Designer Visions: Cinema Style at Soho Mews
House Beautiful Magazine: The Big Chill
For House Beautiful, well-known designer Thom Filicia envisioned the New York townhouse of The Big Chill's central characters, Harold and Sarah Cooper, twenty-six years after the college reunion they held in their Beaufort, South Carolina home. He designed the space in a palette of bold color and rich texture that welcome friends while celebrating favorite artists. Visit DesignerVisionsOnline.com for more.

Town&Country Magazine: Dinner at Eight
Inspired by the stylish dinner party and life of socialite Kitty Packard depicted in the 1930s film Dinner at Eight, Richard Mishaan designed a townhouse for Town&Country that gives Art Deco a modern twist. His imaginary client is a couple in their 50s who, like Kitty, are committed to their own perceptions of glamour and chic, and not afraid to push the envelope. The winning result is a downtown duplex with a heavy dose of uptown panache. Visit DesignerVisionsOnline.com for more.

Veranda Magazine: Girl With a Pearl Earring
Renowned architect and interior designer John Saladino took inspiration from the 2003 film Girl With a Pearl Earring for the Veranda townhouse. Based on the story behind Dutch master Johannes Vermeer's 17th century portrait of a servant girl named Griet, the film incorporated Vermeer's iconic themes of light and geometry, which Saladino echoed in the townhouse. He designed the space for an imaginary couple whose primary home is somewhere outside of New York and who purchased a pied-à-terre in Soho. Visit DesignerVisionsOnline.com for more.
