Bei den Losungen handelt es sich um Bibelverse, die für einen Tag bestimmt wurden. Die Herrnhuter Brüdergemeinde lost die Verse aus dem Alten Testament seit 1731 aus. Anschließend wird ein ergänzender Vers aus dem neuen Testament bestimmt, der so genannte “Lehrtext”. Viele Christen auf der ganzen Welt beginnen ihren Tag mit dem Lesen dieser Verse.
