Who Has He Called You to Serve: Understanding Your Dream Client Better | Ep. 027
Are you struggling with finding the perfect client for your business? Do you have a service to offer, but aren’t sure who may need it? On today’s episode of The Christ-Driven Woman, Charisse continues her October business series by giving practical advice on how to target your business’s dream client. She reminds listeners that when you are speaking too broadly, to too many people, you won’t be able to access your perfect client and will thus be talking to no one. If you are bold in calling out the needs of your dream customer, you’ll be able to attract the right people and repel the wrong ones who don’t need what you have to offer. To find the right people, you need to know exactly how they think, so Charisse suggests asking yourself the following questions about your client:   What is the main problem they are facing? What are five issues that are caused by that main problem? How do those five issues make them feel? Why do the thoughts and issues caused by the main problem need to be fixed?   When you find the answers to these four questions, you’ll be able to verbalize the things that your clients are thinking about, but not talking about. At that point, those clients will feel understood and naturally resonate with you, and they'll seek your product or service for a solution. According to what Charisse has experienced, 90 percent of the time your dream client is a younger version of yourself — someone who has not yet found the answers to the problems she’s facing. So who does your heart go out to? Who has God called you to serve? And how are you going to make sure you reach those that God has called you to?  Connect with Charisse through the resources below!   Charisse’s Personal Site https://www.charisseburton.com   Facebook https://m.facebook.com/charisseburtoncoach   Instagram https://www.instagram.com/charisse_burton?igsh=MWw5emh0M29sZXlwZA==   YouTube https://www.youtube.com/@charisseburtoncoach   Patreon https://www.patreon.com/thechristdrivenwoman

The Christ Driven Woman Podcast
GOD Is Not Your CEO | Ep. 026
Do you ever wonder what role God should play in your career or business? On today’s episode of The Christ-Driven Woman, Charisse explains why God is not your “CEO,” and why seeing Him as such may actually be deterring your success. It can be difficult for Christian women to believe that God created them for success and prosperity, maybe because they aren’t sure what that looks like, or they’ve experienced a recent failure or redirection that’s made them doubtful. And yet the Bible is clear that the Lord created us for good, and that He hopes to see us prosper (see Jeremiah 29:11, Ephesians 2:10, and Hebrews 13:20-21). While we should always seek direction from God, Charisse believes that we shouldn’t consider Him our CEO. In the life of a Christian, the term “CEO” should stand for “Christ’s Elevated Officer,” and it is a title that we should be claiming. Why is it important that Christ followers see themselves as “CEOs?”    You are Christ’s chosen, appointed servant who has the power to lead by the authority that He has given you God has given you the ability and the authority to serve others, and when we don’t step into that authority, we will only hold ourselves back  Your business will never outgrow your belief, so you must believe that God has granted you the leadership and wisdom to achieve success Claiming the title of CEO makes the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit our “Board of Directors,” whom we meet with and consult as we step into our calling    You may be feeling anxious or fearful of stepping into a new place of leadership, maybe because it’s hard to believe that God has called and equipped you for big things. Charisse encourages listeners to find Scripture that will anchor you to the truth and remind you of the strength you have in Jesus. Ephesians 2:10 tells us that we are God’s handiwork, created for good works, so don’t bury the beautiful gifts that God has given you. How Do You Bring JESUS Into Your Career? | Episode. 025
Have you gotten into a habit of compartmentalizing your career apart from your walk with Christ? On today’s episode of The Christ-Driven Woman, Charisse discusses the importance of bringing Christ into your business, and offers practical advice on how to do so. Oftentimes it can be easy for Christ-followers to keep their faith and their career separate, especially when your career may not be overtly ministry-related. Yet Charisse reminds listeners that God is involved in every area of our lives, and as Christians, the work that we do should reflect that. She provides three specific areas in which Christian business owners and employees can better integrate their faith into their work:   Prayer — Inviting God into your work on a daily basis, asking Him to direct your steps and lead you in the way that He wants to use