Making a living from the dying? That’s what Dave does. He comforts lonely nursing home patients as they die...for a price. He refers to himself as a “Crossover Companion,” but that’s not what people call him. He’s known as “Deathbed Dave.” He’s become jaded over time and views the sick and dying as income, not people. But then he meets Val, a kind woman at the center of his latest moral dilemma - which happens to involve a large sum of stolen money. Will Dave do the right thing? Or will he live up to his dreaded nickname?

The latest season is Purple Heart Warriors, a time-travelling drama about the Japanese American soldiers who became legends of US military history. Inspired by real events, it’s the little-known story of the 442nd Regiment, decorated for their bravery fighting the Nazi German army in World War Two. Narrated by Will Sharpe and written by Oscar nominee Iris Yamashita, it is told in six-parts.
