Narcissism, Spiritual Recovery, and the Path to Inner Transformation with Sterlin Mosley
Narcissism is often treated like a label to fear, but this conversation treats it as a doorway to deeper self-awareness. Sterlin Mosley reframes narcissism as a defense strategy, not the entirety of a person, and explains why naming patterns is the first step to real healing. This episode is for anyone navigating ego, empathy struggles, spiritual communities, or the aftermath of a painful relationship. You will learn how self-protection can masquerade as enlightenment, why psychology and spirituality must develop together, and how accountability can create connection instead of shame.   About the Guest  : Sterlin Mosley is the author of The Narcissist in You and Everyone Else and Center of the Universe. He works with people exploring narcissistic traits and the psychology-spirituality intersection.   Key Takeaways  : Treat narcissism as a defense strategy, not a full identity Name the pattern first so you know what to heal Watch for “helper” roles used to control outcomes Build psychology and spirituality together, not separately Pair insight with behavior change, not excuses Use self-awareness to grow empathy without tolerating harm   How to Connect With the Guest  : Website: https://www.sterlinmosley.com/ Instagram | Facebook | Substack     Want to be a guest on Healthy Mind, Healthy Life? Healing Multiple Sclerosis Through Five Koshas with Dayna Wylder
In this returning conversation, we unpack what happens when a life-altering diagnosis forces a full reset. Dayna Wylder shares how her multiple sclerosis experience pushed her from “fight mode” into deep listening. We talk nervous system disconnection, trauma patterns, chronic stress, and why healing can look more like integration than “fixing.” Dayna breaks down the Five Koshas as a practical framework for whole-person well-being. Physical care matters, but so do energy, mindset, emotional digestion, and the shift from living in effect to living in cause through radical responsibility. If you’re navigating autoimmune symptoms, burnout, or feeling disconnected from your own body, this episode reframes healing as collaboration with your body, not a war against it.   About the Guest  : Dayna Wylder is an author and healing guide exploring trauma recovery, nervous system restoration, energy and vibration, and the Five Koshas as a pathway back to embodied well-being. She recently released her book Unlearned Disease, Relearn Well-Being and is beginning her podcast guest journey to share what she’s learned.   Key Takeaways: A diagnosis can become its own trauma. The mindset shift is moving from battling symptoms to building a relationship with the body. Dayna challenges compartmentalized healthcare thinking and focuses on the body-mind link. How thoughts can shape bodily signals and stress chemistry. Multiple sclerosis is described here as a disruption in sensing and interpreting the world. That reframes “healing” as restoring connection and safety in the body. Listening starts when you stop overriding the whispers. If you ignore them your body can escalate to a full stop moment. “Doing” and over-achieving can be a coping strategy for discomfort with being. Slowing down becomes a required skill, not a vibe. Toxic positivity fails when emotions are undigested. Making space for anger grief and fear helps them move through instead of getting stored. The Five Koshas model supports multi-layer healing: physical habits, energy awareness, mental patterns, wisdom, and the deeper experience of bliss. Radical responsibility shifts you from effect to cause. Expectations, triggers, and old patterns become data not a life sentence. Healing is not linear. Old wounds can resurface. Awareness plus self-regulation shortens the spiral.   How Listeners Can Connect With Dayna   Website: https://www.energyovermatter.com/ Book: Unlearn Disease ReLearn Well-Being (available via major online bookstores)Socials: Energy Over MatterFree monthly Healing Circle: details shared on her website and socials   Some statements reflect personal belief and experiences and are presented as individual views, not medical advice. Reclaim Your Rhythm: Nervous System Mastery with Rachel Korb
High achieving women are burning out inside systems built around a 24 hour male rhythm. In this conversation, coach and founder of Nervous System Mastery for Women, Rachel Korb breaks down why so many women feel like they are failing at productivity when in reality the framework is failing them. She explains the science of the circadian versus infradian cycle, how the four phases of the menstrual cycle affect energy, focus and emotional regulation, and why capacity is never meant to be constant. Rachel walks through the concept of the window of tolerance, the difference between fight or flight and freeze or shutdown, and how chronic stress and allostatic load quietly erode health, hormones and performance. She also names the early warning signs women tend to override . tension in the body, distraction cycles, perfectionism and a brutal inner critic. If you are successful on paper yet exhausted in your body, this episode gives you a practical, physiology based playbook to renegotiate how you work, rest and relate to yourself. Think less hustle, more strategic nervous system regulation that actually fits a female body and a real life. About the Guest: Rachel Korb is an ICF certified coach and the founder of Nervous System Mastery for Women. She has worked with women from more than 40 countries, helping them move from burnout and chronic dysregulation to sustainable high performance that respects their biology. Drawing on two decades