Today I’m excited to share an interview with my dear friend Natalie Super who is a dating coach. As I mentioned in recent episode at the beginning of the year I went through a breakup and I decided to take at least 6 months to not even think about dating and just focus on myself. So that was in February and I realized recently wow in August it will have been 6 months so when Natalie reached out about wanting to have a conversation on the podcast it was perfect because it gave me a chance to kind of talk through what I’ve been thinking and feeling about dating and dig into some my patterns that I don’t really want to repeat and just get her perspective. We ended up talking a lot about building not only your confidence but your magnetism, knowing your worth embracing your feminine energy, avoiding situationships and so much more. The conversation was super fun and I am sure will be useful to any single women who are listening who are on a similar journey. She also makes a really generous offer at the end which you won’t want to miss if you are also looking for some guidance in your dating life!

In this episode I share a fun and effective moving meditation practice called shaking meditation. This is a little bit different than meditations you may be used to because we'll be standing up and moving our bodies. This practice is really great for moving anything that has been kind of stuck in the body and releasing tension. For today's meditation, I've customized it specifically for creatives who are experiencing a creative block or someone who is wanting to access more creative flow in their life.
With that in mind, you can set your own intention for the practice if that doesn't really resonate with you.
But the intention I'll offer today is I release any stuck energy or blockages and open myself up to a greater flow of creativity.

About the Episode
Today I’m excited to share a conversation with my friend and fellow designer Jonny Ashcroft about all things flow state! Jonny has done a ton of research and training around the topic so I really wanted to pick his brain about the practical ways that we as creatives can access the flow state like reliably and consistently to use it as part of our creative process. He not only shared some great tips that I’ve already been able to put into practice but he also talks about the science behind what is happening in the brain when a person goes into a flow state which was super interesting because it kind of reminded me of what I learned recently in my meditation teacher training about what happens to the brain when it’s in a state of meditation. You know from this podcast I’m very interested in the connection between creativity and mindfulness so this conversation really helped connect some dots of me and maybe it’ll do the same for you. Can you tell I’m excited about this one? Yeah it’s good! Let’s get into the episode and take listen!

In this episode I share a guided meditation practice we will use for the purposes of manifesting your dream life. Manifesting might feel like a bit of a loaded word, but it's actually something you are doing all the time, whether you're aware of it or not.
It's basically what you are creating or cultivating in your life. Sometimes you're doing it intentionally, and sometimes not so intentional. But today, we are going to be very intentional.
If you're a spiritual person, you can also think about it as a co collaboration between you and the universe or God or source or whatever it is that you connect to the most, something that is outside of yourself when you need a little bit of help.
We'll be using specific style of meditation that involves focusing on the core feeling you're wanting to feel the most in your life, then doing some future self visualization and finally getting into the five senses to show your mind that this thing you're wanting to feel and create in your life is very, very possible.
On top of sharing the practice I also share a story about how using a similar meditation practice completely changed the course of my life in 2019.

About the Episode
Today I am excited to share a conversation with Shawn Bradford all about a form of guided meditation that has been massively impactful to me called Yoga Nidra.
I originally found Shawn’s Yoga Nidra Meditation class at a yoga studio in Phoenix in 2018 after I had gone through an extremely traumatic event and I had completely stopped sleeping. Not being able to sleep for me was causing panic attacks, destroying my immune system, taking away my ability to drive, and so much more. I tried so many different things to try to get some rest but wasn’t having a lot of luck and then I remembered this yoga nidra meditation class I had been to in the past and how one of the benefits was supposed tobe helping you get better sleep. So I thought I’ll give that a shot and I just remember that night after that first class I was actually able to sleep. I wasn’t sure if it was a coincidence or if it was working but I decided to keep coming and I continued to get better sleep each time and then I noticed I also started to have some big perceptive shifts. Things would happen that I would feel like this situation should be harder than it is but I strangely feel a peace about it. Then I remembered in nidra one of the intentions I had been working with was I am peace. Peace was something I didn’t have for so long and finally I felt it. I had it. I was embodying it and it was in big part because of the nidra.
We get a lot more into detail about how yoga nidra works and it’s benefits in this episode but if you are someone who struggles with insomnia you have to listen to this episode. Also, if you are someone who is trying to make some perspective shifts and shed some limiting beliefs to make change in your life please keep listening and finally if you are simply someone who is curious about meditation and have goals around trying it for the first time or making it a regular practice, this one’s for you!

Today I’m sharing a conversation I had with Kiyoshi who is a musician, spoken word poet and transformational rap coach. This means on top of being a performer he also teaches people how to use their voice through rap, vocal activation and spoken word poetry for both creative expression and personal empowerment. Some of the things we get into are what flow state feels like for him when he’s free styling, the question of if just anyone can be an artist or musician, what his creative process looks like, why music and art are so valuable in the world, and so much more.

Happy New Year! 🎉
Hello and welcome to the Stepping into Your Magic Podcast! I’m your host Tiffany Egbert. I am an artist, yogi, and mama originally from the Sonoran desert but currently living in the lush jungles of Ubud Bali. On this podcast I’ll be sharing a collection of inspiring stories of people who are bringing so much beauty and magic to the world as well as tools to get you living your most empowered, magnetic, authentically you life. We’ll be talking a lot about mindset and mindfulness practices like meditation and breathwork. We’ll also be talking about getting into the flow, moving past imposter syndrome, manifestation and so much more.
I started this podcast because even after years of making art and creating things sometimes I need a pep talk to remember the magic that is inside me. Sometimes I forget about it and I doubt myself and it stops me from bringing the beauty I know I’m meant to bring into the world. I don’t want to be in that place and I don’t want you to be either.
So let’s go on this journey of inspiration and moving forward into the full potential of who we are together!
