Trauma Anniversary is an individual response to an unresolved grief resulting from a loss or trauma. Trauma survivors usually has unsettled feelings/thoughts/memories that occur on the anniversary of the traumatic experience.
Briana was robbed at gunpoint in Manayunk (Philadelphia area), PA in 2021 the day after her college graduation which was also Mothers Day. This episode is a raw conversation on what happened, discussion about what trauma is and how to move forward.
This week's quote/affirmation is "My trauma is not my identity". Ask yourself at the end of the episode "With all of the uncertainty in your life, what makes you feel safe?".
