Life as a single mom in recovery isn’t easy—but you don’t have to walk it alone.
Do you feel invisible sometimes, like no one really sees the real you?
Are you exhausted from holding it all together for everyone else while your own heart feels heavy and worn?
Have you ever questioned if God could still use you, or if peace and joy are even possible after all you’ve been through?
You’re not alone, mama. I see your struggle, your courage, and your longing for something more. I know the pain of loss, the weight of shame, and the loneliness of walking a path that feels impossible. And I also know the relief that comes when someone finally reminds you—it’s okay to be hurting, it’s okay to ask for help, and your story isn’t over yet.
I’m Richelle Braybrook, a wife and a mom—though my journey looks a little different. My children were adopted, and while we live apart, they remain my “why.” I’ve walked through mental health struggles, addiction, deep loss, and moments where I questioned my worth and purpose. But God met me in the middle of my pain and showed me I wasn’t a victim—I was a victor. And He can do the same for you.
Single Moms In Recovery is for women like you: single moms who are tired of just surviving, who long to feel understood, and who want to rebuild their lives with hope and strength. Each episode, we’ll talk about real struggles—mental health, addiction, forgiveness, identity, and faith—while offering practical tools, encouragement, and ways to find stability through a relationship with Jesus.
If you’re ready to stop surviving and start healing—if you’re ready to trade your pain for peace and your shame for strength—welcome. This is your safe space.

I want to hear your story, pray with you, and remind you that you are loved, chosen, and never forgotten.
In this episode, we talk about why saying no feels so hard — especially for women who’ve lived through trauma, addiction, or unstable relationships. We unpack where guilt really comes from, how boundaries are tied to self-worth, and why protecting your peace doesn’t make you selfish.
This is an honest, grounded conversation about learning to set boundaries without losing your softness, your kindness, or your faith. We also walk through real-life boundary examples with family, ex-partners, friends, church spaces, and even with yourself.
If you’re tired of people-pleasing, over-explaining, and carrying everyone else’s emotions, this episode is for you.
In this episode, you’ll learn:
Why boundaries can feel unsafe and triggering
Where guilt shows up when you start saying no
How boundaries support healing and recovery
What healthy boundaries look like in real life
How to protect your peace without shutting people out

If you’ve ever felt exhausted from trying so hard to change, this episode is for you. Today, I’m sharing why recovery isn’t about willpower or being stronger — it’s about surrender. The kind of surrender that happens in the middle of the mess, not after you’ve got it all together.
I share a raw part of my own story and the moment I realized I couldn’t save myself. We talk about what surrender actually looks like in real life, how to get through triggers without white-knuckling, and how small moments with God can completely change the direction of your healing.
If you’ve been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or discouraged — you’re not alone. And you’re not broken.

Hey Friend!
Today’s episode was recorded from a raw and vulnerable place.I wasn’t okay when I sat down to hit record — and I didn’t try to hide it.A simple question about my kids brought up a lot of anger, grief, and truth I’ve been carrying for a long time.
In this episode, I talk honestly about what it feels like to face those moments, why it hit so hard today, and how we keep moving forward even when we’re hurting.
This isn’t polished or scripted — it’s real life, real pain, and real healing.
If you’re walking through something heavy too, I want you to know you’re not alone. We’ll get through these days together.

Hi friend!
Ever feel like you’re doing everything right in recovery but still not moving forward? You’re sober, but not really free. In this episode, we get real about why that happens — and what keeps us feeling stuck even when we’re trying our hardest. I share the truth I had to face: I was trying to do it all alone.
If you’ve been white-knuckling your way through healing, this one’s for you. Together we’ll talk about what happens when we finally stop fighting in our own strength and let God step in. Because peace doesn’t show up when we’ve got it all together — it starts when we let go.

I want to hear your story, pray with you, and remind you that you are loved, chosen, and never forgotten.
Hi friend!
Have you ever smiled through the pain — pretending you’re okay when you’re falling apart inside?Do you ever wonder if God could still love you after everything you’ve been through?Have you lost so much that you’re not sure who you are anymore… or if there’s still hope for you?
In this powerful and deeply personal first episode, I open up about my journey — from addiction and mental illness to losing my children and hitting rock bottom.I share the real and raw truth of what it felt like to live behind a mask, to numb my pain with alcohol, and to spend years in and out of psych wards — searching for peace I couldn’t find.
But this isn’t a story about staying broken. It’s about redemption.
It’s about how God met me right in the middle of my darkest moments — when I thought He had given up on me — and began to rebuild me piece by piece. This episode is the heartbeat behind Single Moms in Recovery. It’s not polished, it’s not perfect… but it’s real. And it’s a reminder that no matter how far gone you feel, God can still use your story for something beautiful.

Friend, I get it.
In this episode, I’m sharing how I came to know Jesus in my late 30s — after years of pain, loss, and self-destruction — and how I learned that my brokenness wasn’t the end of my story, it was the beginning of becoming new. We’ll talk about what it means to rebuild from the inside out, how God uses every painful part for purpose, and why you are never too late or too far gone for His love.
This episode is for the woman who feels unworthy, unseen, or unsure of her faith.Whether you’ve known God for years or you’re just beginning to wonder if He’s real — you belong here.
Because the truth is…you’re not broken. You’re becoming new.
