07. Choosing a Niche for More Time and Money with Casey Brinkman

Driven by the desire to prioritize family and achieve a work-life blend, Casey Brinkman and I hit it off almost immediately the first time we met. In this episode, we discuss the challenges and mindset shifts involved in starting a business. You’ll hear how she decided on a niche and the role it played in transforming her business and attracting ideal clients.

Casey launched The Digital Brink in 2017 as a side hustle with the hope that one day she'd be able to work from home with her kids on her lap. In just 2 1/2 years, she and her husband Chris were able to quit their 9-to-5 jobs and since have built a 6-figure ad agency creating the freedom to live life on their terms.

06. Starting a Business, Hiring a Team, and Setting Firm Boundaries with Diana Carter

This conversation is special to me, not only because I’m part of the team Diana Carter is building at Carter House Copy but because I now consider her a friend and mentor. Diana took time to chat with me just weeks before welcoming her third child… walking me through how she built the business she has today and how she’s able to step out for maternity leave. We also talk about boundaries… something she taught me a lot about as a working mom.

Diana is a self-admittedly totally-obsessed-with-her-kids working mom and a business owner. She has over a decade of experience developing brand strategies and writing copy and content for Fortune 500 companies and start ups alike. She launched Carter House Copy in August 2020 after a career in both corporate and nonprofit marketing and communications left more to be desired in terms of work-life integration and effort vs. impact.

05. What is Human Design and Reiki Energy Balancing with Rachel Hatteberg Walt

Good vibes only. In this episode, I’m talking to the woman who introduced me to human design and the world of energy, Rachel Hatteberg Walt. She has such a unique perspective. And if this feels a little too woo for you, this episode is something you’ll want to listen to. We discuss how human design can be a tool in your life and business.

Rachel is a compassionate and creative soul that thrives on alone time but can’t survive without her loved ones, the outdoors, her curiosity, and Indian food. She is one that gets stuff done but also stops to notice the birds in the trees (especially the two owls that live in her backyard!). She is the Founder of Craftingood, a mom of 3, a Speech-Language Pathologist, a Meditation Teacher, and a Reiki Master.

    04. Finding Your Purpose & Passion with Trysh Berndt

In this episode, my guest Trysh Berndt opens up in a very real and honest way about how her postpartum depression fueled her to start her coaching business. Trysh played a part in helping me find my voice. In a coaching session, we talked through some of the things that were holding me back from starting this podcast. When our session was over, I told her I’d invite her to be a guest when I launched. I’m thankful for her help and that she joined me here to share her story so openly so that others might not feel so alone.

Trysh is a certified life and PUSH coach, medical lab tech, and mom of 2. You’ll hear her passion for helping others find a love for fitness, master their energy equilibrium, and connect with their purpose in life in this episode.
