Have you ever been forgotten by someone who should have remembered you? That awkward wave… the confused look… the quiet sting of rejection.
At Christmas, God chose to step into that exact reality — knowing He wouldn’t be recognized, knowing He’d be rejected — and He came anyway.
Why?
Because it brings God joy to seek after those who don’t recognize Him and to welcome us as sons and daughters.
This week’s message from John 1 reminds us:
✨ God sends a messenger
✨ God endures rejection
✨ God adopts us into His family
No matter how far you feel, no matter how many times you’ve walked away — the Father’s arms are still open and that is cause for great joy!
You can chase success, relationships, gifts, or approval… but nothing will ever be enough.
As Pastor Kevin said this morning, “We have a God-sized hole in us that we try to fill with many things, but the only thing that can actually fill and satisfy us is God Himself. And thankfully God’s not elusive; he’s not hard to find or evasive at all. That’s what the Christmas story is about – it’s about God coming to us, seeking us out, revealing himself so that we can have life that’s truly life – life in, with, and through Jesus."
Join us this morning as we look at the Advent of Peace in John 1:1-5.
Due to technical difficulties we were only able to record a portion of today's sermon.

Have you ever faced the consequences of your own choices and thought, “God must be done with me”?
Israel did too.
But their story in exile reminds us that even in our lowest moments, God’s mercy is still moving.
Join us for Best Story Ever: Hope in Exile — a message about consequences, redemption, and the God who never gives up.
Ever been excited for something — only to realize it didn’t fix what you hoped it would? Israel wanted a king to make life better. But what they discovered was that no human king could fix the brokenness inside. This week’s message from The Best Story Ever shows how their longing points us to the True King — the only one who can fix the brokenness.
What if the Ten Commandments weren’t meant to restrict you… but to restore you?
When God gave His law to Israel, it wasn’t a list of rules to crush them — it was a gift to form them. He was teaching His people how to live with Him and with one another in a way that leads to life, not bondage. The same God who freed Israel from Egypt still calls us to a life of freedom today.
Life can feel messy, confusing, even unfair… just like the middle of a story you can’t yet fully see. This week, we dive into God’s incredible plan to rescue His people from Egypt—and how the same God delivers us from our own captivity.
Listen to the full message and be reminded: Our God saves!
Our world feels heavy right now. Violence, division, and brokenness are everywhere—and it can make us wonder if God has forgotten His promises. But the story of Abraham reminds us: delay doesn’t mean derailment. God is still faithful. His plan is still unfolding. And there is hope even when everything looks hopeless.

The world is broken — shame, pain, and evil are everywhere. But that’s not how the story began. And it’s not how the story ends.
Could God really awaken an entire region? In Acts 9, the transformation of one man spread so far and wide that whole towns placed their faith in Jesus.
What happened then shows us that regional awakening is possible when God’s people live with vision and bold faith. What if God did the same thing in Plattsburgh and the North Country today?
Catch today’s message in our Greater Things series and let’s dream together about what Jesus can do in and through us.
In Luke 10, Martha was busy while Mary was still.
In John 11, Martha ran to Jesus while Mary stayed back in her grief.
Two sisters. Two different responses. Same invitation.
Jesus gently shows them — and us — that there’s always a next step. Sometimes it looks like slowing down, sometimes like drawing near in our pain, sometimes like serving with worship in our hearts.
The point? Disciples move deeper.
Not by doing everything right, but by taking the next step with Jesus.
Last week, we declared that Jesus transforms everything. This week, we’re reminded of the other half of that truth: When Jesus changes your life, it’s not just for you—it’s for the world around you.
In Mark 5, we meet a man who is lost, tortured, and without hope. But one encounter with Jesus changes everything. And instead of letting him stay by His side, Jesus sends him out to share his story—because found people find people.
This isn’t just his story. It’s ours too.
You don’t have to have all the answers. You just need to share what Jesus has done for you—because your story might be the spark that changes someone else’s eternity.
Have you ever felt stuck—like nothing is ever going to change?
Maybe you've prayed, cried out, begged God… but you're still waiting. Still hurting. Still wondering if breakthrough is even possible.
This week’s message is a reminder that Jesus still transforms everything.
He’s not done. He’s not distant. He’s still working — in your life, in your family, in our community, and in the world.
We all mess up. We’ve all lost our way at some point — whether it’s fear, pride, or regret holding us back. And no amount of tough love or self-improvement can fix it.
But what if change doesn’t start with trying harder… but with turning back to the One who can actually restore us?
Jesus offers a different way — not with condemnation, but with compassion. With grace that meets you exactly where you are.
No matter how far you’ve drifted — you’re never too far to come back.

We all try to run our lives—only to find ourselves more frustrated, more exhausted, and more empty. But what if the secret to truly living isn’t found in doing more, being better, or trying harder… but in dying?
In John 12, Jesus shows us that the way to life is through surrender. It’s not about self-fulfillment. It’s not about self-actualization. It’s about crucifying the self and clinging to Jesus Only.
Listen to today's sermon now and be challenged to step off the throne and say with full allegiance: Jesus Only is my Lord and my God.