of mindfulness, somatics and leadership work, Rachel teaches women to work with their nervous system, menstrual cycle and lived realities instead of trying to squeeze into a one size fits all productivity model. Key Takeaways: Women in their reproductive years run on a 24 hour circadian rhythm plus a roughly 28 day infradian rhythm, so expecting the same energy and output every day is biologically misaligned. The four phases of the menstrual cycle (follicular, ovulation, luteal, menstruation) change how flexible the nervous system is. Capacity for stress and social engagement is usually higher in the first half of the cycle and more vulnerable after ovulation. The window of tolerance framework helps women name three states. regulated connection, hyper arousal (fight, flight, fawn) and hypo arousal (freeze, shutdown). Chronic time outside this window drives burnout. Allostatic load is the wear and tear of chronic stress on the body. When women never fully recover, it accelerates cellular aging, disrupts hormones, worsens sleep and sets the stage for burnout, anxiety and physical symptoms. High performing women often ignore early red flags . constant tension, migraines, insomnia, doom scrolling, binge watching, emotional numbness, and self soothing with food or alcohol instead of regulation. Many women carry a strong inner critic, impostor syndrome and perfectionism, with very little self compassion. This nervous system pattern shrinks the window of tolerance and makes recovery harder. Sustainable regulation is not about rigid 30 minute routines. It is about micro practices woven into daily life. breathwork, movement, humming in the shower to stimulate the vagus nerve and somatic sensing that meets the body where it is. Practices should change by cycle phase. what works in the high energy follicular phase will not be appropriate in the more sensitive luteal phase. Adapting regulation tools to biology turns them into a genuine strategic advantage. Rest is not optional. it is infrastructure. Women need explicit permission to stop performing long enough to listen to their bodies instead of chasing worth through constant productivity. When women understand their physiology, they can stop blaming themselves, redesign their work around their actual rhythm and build careers and lives that do not require a fourth round of burnout to get the message. Are Your Four Bodies Out of Alignment in the Modern Age? With Gabriela Popescu
In this conversation on Mind Over Matter, Gabriela Popescu breaks down the four bodies we carry through life. physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. No fluff, no mystical escape hatch. just a clear reality check on why one meditation session will not fix a body that is exhausted, undernourished and emotionally shut down. Gabriela calls out the quick fix culture that chases pills, hacks and instant gratification while ignoring lifestyle, boundaries and nervous system health. She explains how unprocessed emotions from childhood, rigid cultural expectations and inherited beliefs quietly run the show in adulthood, shaping how we think, react and relate. If you are feeling overwhelmed, burnt out or just “off,” this episode gives you simple, practical entry points. from a ten minute walk and protein in the morning, to emotional self inquiry, belief work, breathwork, grounding and intentional spiritual practice. About the Guest: Gabriela Popescu is a practitioner who bridges ancient wisdom with modern life, using the four body framework to help clients reclaim physical resilience, emotional literacy, mental clarity and spiritual connection. Raised in Romania and now living in the United States, she understands the impact of culture, family conditioning and fast paced environments on the nervous system. Her work focuses on practical, sustainable practices that people can actually integrate into busy lives, rather than chasing the next spiritual trend. Key Takeaways: Wholeness is not a single practice. Your physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies influence each other constantly, so working on only one creates limited results. Quick fix mentality is a trap. Society trains us to want pills, hacks and instant gratification, but real change in health and mindset comes from consistent lifestyle shifts, not shortcuts. Emotional avoidance is expensive. Many of us were taught to suppress anger, sadness or fear, and that suppression later shows up as burnout, anxiety, disconnection and physical symptoms. Beliefs formed between ages zero and seven silently steer adult life. Stories like “the world is not safe” or “I am only worthy if I achieve” must be examined and consciously updated. Simple daily actions work. Ten minutes of walking, starting the day with protein, five minutes of silence, basic breathwork and clear boundaries can reset the nervous system and create real momentum. Spiritual practice does not need to be complicated. Intention setting, grounding visualizations and mindful breath are enough to begin strengthening the spiritual body without adding pressure or perfectionism.   How Listeners Can Connect with Gabriela Popescu:   LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/gabriela-popescu-Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/gabrielasoulphoenix/Website: https://www.phoenixmedicine.me/ (follow her socials for updates)Work with Gabriella: Private coaching & Phoenix Medicine programs focused on the Four Bodies healing. Are Life Transitions Really Your Hero’s Journey In Disguise? with Dr. Jessie and Omar Ferreira
