Gabrielle Chanel hosted many of the leading visionaries of the 20th century—from Salvador Dalí to Jean Cocteau—at La Pausa, which became a site for artistic alchemy. Following a meticulous restoration, the villa reopened its doors for the Connects guests and their conversations.
The new season features changemakers across disciplines: Academy Award-winning actor Lupita Nyong’o, Emanuele Coccia – philosopher and professor, Francesca Hayward of The Royal Ballet, artist Allison Katz, performance art duo Gerard & Kelly, Lauren Collins – writer at The New Yorker, artist Matthew Lutz-Kinoy, Michelin-starred chef Mauro Colagreco, and American artist Adam Pendleton.
5 is a significant number for CHANEL, so this season promises to be special. Episodes will be released weekly from July 16.

Die besten Gespräche entstehen bei einem gemeinsamen Getränk in der Kantine. Das gilt auch für das Theater und deshalb nehmen wir euch bei „Wie war’s?“ direkt nach der Vorstellung mit in die Kantine des Berliner Ensembles: Gastgeberin und Kulturjournalistin Marion Brasch geht jede Woche mit einer wechselnden prominenten Begleitung ins Theater und nach der Vorstellung sprechen die beiden mit jemandem aus dem Team der Inszenierung übers Theater und die Welt. Was hat die Vorstellung mit ihnen gemacht? Und was hat das Theater mit uns und unserer Gesellschaft zu tun? Kurz: Sie erzählen uns, wie’s war.
In der zehnteiligen ersten Staffel wagen sich Hendrik Bolz, Axel Bosse, Lena Brasch, Iris Gavric & Matthias Renger, Maja Göpel, El Hotzo, Samuel Meffire, Thilo Mischke, Düzen Tekkal und Anne Will mit unserer Gastgeberin ins Theater. Aus dem Team unserer Inszenierungen sitzen Matthias Brandt, Claude De Demo, Bettina Hoppe, Pauline Knof, Sina Martens, Sita Messer, Sascha Nathan, Tilo Nest, Axel Ranisch und Kathrin Wehlisch vor den Mikrofonen.