you  Listening — Finding quiet times to listen for the Lord’s prompting, and spending enough time in the Word to distinguish His voice from any other noise No compartmentalizing — Remembering that God is in everything, and when we commit everything to Him, He will establish our plans (see Proverbs 16:3)   If someone looked at your business or your everyday work, would they know what you stand for? Would they know Who you stand for? Being a Christian is not just showing up to service on Sundays, but inviting the Lord into every area of your life, asking Him to direct you and then listening for His calling. We were designed to do good works, but be sure not to let the demands of your earthly work distract you from the work that must be done for the Kingdom. Deepening the Connection with Guest Dr. Jodi Solberg | Ep. 023
Is your current cycle of thinking preventing you from being the best you can be? On today’s episode of The Christ-Driven Woman, Charisse is joined by Dr. Jodi Solberg, a wellness coach and master hypnotherapist with a doctorate in Christian Counseling. Dr. Solberg is also the founder of Psyched Up Success and a strong advocate for trauma recovery and prevention. Charisse and Dr. Solberg discuss the importance of self-reflection and mental health, and highlight the following points: God designed us with the need for rest and reflection, and neglecting this can be detrimental to our growth and flourishing Each one of us has the ability to renew our mind and break cycles of generational trauma — you do not have to feel trapped within your inherent patterns of thinking Creating a new neural pathway is like forging a new trail, beating down the weeds that are standing in your way  Just because you are a Christian and have the Holy Spirit living within you does not mean that you can’t seek support for your mental health God’s power is made perfect in weakness, when we realize that we can’t go through life alone (2 Corinthians 12:9) The human mind is a beautiful and perplexing creation that is constantly changing and seeking growth. Dr. Solberg reminds listeners that you have more control over your mind and your subconscious than you believe. The trauma that you may be carrying from experiences in childhood or in adulthood does not need to be a detriment or a focus of shame. You have the ability to make a difference within your own mind, which will then positively affect your present reality and future generations.   To connect with Dr. Jodie Solberg and find out more about her work, check out:    Jodie’s Personal Site https://www.psychedupsuccess.com/   Facebook https://www.facebook.com/psychedupsuccess/   Instagram https://www.instagram.com/psyched_up_success/ Connect with Charisse through the resources below!   Charisse’s Personal Site https://www.charisseburton.com   Facebook https://m.facebook.com/charisseburtoncoach   Instagram https://www.instagram.com/charisse_burton?igsh=MWw5emh0M29sZXlwZA==   YouTube https://www.youtube.com/@charisseburtoncoach   Patreon https://www.patreon.com/thechristdrivenwoman

Pressure Activates Purpose with Guest Dr. Dionne Greaves | Ep. 022
On today’s episode of The Christ-Driven Woman, Charisse is joined by Dr. Dionne Greaves, a business lifestyle strategist and founder of The Mompreneur CEO. Dr. Greaves believes she has been called to support and encourage high-achieving women as they navigate life’s challenges and transitions, and she is driven by a mission to redefine success. Charisse and Dr. Greaves engage in an inspiring conversation about success, authenticity, and reliance on God, and they highlight the following points:   Self-discovery is an ongoing process, and requires patience and compassion When you are feeling pressure in your life, that is not the time for you to pull back, but to push through  You will not be able to serve others well without doing the inner work and showing up for yourself first  When you start by surrendering to God in the little things, it makes it that much easier to surrender to Him in the big things The Lord wants to hear from you in the midst of your struggles, but He also needs you to listen    Many high-achieving women lack the support systems and safe spaces they need because they’ve grown accustomed to pretending that they have it all together. Charisse and Dionne remind listeners that perfection is an unattainable standard, and the Lord doesn’t ask for us to be perfect, but to be authentic. If you find yourself lacking the support you need to withstand the pressure, look to the Lord and take ownership of your purpose. When you are living the purpose-driven life, the Lord is your pilot and chief navigator. So what are you going to do with the situation that God has placed you in? Will you answer His call and plant something that He can one day harvest? Unshakeable Faith: Standing Firm with Christ in Business with Guest Melissa Harris | Ep. 021