In this episode of Mind Over Matter, we unpack life transitions not as random chaos but as invitations into your own hero’s journey. Dr. Jessie from A Soul’s Quest (ASQ) shares how empty nest, identity loss and leaving a six-figure corporate role became catalysts for deep self-discovery instead of breakdown. She explains her “engine and dashboard” analogy. how core drives like belonging and purpose power our lives while emotions show up as warning lights we usually ignore. Through the PEP framework (Perspective, Experience, Philosophy), she lays out a practical way to pause, reframe your story and respond instead of freeze when everything familiar falls away. If you’re feeling untethered by career changes, parenting shifts or spiritual burnout, this conversation gives you grounded language and tools to recognize your call to adventure and step into the next chapter with intention. About the Guest  : Dr. Jessie is a psychospritual guide, educator and co-creator of A Soul’s Quest (ASQ) and ASQ Empowerment Services. Drawing on research, lived experience and the hero’s journey, she helps people move through major life transitions. from toxic workplaces and identity loss to empty nest and reinvention. Her work focuses on core drives, emotional awareness and building a philosophy of life rooted in authentic belonging and self-trust. Key Takeaways: Empty nest and other life transitions can trigger a loss of purpose. but they’re often signals that your core drives for belonging, meaning and contribution are ready to evolve. Core drives are like the “engine” of your life, while emotions act as dashboard lights. when you feel loneliness, shame or depletion, it’s data, not a verdict on your worth. The PEP framework helps you navigate disruption. Perspective (step back), Experience (ask “what can I learn” instead of “why me”), and Philosophy (decide how you’ll now show up in life). The hero’s journey shows up in real life as a call to adventure. for Dr. Jessie, that meant leaving a well-paid but toxic corporate job to fully commit to A Soul’s Quest. Daily anchoring practices like having a dedicated reflection space, journaling honestly and speaking to your inner child with grace help you stay grounded during emotional and spiritual depletion. How Listeners Can Connect with the Guest   Search for “A Soul’s Quest Podcast” (ASQ) on your favorite podcast platform to hear more of Dr. Jessie and Omar’s teachings on the hero’s journey and conscious transitions. Look for “A Soul’s Quest” and “ASQ Empowerment Services” on social platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube) and website to learn about their group guiding, empowerment work and community offerings. How Do You Attract Clients Through Authentic Purpose And Values Based Growth. With Peter Kolat
In this episode of Mind Over Matter, we sit down with international best selling author and transformation coach Peter Kolat to unpack what it really means to build a purpose aligned business that does not sell out your values. Peter shares how childhood patterns, immigration, divorce, and scarcity thinking shaped his identity and how reclaiming authenticity helped him attract clients without pretending, forcing, or “faking it till you make it”.If you are an entrepreneur, coach, or creator who feels like you are working hard but still not seeing aligned clients or sustainable growth, this conversation cuts through the noise. You will hear how to spot hidden blind agreements, shift from scarcity to abundance, listen to your inner nudge, and use your own story as the foundation for clear messaging, client attraction, and grounded expansion About The Guest:Peter Kolat is an international best selling author, transformation coach, and mentor for purpose driven entrepreneurs and coaches. Born in communist Poland and later immigrating to the United States, Peter rebuilt his life and identity through hardship, divorce, and reinvention. Today he helps leaders uncover their authentic purpose, release old people pleasing and scarcity based patterns, and align their message, mindset, and strategy so they can attract clients naturally while staying true to their faith and values. Key Takeaways: Authentic purpose is less about what you do and more about how you are being. Peter invites listeners to reconnect with their childlike qualities. curiosity, fearlessness, openness, and love. instead of building a brand on performance and masks. Blind agreements or limiting beliefs like “I must always look good” or “people get angry when I step out” quietly block sales calls, visibility, and client attraction. Naming and releasing these patterns frees you to show up fully online and offline. Scarcity mindset keeps entrepreneurs stuck in “never enough”. money, time, status, validation. shifting to an abundance lens opens doors to new relationships, opportunities, and revenue streams without constant hustle. Curiosity is a lost but essential skill. Being genuinely curious about clients, loved ones, and your own behavior creates deeper relationships, better coaching, and more aligned business decisions. Hard seasons. divorce, burnout, financial struggle. can become the most powerful growth chapters when you ask “How is this happening for me”. rather than “Why is this happening to me”. Sustainable business growth starts with the mind, not tactics. Once mindset and beliefs are aligned, messaging and strategy become simple, clear, and much easier to execute across platforms like YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. How To Connect With Peter Kolat:You can connect with Peter Kolat through his website and social media channels, where he shares content on authentic purpose, mindset, faith based growth, and client attraction. Are You Building Your Identity On Purpose Or By Default With Leah Coss?
