In the final episode of 2025 Stef is talking to the paediatric psychologist and nutritionist, Dr.Colette Reynolds. If you are dealing with a fussy eater it can be an incredibly stressful time. Maybe they won't try new foods, or have a very rigid diet. Has the mealtime become a battleground or do you feel like a cafe cook offering various option? Dr. Colette has lots of words of wisdom which will hopefully take the pressure off a little bit.
You can find Dr. Colette at https://growinghealthyeaters.ie/ or on Instagram @growing_healthy_eaters

This week, actor Ali Bastian (Hollyoaks, The Bill, Doctors) joins Stef to talk about discovering a lump while breastfeeding — a lump that turned out to be breast cancer. Trusting her instincts, she sought medical advice right away, and thank goodness she did.
Ali also opens up about her journey as the parent of a child with severe food allergies, sharing candid insights into navigating that challenging world.
*Just to clarify: it may have sounded as though Ali weaned her daughter at 8 weeks, but that’s not the case. She was actually weaned at five and a half months. We apologise for any confusion!
Ali recommends following @theallergybadge and @drhelenallergy on Instagram.
Some good kids books about allergies are 'Matilda Has An Allergy' by Aimee Victoria Allen and 'Have You Ever Seen a Bee with Hives?' by Davina Steel (a previous episode from 18th Feb 2025 is well worth a listen).

Talking to Stef this week is Aisleen Harte - the author of My Voice, My Choice. Aisleen is an early years educator and a mum, who wrote this thought provoking book about allowing children to use their voice and make their own choices. It sounds so simple but as the conversation progresses, Stef and Aisleen start to unravel all the conditioning we are taught along the way. Especially those of us that spent years being 'good girls'.

Hayley told Stef that if we look at our teenagers with a developmental lens, it can help change our mindset when dealing with their risk-taking brains! They discussed how certain things can have natural consequences, where perhaps parents don't need to add a 'punishment' and how connection is vital at this stage of development.
Hayley also touched on bedtimes and how challenging they can be.