On today’s episode of The Christ-Driven Woman, Charisse is joined by guest Melissa Harris, a wealth coach and Christian leader who empowers her clients to find their purpose and live abundantly. After being successful in varied careers, Melissa was led to the financial services industry after feeling called to teach clients how to better manage their finances. She came to realize that when people are overwhelmed by the stress of working and making money, they are less able to engage with their families and with their churches, thus neglecting their purpose in Christ. Charisse and Melissa discuss the role of money and business in the life of a Christ-follower and give the following advice:   We need to make a practice out of praying over our finances and giving the direction over to God, who will teach us how to spend money wisely Focusing too much on money, the provision, causes us to lose focus on the Provider Just as we can follow a food-related diet, adopting a financial “diet” is a healthy practice that can prevent the obsession of making and/or spending money Christian business owners must have an unshakeable faith that can withstand seeds of doubt that try to derail their mission   As Christian business owners, Charisse and Melissa understand the importance of looking to God for direction, and encourage listeners to do the same. Whether you yourself own a business, lead a household, or are looking to take control of your wealth, relying on God’s wisdom is crucial to finding success. All you need to do is be present and willing, and the Lord will equip you with what you need to achieve great things in your personal life and in His greater plan. PERFECTION KILLS | Ep 20
None of us measure up.  In fact, Romans 3:23 says we all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.  Yet, we can push ourselves to reach impossible expectations when we don’t see ourselves through the eyes of Christ.  Perfectionism is a seed planted by the enemy to make us look solely at what WE are doing in our own power - while constantly whispering that we are not enough. Note the specific point, in our own power.  What’s really interesting is the battle is actually not about being perfect.  The battle is within, it's about trying to prove to yourself that you are enough.  Remarkably, when we understand that by allowing Jesus to work through us, by  accepting that we are more than enough only because of Christ, the need for perfectionism disappears.    Here are 3 things that perfectionism leads to:  False Expectations Inauthenticity  Isolation    These are 3 steps you can take to start releasing yourself from that hold of a perfectionist mindset:  Forgive yourself  Give more grace to others Follow God's leading as always Connect with Charisse through the resources below!   Charisse’s Personal Site https://www.charisseburton.com   Facebook https://m.facebook.com/charisseburtoncoach   Instagram https://www.instagram.com/charisse_burton?igsh=MWw5emh0M29sZXlwZA==   YouTube https://www.youtube.com/@charisseburtoncoach   Patreon https://www.patreon.com/thechristdrivenwoman

How do you identify? As TRASH or as TREASURE | Ep. 019
Have you been rejecting the true identity that you have been given? Is it easier to view yourself as trash, or as treasure? In today’s episode of The Christ-Driven Woman, Charisse reminds listeners that God has designed each and every one of us as a treasure, and it is the enemy who tries to convince us otherwise. If we don’t allow Jesus to correct our sense of identity, then we will inevitably look at ourselves through the lens of our past, our mistakes, and our sins. Charisse encourages us with the following truths:   God has never designed anyone to identify with trash — we are the ones who confuse His true intention for us You must uproot the seed of the inner critic who tells you that you aren’t treasured, and replace the lies of the critic with the love of the Creator You will never be able to step into your identity if you are constantly fighting against the truth that you are a treasure in the eyes of God   If you are struggling to see your worth through the eyes of Jesus, spend some time in prayer and ask God to replace the seed of critique with the truth of who you were created to be. When the seeds of self doubt are uprooted, only then can you replace those seeds with the truth found in Scripture. You are God’s treasure, and He desires to see you flourish in your worth, your purpose, and your inherent identity. Unwholesome YET Holy | Ep. 018