In this episode of Mind Over Matter from the Healthy Mind By Avik™ network, host Aanya sits down with keynote speaker and identity strategist Leah Coss, CEO and Co-Founder of Build a Biz Kids, to unpack what it really means to build your identity on purpose instead of by default. Leah breaks down identity as your real internal operating system. not just mindset hacks or positive thinking. She explains how default programming from childhood, trauma, school, media and family expectations quietly shapes your reactions, relationships, money patterns, health and career. Through real talk on self sabotage, toxic cycles, weight loss, lottery winners, and “comfortable” unhappiness, Leah shows how to spot when your current identity no longer matches the life you say you want. She then shares a practical emotional pathway to shift from depression, numbness and overwhelm into relief, hope, gratitude and self leadership in minutes, so you can actually hold the success, love and well being you are asking for. If you feel stuck in the same story or keep recreating the same results, this conversation will help you see identity as your most powerful lever for sustainable change.   About the Guest:   Leah Coss is a Keynote Speaker, Identity Strategist, and CEO & Co-Founder of Build a Biz Kids, a national charity helping thousands of youth build strong self worth, emotional resilience and future ready skills through real world learning. She works with adults and organizations to shift outdated survival based identities into aligned, intentional ones, so people can live, lead and perform as the version of themselves they actually admire.   Key Takeaways: Identity is your internal operating system, not just mindset. it drives how you think when you are alone, how you react when triggered, and the energy you bring into every room. Most people run on default identity formed in childhood by parents, teachers, media, culture and trauma, rather than a self chosen identity aligned with who they want to become. You can feel “successful” on paper and still feel empty or detached if your inner identity has not evolved with your outer life. that misalignment often shows up as anxiety, numbness or self sabotage. Weight loss, lottery wins or “perfect” relationships often collapse when identity does not match the new reality. the subconscious pulls you back to what feels familiar, even if it was painful. Signs it is time to shift identity include toxic relationships on repeat, constant conflict, hating your job, living paycheck to paycheck, or feeling chronically unseen and misunderstood. Lasting change starts with the question “Who do I need to be to hold what I want?” followed by daily behaviour that matches that future version of you. Leah shares an emotional pathway that moves you step by step from depression and heaviness into movement, relief, boredom, calm, hope, belief and finally gratitude and appreciation. The core superpower is emotional self responsibility. choosing your state instead of letting other people, social media or circumstances dictate how you feel and who you are.   How Listeners Can Connect With Leah Coss  : Website: https://www.leahcoss.com LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/leahcoss/ Build a Biz Kids. https://buildabizkids.com Instagram | Facebook | YouTube | LinkedIn   Follow Leah’s work if you want support in rebuilding identity, increasing emotional resilience and helping the next generation grow up with self led identities instead of survival based programming.   Be A Guest On Healthy Mind, Healthy Life   Want to be a guest on Healthy Mind, Healthy Life? Shifting Perspective: Finding Miracles in Life’s Hardest Moments with Cyndee Dhalai
In this deeply moving episode of Mind Over Matter, host Aanya sits down with poet, writer, and resilience embodiment Cyndee Dhalai. Cyndee shares her extraordinary journey — from decades in special education, to becoming a medical enigma with no treatment options, losing her independence, becoming a widow, and miraculously regaining the ability to walk after years in a wheelchair. What emerges is a masterclass in perspective: how to choose how we see our lives, even when everything falls apart. Key Takeaways Perspective is a choice: “We live life looking forward, but we learn by looking back.” Shifting how you see a situation — even slightly — can change everything. Never ask “Why me?” Instead ask: “What can I learn from this? How can I grow through this?” Miracles and magic are everywhere — in a baby’s laugh, in the sky’s changing colors, in the simple fact that you woke up breathing today. We are human beings, not human doings. Society trains the wonder out of us, but we can reclaim it by noticing the ordinary miracles again. Roles (teacher, mother, patient, widow) do not define you. Beneath every label is a core self that remains unbroken. When external help fails (like Cyndee’s allergy to all medications), inner resources — faith, hope, and radical self-permission — become your lifeline. “If you accept that struggle is all your life will ever be, then that’s all it will be.” Hope is not passive; it’s an active decision you make every day. Even confinement in a wheelchair has advantages — Cyndee discovered patience, deeper listening, creativity (sewing, cooking, writing poetry), and a richer inner world. You don’t need to compare your chapter 5 to someone else’s chapter 50. There is only one you — and that alone is a miracle. Most Powerful Quotes from Cyndee Dhalai “I never once asked ‘Why did this happen to me?’ I asked, ‘What can I do with it?’” “You were born with wonder. Look at yourself in the mirror — YOU are a wonder.” “Give yourself permission to hope, to dream, and to try — because nobody else can do that for you.” “The grass may look greener on the other side, but I’m standing here, and I’ve come this far.” Connect with Cyndee DhalaiCyndee is currently writing poetry and prose that chronicle her journey of healing and rediscovery. Mind Over Matter
