🎙️ Episode: Wellness vs. Fitness: The Difference That Changed Everything
Overview
In this episode, Serenity shares how understanding the difference between wellness and fitness completely changed her life. She explains how focusing on wellness first built the foundation that allowed her to thrive in her fitness journey and how both now work together in harmony.
⸻
What Wellness Really Meant
Wellness was Serenity’s season of restoration. It was not about the gym or tracking macros. It was about coming back home to her body after burnout, postpartum depletion, and emotional disconnection.
Wellness looked like rest, prayer, nourishing meals, herbal teas, fasting with intention, journaling, and unlearning hustle culture. It was about peace, not perfection. That season of healing taught her how to feel again and built the foundation for everything that came next.
⸻
Why She Shifted Into Fitness
Once she felt well, Serenity began to crave strength. After her third baby, she started moving her body again and soon found herself pregnant with her fourth. Instead of stopping, she stayed consistent. She lifted and ran through pregnancy and postpartum. Fitness became her therapy, her outlet, and her peace.
⸻
Finding Strength in Solitude
Serenity did not fall in love with group workouts. She fell in love with the quiet of training alone. Those lifting sessions became sacred moments of reflection, discipline, and self-trust. Strength training became how she honored her body, not how she tried to fix it.
⸻
The Trap of Confusing Fitness for Wellness
Serenity shares how easy it is to look strong on the outside while feeling empty inside. Fitness without inner balance can become another form of avoidance. True strength starts with wellness. Wellness builds the foundation that keeps fitness sustainable and meaningful.
⸻
Living in Alignment
Now her life flows in rhythm where wellness and fitness work together. Some seasons are for heavy lifting, others for gentle reset. Both matter. Wellness gives soul. Fitness gives structure. Together they create balance and wholeness.
⸻
Reflection
Ask yourself
• Am I chasing fitness while neglecting wellness
• Am I disciplining my body more than I am listening to it
• Where do I need softness and where do I need strength
You do not have to choose one. You simply have to find your rhythm.
⸻
Closing Thoughts
Wellness built Serenity’s foundation. Fitness built her expression.
Fitness built her body. Wellness built her life.

🎙 Episode: “Why I Left the Church, and What I Found Instead”
This episode isn’t about drama.
It’s about discernment, peace, and the courage to outgrow what no longer aligns.
For almost a year, I poured myself into a church community I thought would be my home. I served. I believed. I stayed even when my spirit started whispering, something feels off.
Until those whispers became a roar I couldn’t ignore.
This conversation dives into:
✨ What spiritual manipulation can look like (and how to recognize it)
✨ The difference between obedience and discernment
✨ Why questioning isn’t rebellion.. it’s reverence for truth
✨ The freedom that comes when you stop confusing loyalty with love
✨ How leaving an unhealthy “spiritual home” can actually deepen your connection to the Divine
Leaving the church wasn’t about losing faith, it was about reclaiming it.
Because peace is sacred. Truth is sacred. And sometimes, the bravest thing you can do is listen to that still, small voice that says: go.

• “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” — John 10:27
• “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds.” — Philippians 4:7
✨ Themes Explored:
• Spiritual manipulation vs. true ministry
• The role of discernment when something “feels off”
• Why a healthy spiritual space welcomes your questions
• Finding God outside of institutional religion
✨ Closing Thought
“I didn’t leave because I stopped loving God,
I left because I refused to confuse manipulation with ministry.”
If this episode resonated, share it with someone who’s questioning too.
None of us should have to deconstruct alone. 🌙

🎙 The Tuesday Tea: Fast Like a Girl
This week’s episode is all about reclaiming rhythm, rest, and real connection with your body.
I’m diving into Dr. Mindy Pelz’s book Fast Like a Girl, breaking down what it really means to fast with your hormones, not against them — and how honoring your cycle can change everything from your energy to your self-trust.
We’re talking feminine flow, fasting freedom, and learning to listen to your body again. 💫

Holy Spirit: “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”” Acts of the Apostles 1:8 NLT “But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,” Galatians 5:22 NLT “But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. (And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to him at all.)” Romans 8:9 NLT Ministry: “God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another. Do you have the gift of speaking? Then speak as though God himself were speaking through you. Do you have the gift of helping others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies. Then everything you do will bring glory to God through Jesus Christ. All glory and power to him forever and ever! Amen.” 1 Peter 4:10-11 NLT Email me @ Serenity.Stubbs1111@gmail.com IG @__thiccntired
Welcome to the introduction of my upcoming 8 part series. The story of my life, the struggles, the triumphs and all the on betweens and how I feel that God had a hand in all of it, in order to help me see and fulfill my potential in his kingdom. I’m so excited, and nervous to share my raw story with you all, as this has been a project I’ve felt led to do, and have been asked to do, since 2017/2018. I’m gonna take you all the way back to 1991 and my conception to present day, at the age of 32. My relationship with Christ has been chaotic, to say the least. I’ve struggled with addiction, a job as a sex worker, homelessness, and so much more. But my story is one of hope, and I HOPE you won’t miss that message.
