On my own path to healing, I discovered one of the secrets to really living: honesty. I grew up believing honesty was important between me and another, but I failed to see the importance (and even lack) of honesty with myself. I lived most of my 20s lost in the lies I didn't know I was telling myself, and inevitably telling others. It wasn't until I finally let myself speak some of my scariest truths that I discovered how the truth really does set you free. In this episode I share with you how honesty and self-awareness go hand in hand, and how honesty is one of the doorways you must walk through to find healing after divorce. It is not an easy journey or way of living; it takes practice and consistency. For those who dare to even try to walk this path, know you are brave and resilient. Each time you choose to tell yourself the truth instead of stuff it, you'll come more and more alive, and you'll find the awareness you need to begin rebuilding, rebirthing, and reclaiming your life.

Have you been feeling like no one is showing up for you, no one is choosing you? Have you stopped to ask yourself if you are even choosing you? This episode is all about advocating for yourself. There are so many routes I could have gone with this topic, but I chose to keep it simple and talk about practical ways you can show up for yourself and give yourself the things you need and want, instead of looking to someone outside of yourself. Divorce can leave you feeling unwanted, powerless, and defeated; advocating for yourself can be a way you start to reclaim what you have lost. I am sure I will circle back around to this topic again and again. Knowing how to advocate for yourself is a beautiful skill to learn as you navigate life after divorce and just life in general.
I want to acknowledge the women who cannot advocate for themselves. We see you. We ache with you. We grieve with you. We rage with you. For those in need here is the National Domestic Abuse Hotline: 1-800-799-7233

Are you searching for belonging and community after divorce? Are you ready to rebuild your life and step into your worth? Then you are in the right place.
I'm so excited to finally launch this podcast for myself and for all the fellow divorced women out there. In this first episode, I will be sharing with you the purpose and plan for the podcast, as well as a little background about my own divorce. You will get a small glimpse into my story and how I arrived here. I share with you the beliefs I had about divorce, how I moved at my own pace, some of the challenges and struggles I had, and helpful resources that got me through the darker days.
After recording I realized how much more there is to share with you, so as I continue to interview other women, stay on the lookout for solo episodes about how I have personally moved through my own divorce and rebuilt a life for myself.