How Do You Rise From Rock Bottom And Lead A High Impact Comeback? with Joe Rivera
In this Mind Over Matter episode, we get real about rock bottom, relapse risk and what a true comeback actually takes. High performance coach and “Comeback King” Joe Rivera walks through his journey from Park Avenue stockbroker to park bench, overdose and spiritual bankruptcy, then into long term sobriety, purpose led leadership and a rebuilt life. Joe unpacks how ego, hustle culture and “never enough” thinking fuel addiction and burnout, why putting the drugs or alcohol down is only step one and how identity work, core values and community support create a sustainable comeback. This is a straight talking masterclass in resilience, high performance mindset and faith driven reinvention for founders, leaders and high achievers who quietly feel like they are losing themselves behind the highlight reel. About the Guest : Joe Rivera is a high performance coach, speaker and founder of Reforge Academy. Known as “The Comeback King,” he went from seven figure Wall Street producer to addiction, overdoses and rock bottom before rebuilding his life through sobriety, spiritual growth and ruthless self honesty. Today he helps leaders and entrepreneurs break through stagnation, rewire limiting beliefs, upgrade their identity and lead from purpose instead of ego. Key Takeaways : Resilience is not a slogan. Joe’s story from Park Avenue to park bench shows that real resilience starts when you are sick of your own excuses and finally decide you cannot do it alone. Addiction is rarely about the substance. It is about the belief system of “never enough,” spiritual emptiness and using drugs, alcohol, work, sex, shopping or food to numb shame and avoid sitting with yourself. Sobriety is more than quitting. The real work is moral inventory, peeling back the onion, owning the damage you caused, forgiving yourself and consciously building a new identity that matches the legacy you actually want. Your environment is strategy. Who you walk with shapes who you become, so upgrading your circle, joining hard truth communities and borrowing belief from others can literally save your life and career. Ego kills comebacks. Leaders stay stuck when they avoid asking for help or entering rooms where they are not the alpha. Dropping the mask, surrendering control and letting others support you is a performance advantage. Your story is not just yours. Turning pain into service, sharing the messy middle and using your journey to create impact is how you turn survival into legacy and build a comeback that actually lasts. Is Your Soul Blueprint The Key To Breaking Free From Old Patterns with Alexander & Viki
In this Mind Over Matter episode we go straight into the unseen architecture of your life. Sacred strategy guides Alexander and Viki break down The Source Cards system, a spiritual blueprint hidden in the regular deck of 52 playing cards. They share how each birth date maps to specific cards that reveal your soul path, patterns, gifts, shadow, relationships and even how you meet abundance. Alexander walks us through his global search for meaning across religion, Harvard, Wall Street, psychedelics, India and plant medicine. The breakthrough came when he discovered he was born to play the Nine of Hearts. Suddenly every chapter of his story clicked. Vicki then shows how understanding her own cards helped her stop overworking in harsh masculine energy and reclaim a softer balanced way to lead and live. If you are a high achiever who looks successful on paper yet still feels stuck or disconnected from purpose this conversation will give you a practical and mystical framework to realign your life for real.   About the Guests  : Alexander and Viki are sacred strategy guides and co creators of The Source Cards, a system that uses the 52 card deck as a precise map of the soul. They help leaders, seekers and everyday humans decode their soul blueprint, understand repeating patterns and play their cards in a way that feels aligned, joyful and free.   Key Takeaways  : Your date of birth maps to specific Source Cards that show your innate gifts, lessons, shadows, relationship patterns and path to abundance. When you ignore or resist your blueprint life often feels like constant friction, struggle and lack of fulfillment even if you look successful on paper. Awareness of your recurring patterns is the first practical step to realignment, not self blame. You cannot change what you refuse to see. Many high performers are actually playing other people’s cards, living out family expectations and cultural scripts instead of their own authentic design. The deck reflects both daily collective energies and your lifelong path, which lets you respond with conscious choice rather than a victim mindset. Balancing inner masculine and feminine energy is critical. Overuse of harsh doing energy leads to burnout, while integrating nurturing presence restores harmony. Following your highest excitement will inevitably ask you to face your greatest fears. Real freedom comes from remembering who you are, then acting from that truth.   How To Connect With The Guests  : Website: https://www.thesourcecards.comBook: Play Your Cards Right (available through their website)Programs: Card lookups, classes, life audits, certification, and executive coaching.     Want to be a guest on Healthy Mind, Healthy Life? Mind Over Matter
