talha and Zubayr رضي الله عنهم said the followers were the best of people. Our mother Aisha رضي الله عنها was the most qualified of the Messenger’s ﷺ wives to lead here. The only difference in opinion between our mothers رضي الله عنهم was whether they should go to Madinah or Basra. Although this was a sad time in our history, it boosts our Iman. How? For many words of the Messenger ﷺ were, as always, proven to be true.

S40 - Talha Ibn Ubaydullah (ra) - Aisha’s رضي الله عنها leading was symbolic
Talha Ibn Ubaydullah رضي الله عنه (S40) Talha, Zubayr, Abdullah Ibn Zubayr and Abdullah Ibn Amir, the governor of Makkah, رضي الله عنهم all joined our the force of our mother Aisha رضي الله عنها. By being on Aisha’s رضي الله عنها side, Talha and Zubayr رضي الله عنهم did not break their pledge to Ali رضي الله عنه, for ultimately all parties’ goal was the same - avenge Uthmaan رضي الله عنه. It was just executed differently. The force was around 3,000. They headed for Basra, as it was neutral land and most of the rebels were in Madinah. The reasoning was as follows; 1) To avenge Uthmaan رضي الله عنه, and get his killers. 2) To show the true colours of the rebels and expose their mischief. 3) To bring peace between the Muslims. 4) to enjoin good and forbid evil. Aisha’s رضي الله عنها leading was symbolic: She being our mother رضي الله عنها was a symbol of peace. When the people see her coming they will stand down and realise the matter is serious and needs to be handled.