Do you ever struggle with feeling like you aren’t a “good Christian?” Like you aren’t “wholesome” enough for God? In today’s episode of The Christ-Driven Woman, Charisse speaks to those of us who may compare ourselves to other Christians, and feel like we just can’t measure up. For much of her life, the enemy tried to convince Charisse that she was not wholesome enough for her husband, not wholesome enough for a Godly life, and not wholesome enough for Jesus. Despite attacks from the enemy, God reminded Charisse of the following: Even the people who seem the most perfect on the outside struggle everyday with sin  The enemy is always going to try and make us feel like we aren’t good enough to live in accordance with Christ God made us the way that He did so that we can fulfill the purpose He has prepared for us Your status as a daughter of the King is greater than any lie you may falsely believe about your identity God does not love us because we’re becoming more holy; we become more holy because He loves us  Regardless of your shortcomings and mistakes, Jesus has prepared an invitation for you at His table that will never be revoked. All He asks of us is to come as we are, and allow the transforming power of God’s love to bring us to holiness. We can never be “good enough” on our own, but we can rejoice in the fact that God does not ask us to walk through this life alone.    Connect with Charisse through the resources below!   Charisse’s Personal Site https://www.charisseburton.com   Facebook https://m.facebook.com/charisseburtoncoach   Instagram https://www.instagram.com/charisse_burton?igsh=MWw5emh0M29sZXlwZA==   YouTube https://www.youtube.com/@charisseburtoncoach   Patreon https://www.patreon.com/thechristdrivenwoman

Styled by Faith: Reflecting the Image of Christ with Guest Courtney Robinson | Ep. 017
When you look in a mirror, what do you see looking back? Do you focus on your new gray hairs, on that pimple on your chin, or on your coffee-stained t-shirt? Or do you see a beautifully-made daughter of the King, empowered not by her appearance but by her calling? On today’s episode, Charisse is joined by guest Courtney Robinson—a speaker, style mentor, and best-selling author who uses her gifts to empower women through personal branding. After starting a business as a traditional stylist, in January of 2021 Courtney was diagnosed with four brain tumors that God used to reveal her true purpose. Now, Courtney is passionate not only about styling, but about helping women understand who God says they are, because an identity rooted in Christ amplifies a woman’s true beauty. She believes that when women step into their true identity, it shines brighter than any piece of clothing or jewelry that they could ever wear. In Charisse and Courtney’s conversation, listeners are reminded that:   God will take us from glory to glory, and each time we take a leap of faith, we learner to trust Him more We must identity with our birthright as daughters of the King, instead of identifying with our trials  In order to truly grow through trials, you have to lean into gratefulness and find the blessings in them The enemy wants you to believe that your identity is based on what has happened to you, but God reminds you that you are designed specifically and beautifully by your Creator   Despite the triumphs and tragedies that we have been through, or the false aspects of our identities that we may believe, we can never change God’s design for our lives. All He desires for His children are lives rooted in divine identity and led by the Holy Spirit who reminds us that we are beautiful, we are called, and we are loved. Identity Challenged: A View Through the Lens of Chronic Depression | Ep. 016 | TRIGGER WARNING: SEVERE DEPRESSION
WARNING: This is a difficult episode about depression. If you are having thoughts of harming yourself please contact the Suicide Lifeline 988 or 1-800-273-TALK (8255).  This one probably should include more warnings like Made For Mature Audiences or Listen At Your Own Risk. But this is real and many people are struggling in silence. This is something I was concerned would happen.  As some of you know I fight Chronic Depression.  I had a particularly nasty bout a few days ago and still not fully on the other side.   When I was praying about starting a podcast, I was a little worried this might happen...that there might come a time when I would be in the midst of a battle and have to record an episode.   So this one is more raw than any previously recorded.  I have no answers to share other than, God is good.  He will ALWAYS BE GOOD no matter what I'm fighting or what you are fighting.  That is the one simple TRUTH I can anchor myself to.  That does not mean I have any understanding.  It just means I can hold onto that.  Therefore, if I can believe that, can I go to the next step, the next truth, which is God loves me. These are the first two steps I see in how to get out of the pit the enemy just pushed, pulled, kicked or slammed you into.  This is dedicated to all of you who fight this kind of battle that no one else understands.  If you can hold onto nothing else, hold onto the belief that God is good.  If you need more support please reach out to the Suicide Lifeline number 988 or 1-800-273-TALK (8255). What Does God Call You? | Ep. 015