How Do Mindset and Emotions Shape Healing at a Cellular Level? With Dr. Julius Torelli
This Mind Over Matter episode drills into the real science behind healing. No fluff. No spiritual bypassing. Just the hard truth about how thoughts, emotions and beliefs shape physiology, immunity and long-term health. Cardiologist Dr. Julius Torelli breaks down 40 years of clinical experience to show how “medically unexplained symptoms” aren’t actually unexplained. They’re often emotional overload in disguise. From gratitude to cognitive reframing to the biology of fear, this conversation dismantles the old-school model of medicine and makes a compelling case for integrating emotional, behavioral and spiritual layers into modern healthcare. About the Guest  : Dr. Julius Torelli is a visionary cardiologist with nearly four decades of bridging conventional medicine with emotional, behavioral and spiritual dimensions of healing. His work focuses on the physiology of emotions, the neuroscience of stress, and intentional gratitude as a therapeutic pathway. Key Takeaways: Physical symptoms often have emotional origins, even when diagnostic tests show nothing. “Medically unexplained symptoms” like headaches, fatigue or chest pain are frequently linked to emotional overwhelm. Thoughts alone can alter blood pressure, pulse, hormones and neurochemistry in seconds. Chronic fear, anxiety or stress can dysregulate the immune system and cardiovascular function. Western medicine over-prioritizes the physical body and underestimates emotional, cultural, social and spiritual health. Emotional overload behaves like a physiologic disruptor, especially during life shocks such as loss, trauma or crisis. Supportive interventions like gratitude practice, reframing and cognitive behavioral tools show measurable health benefits. Patients must participate in their healing process instead of outsourcing full responsibility to doctors. Chronic diseases like type 2 diabetes require both medical treatment and lifestyle shifts. Healthcare should integrate spiritual and emotional layers without replacing life-saving interventions.   How to Connect with the Guest:   Learn more about Dr. Julius Torelli’s work and his book Holistic Health Pathways on his website and checking out his YouTube channel and Instagram   Be a Guest   Want to be a guest on Healthy Mind, Healthy Life? Mind Over Matter
Can healing past life patterns break today’s cycles? with Donna Hartley
On Mind Over Matter, host Anya sits down with Donna Hartley—international speaker, past-life reader, and author of the “Fire” trilogy—to unpack how unresolved patterns may echo across lifetimes and show up as recurring relationships, health issues, and stuck emotions. Donna shares a near-death experience from a DC-10 plane crash, three open-heart surgeries, and the inner work that helped her reframe pain as a path to evolution. We get practical on intuition, meditation, nutrition basics, nature therapy, and how to spot karmic loops (including family patterns) and close them with accountability and forgiveness.   About the guest  : Donna Hartley is a past-life reader, international keynote speaker, and author of a “Fire” trilogy. Her work blends storytelling with practical tools to help people identify and heal repeating life patterns.   Key takeaways: Past-life lens is a tool, not an escape: use it only to identify patterns you can heal now through honesty and action. Health patterns can mirror old emotional imprints; medical care plus inner work (forgiveness, truth-telling) can shift outcomes. Intuition is data: heavy heart, low energy, frequent illness, and persistent depression can signal misalignment. Minimum viable practice: meditate 20 minutes, three times a week; set a clear intention and allow answers through dreams or quiet time. Food is mood: track added sugar (5 g ≈ 1 tsp); lower junk intake to sharpen focus and leadership. Nature is a reset button: ground outside, breathe, move—especially when ruminating. Close karmic loops: identify the repeating denominator (often you), own it, and change the behavior. Saturn-return windows (~27–31, ~54–61, and later life) often force course-corrections—use them intentionally. Follow-through beats inspiration: calendar it, use checklists, and ask “Is this for my highest good?” before committing. Relationships from “other times” aren’t guarantees—test for equality, voice, and mutual growth in this life.   Connect with the guest:   Website: https://donnahartley.com/ Free resource: Guided ocean meditation on her homepage. Digital Detox & the “Business Athlete” Mindset: Boundaries, Focus, and Real Presence with Colin Corby
