From 1998 to 2023, Karius was the television Sports Anchor on Global Edmonton.
Karius began his broadcasting career in 1990 in Yorkton, SK., with stops in Prince Albert, Lethbridge, Saskatoon, and Calgary, before arriving in Edmonton.
From 2003 to 2010, Karius served as the fill-in colour analyst on Edmonton Oilers radio broadcasts. Since 2003, he has hosted “The Kevin Karius Celebrity Golf Tournament.” The annual event has raised close to 2 million dollars for Easter Seals Alberta. And he has played in “The World’s Longest Hockey Game” five times, helping raise millions of dollars for the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
