Shannon Dunn-Downing is a pioneer. She was an early halfpipe rider who pushed the limits of women's snowboarding constantly. She was the first American woman to win a snowboarding medal at the Winter Olympics when she took bronze in the halfpipe in 1998. There's no doubt that documented history is essential for progression. Mia Lambson is here to prove that. Sam Anderson had some of our favorite footage come out last year.
