Merry Christmas everyone!!
After 52 episodes, the Mystery Inc. gang saves the entire universe from a Satan equivalent, tons of characters die, and Alex tries (and mostly fails) to not cry on mic.
In all seriousness, this show was a treat to talk about for the better part of 2 years, and we're so thankful for you for being part of the ride.
Stay tuned for our wrap-up episode coming (probably) on the 1st, as we say goodbye to 2025 and Scooby-Doo: Mystery Incorporated one last time.
PS If you listened to the first copy of this episode that was uploaded with the massive audio flub in it, it is fixed and listenable now :)

Spoilers for the first 4 episodes of Stranger Things season 5 from 32:18-37:00 (minor "spoilers" in a few other spots so just fast forward if you start hearing something you don't want to).

The end is nigh and the boys are getting a little emo, and also because this episode was incredible!!!!!!
We're bidding adieu to longstanding settings and characters and it's epic and amazing in only the ways this kind of show can be in its final chapter (on that note, shout out to the spectacular-so-far final season of Stranger Things for serving up the same vibes as it nears its end destination).
RIP to the Mystery Machine, long may you reign.

Happy Halloween!!!
Here is a little bonus treat from us, doing a quick little love session for one of the most clever things to ever come out of the SD franchise, 1999's The Scooby-Doo Project!

Diane, 11:30 AM, October 30th. Entering the town of Crystal Cove.
Because what do you MEAN we're getting scenes straight out of Twin Peaks and American Werewolf in London in this one?! Throw in some fun voice actor cameos straight out of our favorite shows and one VERY hunky Pool Boy, and this is a welcome return to form.
Stay tuned for a bonus episode tomorrow for Halloween celebrating The Scooby-Doo Project!

Returning guest/friend of the pod Dan Telek is back for this wacky episode all about the sweet sweet sounds of Ska music. We got way more out of this one than we thought possible lmao. I will never think about ska music this much in my life again as I did in this episode.

But what actually was the point of this episode?

The best community theater productions always have real corpses involved. Also, a CRAZY amount of lore drops in the back of this episode. We're heating up!!
Check out some of Matt's handiwork in Dr. Seuss's Red Fish, Blue Fish, now streaming on Netflix :)

Man the writers were NOT messing around with this one. Truly the wildest episode of Scooby Doo in any iteration and that's saying something! Also, John Mayer, come outside, we're not gonna jump you.
PS. The Pamela Anderson-Liam Neeson romance is discussed briefly and it came to light this last Tuesday that it's all for PR and not genuine so like, fuck me for wanting to believe in love, I guess.

So there's this bear, right? And he's scary. (And a little sexy too, we're not here to lie to you.)

I (Alex) am really struggling with insomnia for the first time ever (this is terrifying, you guys) and can't come up with anything witty to put in here. We hope you like this episode, thanks as always if you're a listener :)
We may or may not have an episode next week, depending on if I end up making it to Washington DC this weekend or if I have to call off my trip and stay at home, and thus can record. Stay tuned.

No but seriously, WHAT was the deal with Boron!!
Also, apologies to the Scoob heads out there in this episode, I (Alex) confidently trash talk the movie Trick or Treat, Scooby-Doo! when in actuality the movie I was thinking of is Happy Halloween, Scooby-Doo!, which is an easy mistake to make, don't cut up my Scooby-Doo fancard PLEASE.