Why can it be so hard for us to believe good things about ourselves? On today’s episode of The Christ-Driven Woman, Charisse shares her own struggle with patience and growth. She encourages listeners with the truth that God has good things in store for us, and just because we need to grow through them does not mean they aren’t good. When we find ourselves lost and questioning the Father’s good plans for us, Charisse suggests asking the following questions:   Ask yourself: When did I start believing that God does not have good things for me? Ask Jesus: Where were you when that thought first took root? Ask God: What is the truth? Ask God: What do You call me? Ask God: How can I know the truth?   After asking these questions, open your ears to receive the answers and write down what you hear. God will find a way to answer each one of these questions in a way that will reach your heart in His perfect timing. Oftentimes it can be difficult for us to think positively about ourselves because we still don’t believe that God has good things in store. If this sounds like your experience, don’t be afraid to bring your questions to the Lord who longs to know you and loves you unconditionally. The Habits That Determine Your Identity | Ep. 014
Have you ever struggled with changing your habitual patterns of thinking? On today’s episode of The Christ-Driven Woman, Charisse reminds listeners that our habitual negative thoughts have the power to determine our identity. If we aren’t careful, we can easily allow other beliefs get in the way of what God has already spoken over us. Charisse encourages women to focus on the following if we wish to undo destructive patterns of thinking:   It is the negative thought that becomes the habit that then becomes the belief Our negative beliefs about ourselves actually can become true because we are already acting as if they are true In order to bring your true identity back to light, you must change your pattern of thinking so that you can change the pattern in your habits You have to do something different to get something different -- thus, you also have to think something different to keep something different If we let the enemy replace the truth of who God says we are with what the world says is important (e.g. motherhood, a career, relationship status, etc.), we will lose ourselves   What habitual thought have you internalized that doesn’t align with what God says about you? It isn’t an easy task to retrain your brain with truth, but you must do the work if you want to get closer to your heavenly Father and closer to your true identity. Before you can know WHO you are, you must become familiar with WHOSE you are, and He is ready to show you. Fearfully & Wonderfully Made with Guest Jessica Terenyi | Ep. 013
In today’s episode of The Christ-Driven Woman, Charisse is joined by guest Jessica Terenyi. Jessica is a professional organizer and life coach, and is owner and CEO of JK Organizing. She joins Charisse to discuss her story of turning her unique skills into a profitable business, and gives insight for women who may find themselves overly concerned with the cleanliness and organization of their lives. Charisse and Jessica’s conversation reminds listeners that:    The need for cleanliness and organization can come from a deeper desire for perfection and reaching unrealistic expectations There is beauty even in the chaotic and disorganized We must not let our desire for perfection prevent or overshadow the memories we make with loved ones amidst the “mess” It is important to find the root of perfectionistic behaviors and attack the lie or the false identity at the source    Jessica’s story reminds us of the importance of both utilizing our God-given gifts and keeping our perfectionism in check. The constant striving toward complete cleanliness is one that many mothers, daughters, and female entrepreneurs know all too well. And while Jessica herself  believes in the importance of organization, we must be able to appreciate the beauty in the mess and realize that we were not created to reach perfection—we are fearfully and wonderfully made, even when we forget to unload the dishwasher.   To connect with Jessica Terenyi and find out more about her work, check out:   Linktree https://linktr.ee/jkorganizingllc   JK Organizing https://www.organizinghomesandlives.com/ ——   Connect with Charisse through the resources below!   Charisse’s Personal Site https://www.charisseburton.com — Facebook https://m.facebook.com/charisseburtoncoach — Instagram https://www.instagram.com/charisse_burton?igsh=MWw5emh0M29sZXlwZA== — YouTube https://www.youtube.com/@charisseburtoncoach — Patreon https://www.patreon.com/thechristdrivenwoman

When Your Answer Doesn't Look Like What You Think It "Should" | Ep. 012