On Mind over matter, we get practical about digital well-being with Colin Corby—tech speaker, Digital Detox Coach, and mindset mentor. Colin explains how constant connectivity erodes attention, sleep, and creativity, and why leaders should treat performance like athletes do: train, recover, and set non-negotiable boundaries. Drawing on his own story—from stress and overwork to completing Iron-distance triathlons and swimming Lake Windermere (11 miles)—Colin shows how small, repeatable actions (not willpower) rebuild focus. We cover habit formation (think ~66 days), visualisation, environment design, and why the mere presence of a smartphone near your bed hurts sleep. We close with tangible micro-detoxes to reclaim presence at work and at home.   About the guest  : Colin Corby is a tech industry veteran turned Digital Detox & Mindset Coach. He helps professionals and teams protect attention, sleep, and creativity with clear tech boundaries and the “business athlete” approach to sustained performance.   Key takeaways: Performance = habits, not hacks. Train like an athlete: sleep, nutrition, movement, recovery, and clear goals drive better problem-solving and presentations. Boundaries create balance. Separate spaces for work/rest; add “phone-free” rules at meals and evenings; move the phone out of the bedroom—use a real alarm. Environment beats willpower. Reduce triggers: put the charger in another room, read a book at night, and pick offline spaces for focus blocks. Start tiny, compound slowly. Build change with small steps (10–15-minute offline breaks, walk to a different room, close your eyes to reset visual overload). Make it social. Enjoy online content together (share the fun, don’t scroll alone); be fully present with people in front of you. Mindset shift: business athlete. Self-care isn’t “soft”—it’s how leaders deliver under pressure. Treat sleep before big days as non-negotiable. Guard your skills in the AI era. Don’t outsource all thinking; keep writing, reading, and critical-thinking muscles active. Visualize the finish line. Use athlete-style visualization to stick with new routines for the long run (habits often need ~66 days).   Connect with the guest   Explore Colin’s resources, videos, and TEDx talk via the Digital Detox Coach website and YouTube channel.Requests or a specific resource you want from Colin? Mind Over Matter
Forgiveness That Sticks: A Step-by-Step System to Let Go (Without Letting Them Off the Hook) with Katharine Giovanni
On Mind Over Matter, we unpack the difference between saying “I forgive you” and actually clearing the anger that lingers. Katharine Giovanni—award-winning author, speaker, and forgiveness mentor—lays out a practical, repeatable method to move people from “unforgivable” to irrelevant in your mind. We cover myths about forgiveness (it’s not giving in, and it doesn’t require reconciling), why clearing the energy of the event matters, and how to work your list from easy hurts to the hard stuff—safely and sustainably. If you’ve tried to forgive and it never “sticks,” this is a direct, step-by-step playbook you can start tonight.   About the guest  : Katharine Giovanni is an international speaker, bestselling author, cancer survivor, and transformation mentor. A lifelong entrepreneur, she developed a structured forgiveness method used by professionals and individuals to release anger quickly and keep it from returning—by also forgiving the energy around the people, places, years, and objects tied to the memory.   Key takeaways: Forgiveness is for you. It’s not approval or reconciliation; it’s removing someone from your mental real estate so triggers stop and you regain focus. Work a written list, rated 1–10. Start with easy 1–3s (spills, traffic, small slights) and build capacity before approaching 8–10 “unforgivable” cases. One person at a time, in private. Visualize them (or use a chair/photo), say what you need to say, then close with: “I forgive <name>. I forgive the energy around <name>. I forgive myself and the energy around myself and this relationship.” Forgive the energy, not just the event. Clear associated places, objects, bystanders, years, cities, seasons—anything woven into the memory—so the charge can’t reattach. Expect the “closet to open.” If emotion spikes after a first pass, your brain likely surfaced new material. Re-rate, move it to the back of the list, and repeat 24 hours later. Set limits. No more than five releases per night. Fatigue or GI upset can be normal as the body processes stored stress; do sessions near bedtime. Neutral is the goal. Real forgiveness feels like indifference—you can see the name or person and not care. Relapses aren’t failures. If a forgiven “10” spikes later, it’s usually to a “5.” Re-work it and keep going.   How to connect with the guest   Website: https://www.katharinegiovanni.com/ Books: Search “Katharine Giovanni” on Amazon Instagram Programs: 10-day email class on forgiveness   Want to be a guest on Healthy Mind, Healthy Life? Mind Over Matter
Faith, Struggle, and the Power of Redemption — From Darkness to Purpose with Alex Horton
On this episode of Mind Over Matter, Alex Horton walks through a hard, honest journey from mental-health struggles and disconnection from faith to a grounded relationship with God. We unpack the slow, practical rebuilding of belief, how one verse (Romans 5:8) reframed his story, and what it looks like to wrestle with scripture, identity, and community without turning away from compassion. Direct, unvarnished, and applicable—this conversation centers daily disciplines, service, and integrity over platitudes.   About the guest  : Alex Horton is a theology/divinity student and emerging pastor whose work bridges personal testimony with scripture-based teaching. He’s writing a memoir about moving through depression and doubt toward purpose, and he focuses on simple daily practices—prayer, scripture study, and community care—that make faith livable.   