Christmas Eve | Come and Know God Better Through Jesus Christ the Sacrificial Lamb
In Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, the Ghost of Christmas Present tells Scrooge, “Come and know me better, man.” This Christmas Eve, we hear a similar invitation from God: Come and know Me better , not just in tradition, but right now.

In this message, we explore why Jesus was born (Matthew 1:21): to save us from our sins. We’ll see how God’s love seeks us out (1 Timothy 2:4), how the Gospel announces rescue, not condemnation (John 3:16-17), and how the “sign in the manger” points to Jesus as the spotless Lamb who would give His life for us (Luke 2:11-12; 1 Peter 1:18-19; 1 Peter 2:24).

Like the Wise Men following the light, and the Shepherds called out of the field - we’re invited to follow Jesus, the Light of the world, beyond the season (John 8:12; Hebrews 12:2), trusting Him to keep us in perfect peace (Isaiah 26:3). If you’re searching for meaning, forgiveness, or peace, this message is for you.

ADVENT Joy & Peace: Good News That Brings Great Joy and Lasting Peace
In this Advent message on Joy and Peace, Pastor Andrew explores the powerful truth announced on the first Christmas night: the good news of great joy that leads to lasting peace. Drawing from Luke 2 and the angelic proclamation to the shepherds, this sermon shows how joy and peace though distinct, are inseparable gifts of the Gospel, rooted not in changing circumstances but in reconciliation with God through Jesus Christ.

As heaven rejoices and peace is proclaimed on earth, we discover why Christ came: not to offer temporary happiness, but to deal decisively with sin, restore our relationship with God, and bring peace that endures through every season of life.

This message invites us to move beyond admiration of the Christmas story to personally receiving the joy and peace found only in Christ - the Savior who entered our darkness so we could live in His light. 🎙️ Speaker: Pastor Andrew Pearce | Hope for Today Church, Waterford ON

When Truth Confronts the Flesh: BREAKING FREE FROM ANGER & SELF-JUSTIFICATION
When Truth Confronts the Flesh: BREAKING FREE FROM ANGER & SELF-JUSTIFICATION

📖 2 Thess 2:15–17; 2 Tim 4:3; 1 Cor 15:33; Mt 4:4; Prov 30:5; 2 Tim 3:15–16; Col 3:2–10

Description:
How do we stand firm in truth when culture keeps moving the goalposts?
In this concluding message of our Clinging to the Truth series, Pastor Andrew unpacks Paul’s urgent call to “stand firm and hold fast” in a world filled with false teaching, moral confusion, and spiritual deception.

This Gospel-centered message walks through four practical areas where culture challenges biblical truth—sexual immorality, greed, unforgiveness, and self-justification—and contrasts them with the life-giving teaching of Jesus. Through passages in Colossians 3, Romans 6, Luke 9, and the words of Jesus in John 14, we discover how the Spirit renews us, how grace frees us, and how truth anchors us.

As we prepare our hearts for Advent, this message reminds us that we are not standing firm alone—Christ strengthens us, the Spirit empowers us, and the Father surrounds us with eternal encouragement and hope (2 Thess 2:16–17).

Let’s talk about Sex, Love of Money and Greed: As the world keeps shifting the goalposts of spirituality and morality?
Let’s talk about Sex, Love of Money and Greed: “What does it really mean to “stand firm in the truth” when the world keeps shifting the goalposts of morality?”

In today’s final message of our Clinging to the Truth series, we explore Paul’s powerful charge in 2 Thessalonians 2:15 and why standing firm matters more now than ever.

False teaching doesn’t only distort what we believe — it distorts how we live.
In a culture where sin is redefined, truth becomes personal, and comfort is preferred over conviction, Paul reminds us of a life-saving command:

👉 “Stand firm and hold to the traditions you were taught.”

In this sermon we explore:

> Moral deception and the rise of “itching ears” (2 Tim 4:3)

> Why holiness is our new identity in Christ (Col 3:2–10)

> What Jesus taught about sexuality, possessions, forgiveness, and self-denial

> How to resist cultural Christianity and follow Jesus with clarity and courage

> How the early church understood Paul’s words — and why they still matter today

> How believers can enter Advent standing firm in faith, hope, and truth

This message calls us back to Jesus Christ — the Way, the Truth, and the Life — and reminds us that His Spirit empowers us to live holy, compassionate, and steadfast lives in a confused world.

Stand firm. Hold fast. Choose Christ today.

What really happens after we die? If God is love, do we get second chances?
What really happens after we die—do people get a second chance with God if they rejected Jesus in this life?

In this message, we wrestle honestly with that question through Jesus’ own words in Matthew 25:31–46 and Luke 16:19–31.

We’ll see that Scripture teaches a fixed, irreversible separation between the righteous and the wicked after death (Hebrews 9:27), and that the “great chasm” Jesus describes is not a temporary waiting room, but a picture of finality.

Yet this is not a message of fear—it’s a message of hope, compassion, and urgency. We explore how God’s judgment flows from His righteousness, justice, faithful love, and truth (Psalm 89:14), and how eternal destiny is connected to real faith expressed through tangible compassion (1 John 3:17; Ephesians 2:8–10).

Most importantly, we proclaim the good news that today is the day of salvation. Because of Christ’s finished work—His blood that redeems and transfers us from darkness into His kingdom (Ephesians 1:7; Colossians 1:13)—there is no second chance after death, but there is mercy now.