Today I just get really REAL about how much I don’t like the fact that we have “trials of many kinds,” we are to consider pure joy.  James 1:2-4 has always made me nervous growing up, as has many verses that talk about going through trouble.  I thought if I read it or someone talked about it, that meant something bad was going to happen. I couldn’t even TOUCH the pages in the book of JOB.  My identity was in fear not in who God created me to be.     When we KNOW OUR TRUE IDENTITY it really won’t matter what happens.  We can have joy in chaos as the song goes.  We can start to see beyond ourselves and realize that because God loves us so much we can trust Him even when the answer we are praying for doesn’t look like what we think it “should,” or when the hang-time between the leap of faith and the landing takes longer than we like.  We can KNOW “that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”  Romans 8:28   When we truly know the root of our identity is in Christ we can have peace.    That means getting real with ourselves and asking the questions:  Am I praying with complete trust for the outcome or only seeing what I want? Am I open to however God wants to answer this prayer? Does it change who God is if the answer isn’t what I thought it would be? How will I respond to God when I don’t understand the answer to my prayers?  Where is my identity truly found?     Connect with Charisse through the resources below!   Charisse’s Personal Site https://www.charisseburton.com — Facebook https://m.facebook.com/charisseburtoncoach — Instagram https://www.instagram.com/charisse_burton?igsh=MWw5emh0M29sZXlwZA== — YouTube https://www.youtube.com/@charisseburtoncoach — Patreon https://www.patreon.com/thechristdrivenwoman

When the Leap of Faith Doesn’t Land When You Think it Will | Ep. 011
What happens when you take a leap of faith, but you don’t end up where you expected? In today’s episode of The Christ-Driven Woman, Charisse continues her discussion of “quantum leaps,” and offers encouragement to those of us who have taken a leap, but don’t feel as if we’ve landed in the promise just yet. It’s easy to become discouraged when we take a risk or pursue change, especially when we find ourselves in a period of “hang time,” waiting for the fruit to show itself. If you find yourself in this situation now or in the future, Charisse gives the following advice:   The patience that is required in the waiting is often harder than the strength it takes to make the first step The growth that is taking shape in the “hang time” is what you will need to sustain the promise that God has prepared you for A period of waiting can often feel isolated and lonely, but remember that God is always walking alongside you — and you are not the only person feeling that way If the promise at the end of your leap of faith isn't your idea of “good,” return to the Lord and ask for clarity and direction   For some of us, if we knew how long it would take to get to our promised land, we wouldn’t ever want to let go of the edge. If you are experiencing a major life change or are contemplating taking a quantum leap, remember that if God has asked you to take that first step, He will be with you through it. How to Create a QUANTUM LEAP | Ep. 010
Have you ever felt yourself on the verge of experiencing tremendous personal growth? Are you at a point in your life where you hear God calling you to grow? In today’s episode of The Christ-Driven Woman, Charisse discusses the concept of a “quantum leap,” which can be described as an astronomical amount of growth that can sometimes happen suddenly, but not always. Oftentimes, when we are pursuing growth in an area of our lives, we expect the change to happen immediately. And yet, even the definition of a quantum leap tells us that this change doesn’t always occur instantaneously. Charisse encourages listeners to seek the guidance of the Lord before pursuing a quantum leap, and reminds us of the following:   We must listen to the calling of God, because if the quantum leap that we hope for is not in line with God’s plans for us, our efforts will be fruitless You will attain the desired success in your quantum leap when it adheres to God’s timing and glorifies Him in the process When we choose to take the leap, we must also make the decision to stay in that motivated mindset, even when the results haven’t happened yet Always remain patient in what God is calling you towards — it is often the patience that is the hardest part   Have you yet asked God about the direction that He wants to take you? If you are experiencing stagnant growth and want to glorify the Lord in your life, take some time to pray and listen for His calling. We as daughters of the King are called to be an example of God’s love, and our lives are meant to give others the desire to love God as well. When you know that the Lord has said “Yes” to your quantum leap, stay consistent and patient, regardless of seeing immediate results. In due time, you will experience the growth that God wants for you, and He will be magnified in the process.  Galatians 6:9-10 tells us exactly that.  Paul reminds us in that passage to not grow weary of doing good and at the right time we will reap a harvest if we don’t give up.  Connect with Charisse through the resources below!   Charisse’s Personal Site https://www.charisseburton.com — Facebook https://m.facebook.com/charisseburtoncoach — Instagram https://www.instagram.com/charisse_burton?igsh=MWw5emh0M29sZXlwZA== — YouTube https://www.youtube.com/@charisseburtoncoach — Patreon https://www.patreon.com/thechristdrivenwoman