Key takeaways: A turning point: reading Romans 5:8 reframed Alex’s lifelong question about love and worthiness into a clear conviction of being loved. Faith was rebuilt gradually: one small step at a time (a daily verse, short prayers, showing up for others) rather than a single dramatic event. Pain as preparation: struggles can cultivate skills and callings (e.g., early public-speaking practice later serving pastoral work). Practice over performance: missing a service isn’t the point; daily engagement with scripture and prayer keeps the relationship active. Community matters: faith is lived by engaging others—start with a smile, ask how someone is doing, and listen. Head and heart tension: scholarship will challenge assumptions; hold truth and compassion together while avoiding dehumanization. For those feeling distant: begin with one simple daily prayer—“God, show me something”—and take one service-oriented action. Resilience mindset: measure progress by how you rise after setbacks, not by perfection.   Healthy Mind By Avik™ is committed to the dignity and safety of LGBTQ+ people. Imagination Creates Reality: How to Move from Victimhood to Personal Power with Dylan Borland
On Mind Over Matter, host Aanya explores practical “conscious creation” with guest Dylan Borland. Dylan breaks down how imagination, emotion, and faith imprint the subconscious and show up as lived results—in career, health, relationships, and purpose. We cover the four pillars (awareness, remembering who you are, imagination, embodiment), why small “proofs” build confidence, and how to hold a short, sensory-rich scene of the wish fulfilled without getting derailed by outside noise. About the guest  : Dylan Borland is a teacher of conscious creation and founder of a school focused on inner transformation. He helps people shift from survival and self-doubt to alignment and self-leadership by training the subconscious through imagination and consistent practice. He’s authored a concise, 39-page self-experiment guide on conscious creation. Key takeaways: Outer world mirrors inner beliefs. What you repeatedly imagine with feeling and faith becomes the template your reality reflects. Four pillars: (1) Awareness of current beliefs, (2) Remember your creative agency, (3) Imagination as the mechanism of change, (4) Live/embody the new story. Use short “wish-fulfilled” scenes. Visualize a brief, vivid moment after the goal is achieved (e.g., a friend congratulating you). Engage all senses and the feeling of “already done.” Detach from the “how.” Hold the inner scene; don’t chase logistics. Consistency and emotional conviction shorten the delay to results. Protect your mindshare. Reduce inputs (news, naysayers) that contradict your new identity; solitude strengthens signal over noise. Start small to build evidence. Practice with tangible, low-stakes wins (parking spot, “ladder” exercise) to strengthen faith for bigger aims. Language programs identity. Replace loops like “I’m unlucky” with intentional “I am” statements that align with the desired self. Radical responsibility. Trading blame for ownership is uncomfortable—and the doorway to change. When setbacks hit, double down on faith. If results lag, look for lingering limiting beliefs and recommit to the inner scene. Health context. Mind Over Matter
How to Improve Your Habits When Life Gets Messy — Solution-Focused Change That Sticks with Glen Lubbert
On Mind over Matter, we cut through perfection culture to talk about habit change that actually survives chaos. Glen Lubbert, co-founder and CEO of Stamina Lab, explains why rigid, one-size-fits-all routines fail and how a solution-focused approach helps you move toward what you do want—using strengths you already have. From the “tell the cab driver where you’re going” metaphor to building momentum with tiny, flexible wins, this conversation shows how to stay consistent when schedules, travel, stress, and life disrupt your plans.   About the Guest  : Glen Lubbert is the co-founder and CEO of Stamina Lab, a health-tech company helping people build energy, focus, and resilience by activating inner resources—not shame or willpower. He blends evidence-based, solution-focused methods with practical behavior design to make change sustainable.   Key Takeaways: Define the destination: stop saying what you’ll avoid; describe what you want instead so your brain knows where to go. Use the “cab driver” rule: your plan works only when the goal is specific, sensory, and meaningful. Ask “What difference will that make?” until you reach intrinsic motives (sleep, energy, relationships, creative work). Progress over perfection: habits can be too rigid; design multiple paths to the same river so you can adapt on messy days. Travel/weekends/context changes? Swap in equivalents (walk stairs, add steps, hydrate) to keep identity consistent even when routines break. Evidence you’re not broken: look for exceptions and what kept you from going further off track (e.g., stopping at half the ice cream). Momentum comes from noticing small wins in real time; be your own detective for signs you’re already changing. Emotions drive behavior: minimize guilt/shame; reinforce agency by reflecting back what worked and doing more of that. Start now: after this episode, do one tiny action that signals the person you’re becoming (a glass of water, a 5-minute walk, a deep breath). Sustainable change = awareness + flexible strategy + trust in your inner resources, not more willpower.   Connect with the Guest   http://staminalab.io/ Best ways to reach Glen: LinkedIn | Instagram | YouTube   Want to be a guest on Healthy Mind, Healthy Life?