🙏 Key Verse:
“Anyone who hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not come under judgment but has passed from death to life.” – John 5:24 (CSB)

Watch, reflect, and respond to the call to choose Christ today and live with eternity in view.

There Is No Support for Purgatory - The Blood of Christ Cleanses Us Completely
In a world of spiritual confusion, the Gospel still rings clear: Christ’s blood cleanses us completely.
There’s no second chance after death, no post-death purification, and no purgatory because Jesus paid it all.

Watch this message and stand firm in the truth of His finished work.

In this powerful and timely message, Pastor Andrew unpacks Paul’s charge in 2 Thessalonians 2:13-17, reminding believers that God’s truth does not shift, and Christ’s work does not fail.

We live in a world where falsehood often sounds convincing, where even teachings like purgatory can appear compassionate but quietly contradict the Gospel. This sermon brings clarity, showing from Scripture that there is no biblical support for a post-death purification.

Discover how the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us completely, without the need for indulgences, prayers, or masses to shorten some imagined waiting period. When Jesus declared, “It is finished” (John 19:30), He meant it. The cross paid it all.

Through passages like Colossians 2:13–-4, 1 John 1:7, and Revelation 1:5-6, we’ll see that Christ’s redemption is full, final, and forever. There is no delay for the believer, no holding place, no probation, no second chance after death.

🔥 Key Takeaway:
Because of Jesus, we don’t pass through fire, we pass through grace.
The cross is complete, the blood of Christ is enough, and the grace of God is sufficient for your salvation.

✝️ Highlights:

1. Why purgatory contradicts the sufficiency of Christ’s atonement
2. How indulgences, prayers, and masses distort the finished work of Jesus
3. What Jesus’ words “It is finished” truly mean for believers today
4. How to stand firm in the truth amid spiritual deception

🕊️ Scripture Focus:
2 Thessalonians 2:13–17 | Colossians 2:13–14 | 1 John 1:7 | Revelation 1:5–6; 22:11–16

Do we Pray to Mary and the Saints? | Christ Alone is our Saviour and Mediator
Are we called to pray to Mary, the Mother of Jesus? and to call upon Saints to pray for our dearly departed that they may gain entry to heaven?

When so many voices sound “Christian,” how do you tell truth from deception—and stand firm?

In this Part 1 message from 2 Thessalonians 2:13–17 we unpack how believers—loved, chosen, and sanctified by the Spirit—can hold fast to the apostolic Gospel in a culture buzzing with spiritual counterfeits.

Paul’s charge to “stand firm and hold to the traditions” calls us back to Scripture, not speculation.

In Part 1, Pastor Andrew speaks to a real-world example of false teaching: the claim that Mary was sinless and assumed bodily into heaven—and why this contradicts the Bible’s clear witness that only Christ is sinless and the sole Mediator (Rom 3:23; 2 Cor 5:21; 1 Jn 3:5; 1 Tim 2:5; Heb 7:24–25).
Lift your eyes to Jesus’ finished work and live with courage, clarity, and compassion in confusing times.

Key Scriptures: 2 Thess 2:13–17; Rev 22:11–16; Eph 2:8–9; 1 Cor 15:1–4; Rom 3:23; 1 Tim 2:5; Rom 8:34; Heb 7:24–25; Heb 9:11–27; Matt 7:15; Acts 20:29.

Am I worthy of His Calling?
What does it truly mean to live worthy of God’s call?

In this encouraging message, “Worthy of His Calling: Living with Eternal Encouragement,” Pastor Andrew Pearce unpacks 2 Thessalonians 1:10–12 alongside Revelation 22:12–14, 20–21, revealing that the Christian life is not about striving for worth — but living from the worth we already have in Christ.

Paul’s prayer for the Thessalonians reminds us that God Himself shapes our lives to reflect His grace, strengthens us to do good, and prepares us for the glory of His return. Revelation completes that vision, showing us that Jesus is coming soon — with His reward in hand for all who remain faithful.

You’ll be uplifted as you’re reminded that:

👉God makes you worthy of His calling through faith in Jesus.
👉His grace empowers and fulfills every good work done in faith.
👉His Spirit provides eternal encouragement to live with hope until He comes again.

💡 Big Idea:
Because we are identified with Christ by faith, God makes us worthy of His calling, strengthens us by His grace, and prepares us for His coming glory.

🎙️Thankful That My Name Is Written in Heaven | Luke 10:20; 1 Thess 5:18
Imagine a great banquet hall in heaven. At the door stands an angel with the Lamb’s Book of Life, turning each page, searching for your name. And when he finds it — written in the blood of Jesus — he smiles and says, “Welcome home.”

That, Church, is the pinnacle of our thankfulness! Because of Jesus, our names are secure — no one can blot them out.

This Thanksgiving Sunday, Pastor Andrew reminds us from 2 Corinthians 2:14–17 that true gratitude flows from knowing we belong to Christ, led in His triumphal procession and carrying the fragrance of His grace into our world.

We are not to go “fragrance-free.” Every believer is a diffuser of grace, releasing the sweet aroma of Jesus in our homes, workplaces, schools, and communities. Our lives are meant to spread the scent of heaven — pointing others to the hope and salvation found in Him.