IDENTITY: In the Hands of the Potter with Guest Lisa Drennon | Ep. 009
In today’s episode of The Christ-Driven Woman, Charisse is joined by guest Lisa Drennon, a wealth-activator and founder of “I Date Money.” Lisa strongly believes that “It doesn’t matter how much money you have, it’s what you do with it,” and she has the goal of teaching women to fall head over heels in love with money. But what does she mean by this? Doesn’t the Bible tell us that the love of money is the root of all evil? Charisse and Lisa address this question and discuss their individual “money identities,” advising listeners of the following: Putting anything above God—which includes money, our careers, and even our families—is what becomes wrong We need money to survive, and money in the hands of good people can do amazing things When you aren’t in a scarcity-mindset with your finances, you are better able to help and support others We have the ability to love money in a way that is freeing, joyful, and helpful—without making money an idol There are many women today who may experience fear when it comes to making and spending money, which is in turn wreaking havoc on their confidence and sense of identity, and blocking them from getting to the next stage in their business. By following Lisa’s model and sitting down and “dating money,” you will be better able to track your assets and take accountability of your finances, creating a stable and “loving” money identity. Deuteronomy 8:18 tells us that the Lord has given us the ability to gain wealth, and Charisse and Lisa remind us that it is our responsibility to use our money to bless others and glorify God. Yet in order to use our finances to the benefit of the Kingdom, we must first learn how to establish a responsible, resourceful and healthy relationship with them.     To connect with Lisa Drennon and find out more about her work, check out: I Date Money | Wealth Activation https://www.idatemoney.com/ ——   Connect with Charisse through the resources below!   Charisse’s Personal Site https://www.charisseburton.com — Facebook https://m.facebook.com/charisseburtoncoach — Instagram https://www.instagram.com/charisse_burton?igsh=MWw5emh0M29sZXlwZA== — YouTube https://www.youtube.com/@charisseburtoncoach — Patreon https://www.patreon.com/thechristdrivenwoman

How Your Identity Affects Your Sales | Ep. 008
As always, Charisse is focused on your identity in Christ.  Today she talks about it in terms of how you sell your service or product.  Many times we make it harder than it needs to be simply because we are believing thoughts that are not true.   She gives the example of how we tell people about our favorite restaurant.  We never think about the fact that we are really selling it.  We don’t feel bad or question sharing that amazing place to eat or think, I hope they don’t think I’m being too pushy. Charisse also explains how a “sales mentality” is being more concerned about yourself and what others will think rather than about serving and providing the solution for someone who is praying for their problem to be solved. No one is perfect but we are striving to get more aligned on a daily basis. Charisse reminds us how our identity affects everything in our lives, including how we approach selling.  What thoughts do you have when you think about selling? Or when you are in a sales conversation?  Are they serving you?  Are they hindering you?  Are those thoughts in alignment with who God says you are?  The more we dig into our relationship with God and find those thoughts that are not from him, the better we can serve our Dream Client.  Think of 1 thought that is not serving you when it comes to sales.  Ask yourself, would God be saying this to me?  Find scriptures that disprove that thought that is not from him. Find scripture that reminds you of the truth. Charisse shares a “cheat” she uses to find scriptures quickly and easily that will allow you to anchor yourself to your identity in Christ!  Serving the way God created us to, with the gift he gave us, requires courage, boldness, and belief. That is the only way we will ever reach the fullest capacity for which he made us.      Connect with Charisse through the resources below!   Charisse’s Personal Site https://www.charisseburton.com — Facebook https://m.facebook.com/charisseburtoncoach — Instagram https://www.instagram.com/charisse_burton?igsh=MWw5emh0M29sZXlwZA== — YouTube https://www.youtube.com/@charisseburtoncoach — Patreon https://www.patreon.com/thechristdrivenwoman
